Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for address assignment for matrix-like arranged light modules, which is determined in each light module whether from adjacent light modules will emit light and with the help of this information, the position of the respective light module is determined within the array and then each light module depending on the position Address is assigned.
- Illuminating modules are often used as so-called video lights, for example in matrix-type arrangements, in order to be able to display video sequences over a larger area or to be able to display optical effects.
- video lights for example in matrix-type arrangements
- the lighting modules can now for example be provided with addresses directly before installation or even during production.
- addresses directly before installation or even during production.
- each light module is manually assigned an address.
- the lighting module in the corner above left are provided with the address 1 and then the lighting modules in turn up to a light module in the bottom right corner are provided with ascending addresses, causing a control module due to the address automatically the Position of the corresponding light module is known.
- the manual addressing results Now, on the one hand the problem that this procedure is associated with a considerable effort especially in larger arrangements and on the other hand, that in a manual addressing also operating errors can occur, which in turn lead to a wrong control of the lighting modules.
- Lighting modules which have so-called. Communication units on several sides of the light module. Each communication unit of a lighting module is in each case connected to a corresponding communication unit of a lighting module adjacent to the respective side, whereby communication between two adjacent lighting modules is possible.
- a control unit is connected to the communication unit of the lighting module on a first lighting module of an arrangement of a plurality of lighting modules. Due to the connection between the light modules and the connection between the control unit and the first light module, all light modules are now connected to one another and to the control unit.
- the control unit When the address is assigned, the control unit now communicates with the first lighting module, as a result of which the first lighting module is assigned a first address, for example A1, or assigns itself. Subsequently, the first light module communicates with the light modules connected to the corresponding communication units, in which case, for example, the sequence is followed first down, then left, then right, then above. On the basis of the information of the first lighting module, the second lighting module is then assigned an address which has been increased by 1, for example A2, or assigns itself. These processes are repeated until all the lighting modules have an address. On the basis of the information as to which side of the light module an adjacent light module is connected, the positions of all light modules, which are then transmitted to the control unit together with the corresponding addresses, then result overall.
- the WO 2010/097737 A1 shows a method for automatically starting up devices of a network control system having a plurality of devices arranged in a grid, each device adapted to relay messages received from directly adjacent devices to directly adjacent devices via light,
- the present invention is based on the object to provide an alternative method, with the help of an error-free address assignment for the lighting modules of an arrangement is possible.
- lighting modules such as video modules
- sensors for detecting light.
- These brightness or light sensors are arranged within the lighting module in such a way that the sensors can detect the light emitted by adjacent lighting modules.
- the light of all the lighting modules is switched on and the position of a lighting module arranged at one of the four corners of the matrix-like arrangement is determined first.
- lighting modules or video modules are generally square or rectangular, it is detected in the present invention in each lighting module, preferably on the left, right, upper and / or lower side, whether light is emitted by adjacent lighting modules.
- the lighting modules thus preferably have corresponding sensors on the left, right, upper and / or lower side of the lighting module.
- the position of the first lighting module is determined by the fact that no light is emitted from adjacent lighting modules on at least two adjacent sides of the lighting module.
- a first lighting module is determined by receiving no light from adjacent lighting modules on the left and upper sides of a lighting module, whereby the lighting module arranged on the top left in the matrix is recognized or detected as the first lighting module.
- the light module arranged in the upper left corner has been recognized and has received, for example, the address 1, it can then further be provided that in this light module the light of the light module is switched off except for a lower part such that a leftward in a row adjacent light module detected no more light from the left and a downwardly adjacent light module still light detected.
- the lighting module arranged to the right of this first lighting module now also detects that no more light is emitted from adjacent lighting modules both on the left and above.
- the light module then receives, for example, the address 2.
- This procedure can then preferably be repeated until a light module not only detects left and top no more light from a neighboring light module, but also detects no light on the right.
- the light of the lighting modules of this series is then completely switched off and the position of the first lighting module of the next row is in turn determined by that no light from adjacent lighting modules is detected on the left and upper side of the lighting module.
- the entire process is then repeated until the positions of all lighting modules in all rows are known and, accordingly, each lighting module also has an address.
- the light of this lighting module may be switched off and then for the left to be turned off, once the position of a lighting module arranged in the upper left corner of the matrix-like arrangement has been determined first and the light module adjacent to each other in a column detects that the light of the light module has been switched off, in which case the position of the light module adjacent to the left in a row is determined by first detecting the sensors that neither left nor up Light is emitted from adjacent lighting modules and on the other hand by the previously obtained information that a left adjacent light module has recently switched off the light. Subsequently, the light of this light module is turned off again. Again, this procedure can be repeated until a light module detects not only left and top no more light, but also right, in turn, then the position of the first light module of the next row is determined.
- each luminous module is assigned an address in succession in succession.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 Several inventive lighting modules AH are shown, each having on the left, top and right side a sensor 1 which detects the light emitted from the adjacent lighting modules light.
- All lighting modules AH are connected to a common bus.
- the lighting modules AD and H connected to a first bus and the lighting modules EG to a second bus.
- each light module A-H is switched on first. For this purpose, for example, from a central control unit not shown to each light module sent a data packet over the bus, in which the information is contained that all bulbs or light sources of the light module, for example, in the color white or another brightness or color to be turned on , In each light module is now continuously checked whether the left and top sensor 1 detects no light from adjacent lighting modules and thus each "dark" reports.
- the lighting module A switches off its located in the upper region bulbs or light sources. Only in a lower area is then still emitted by the light module A light. In this case, it is necessary for the light in the module A to be switched off in such a way that the left-hand sensor 1 of the module B no longer detects any light, but the upper sensor 1 of the light-emitting module E still does. After the light module A has switched off the light in the upper area, it checks nor, whether the right sensor 1 also reports that no light is emitted from a neighboring light module. If this is not the case, the light module A communicates its address, in this case the address 1, via the bus to the other lighting modules.
- the light module A lingers in a loop in which it continuously checks whether a packet is sent from another light module via the bus, that this other light module is the last light module in a row and in addition, whether an event for normal operation, ie that all the light modules are completely dark, has occurred.
- the light module A receives the packet via the bus, that another light module is the last in a row, the light module A completely shuts off the light and then returns to the loop just described.
- the loop is aborted and module A returns to normal operation.
- the other lighting modules are addressed, wherein in the light module D, the right sensor 1 reports that no light is emitted from a neighboring light module, whereby the light module D in addition to its address received even via the bus informs that it is the last light module in the row is. On the basis of this information, the light is then completely switched off in the lighting modules AD, as a result of which the upper and left sensor 1 in the module E reports that no more light is emitted by adjacent lighting modules.
- the light modules EH use only the transmitted from the light module D address.
- the light of the lighting modules in the second row is completely switched off.
- all lighting modules are switched off in the arrangement, whereby all lighting modules can return to normal operation. This can be done, for example, by switching the device off and on again, by playing back normal frames, or by running the maximum time required to assign all the addresses.
- a lighting module receives multiple addresses or assigns itself, this lighting module then tells the other lighting modules the last address used by him over the bus.
- the luminous module A is assigned the addresses 1 and 2 and, accordingly, the luminous module B receives the address 3, the luminous module C receives the address 4, etc.
- the method described above is particularly suitable when the lighting module has a plurality of lighting means or light sources, which make it possible that the light can be switched off in an upper part.
- lighting modules or video modules that have a multiplicity of pixels are conceivable here.
- the respective light module has, for example, only one light source or one light source
- a somewhat different approach in the addressing of the light modules is appropriate.
- the light module A has been assigned the address 1 or has assigned itself
- the light is completely switched off. This switching off the light now registers both the left sensor 1 in the light module B and the upper sensor 1 in the light module E. Accordingly, now recognizes the light module B, that it is the next light module in the series and thus gets the next address assigned or assigns itself.
- the light module E knows that it is not the next one due to the information that the light on the upper sensor 1 and not on the left has been switched off Module in the row, but the first module in the next row. Accordingly, the light module E waits until the information comes from the light module G that it is the last light module in the series.
- the other steps of the addressing are identical to the method described above.
- the lighting modules are all connected to a common bus.
- FIG. 3 an arrangement shown in which the lighting modules AD and H are connected to a first bus and the lighting modules EG to a second bus.
- light modules AH are again lighting modules that can turn off an upper part of the light, while a lower part of the light module continues to emit light.
- the method of addressing the lighting modules AD now corresponds to the first, with respect to FIG. 2 presented procedure. Then, after the lighting module D outputs the message on the first bus that it is the last light module in the series, in turn, the light of the lighting modules AD is completely turned off. As a result, the left and upper sensor 1 of the lighting module E reports that no more light is detected, as a result of which the lighting module E is assigned an address or assigns itself. Now that the light module D outputs its address only on the first bus and not on the second bus behaves the light module E as if it were the first light module and accordingly receives the address 1. Then the light modules F and G are addressed accordingly.
- the light module H determines that the light sensor module G adjacent to the left sensor 1 has been switched off and then receives an address or assigns it itself. It should be noted here that the last address transmitted via the first bus is that of the lighting module D and, accordingly, the lighting module H receives an address which is increased by 1 relative to the address of the lighting module D. After then the light module H also has an address, the light module H turns off its light completely, as well as the right sensor 1 no light is detected. This switching off the light of the light module H also detects the right sensor 1 of the light module G, but no address is communicated via the second bus, since the light module H only via the first bus its Address informs.
- the lighting module G assumes that the subsequent lighting module H is connected to another data bus and waits until all the lighting modules of the other bus have been addressed. Subsequently, the light module G behaves as if it were the last light module in the series and accordingly transmits to the other light modules of this bus the message that it is the last light module in the row, whereby the light modules E, F and G are completely turned off.
- lighting modules A-H are addressed in an arrangement which are connected to different buses, the addressing starting, for example, in each bus with address 1.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Ablauf der Adressierung in einem Leuchtmodul;
- Fig. 2
- matrixartige Anordnung mehrerer Leuchtmodule mit einem Bus;
