Claims (12)

    - wobei die Gehäuse über ein Scharnier (30) schwenkbar miteinander verbunden sind und eine geöffnete und eine geschlossene Stellung des Gerätes definieren; wobei die konkave Platte (12) dafür vorgesehen ist, den in der Längsrichtung verlaufenden Kern (22) in der geschlossenen Stellung unter einem Überlappungswinkel (α) zwischen 160° und 190° derart zu überlappen, dass die zweite Behandlungsfläche mit der ersten Behandlungsfläche in Berührung kommt und die Haare einklemmt.
  2. Gerät nach dem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei der Überdeckungswinkel (α) zwischen 170° und 185° und vorzugsweise ungefähr 180° beträgt.
  3. Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei zumindest eine der beiden Längskanten der Platte eine Dicke (e) zwischen 2 und 6 mm hat.
  4. Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei sich zumindest eine der beiden Längskanten (12', 12") der Platte (12) auf derselben Ebene wie die angrenzende Kante (10', 10") des ersten Gehäuses (10) befindet.

Gerät nach dem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei die Verriegelungsvorrichtungen (26, 27) ein mit der Längsachse (L) des Kerns (22) fest verbundenes Zahnrad (26) und einen mit dem Gehäuse fest verbundenen Keil (27) umfassen, wobei dieser dazu bestimmt ist, zwischen den Zähnen des Zahnrades (26) entlang der genannten Längsachse (L) zu gleiten.
  9. Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Breite (La) des ersten Gehäuses auf Höhe der Kanten (12', 12") der ersten Behandlungsfläche (12) weniger als 32 mm beträgt.
  10. Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das erste Gehäuse (10) zwei seitliche Zylinder (14, 15) umfasst, die um ihre jeweilige Längsachse (Δ 14; Δ 15) frei drehbar sind und auf beiden Seiten der Platte (12) angrenzend an ihre Längskanten (12', 12") angeordnet sind.
  11. Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die erste Fläche (12) zur Behandlung der Haare dazu bestimmt ist, durch ein zweites Heizmittel (13) aufgeheizt zu werden.
  12. Verfahren zur Nutzung des Geräts nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, das die folgenden Schritte umfasst:
    a) Das Gerät an der Wurzel einer Haarsträhne ansetzen und es mehrere Sekunden möglichst nahe der Wurzel statisch zusammengedrückt halten,
    b) anschließend das Gerät um seine Längsachse (L) um ca. eine Vierteldrehung nach unten drehen,
    c) dann das Gerät entlang der Strähne bis zu ihrer Spitze gleiten lassen.
