    Description of Embodiment
  • A car device for an elevator according to an embodiment of the present invention is described below referring to the accompanying drawings. In the drawing, the same reference symbols represent the same or corresponding portions, respectively.
  • FIG. 1 is a view illustrating the car device as viewed from the front side, that is, the landing side. Besides a car frame and cage components, a car device 1 for an elevator includes at least a pair of right and left door panels 3a and 3b, a driving mechanism 5, and a door frame 7. It is sufficient for the car device of the present invention to include at least one door panel. The above-mentioned pair of right and left door panels is described as an example.
  • The pair of right and left door panels 3a and 3b opens/closes a doorway to a cage. The cage is constructed in a known mode, specifically, is constructed of cage components including a floor, a ceiling, a front wall, right and left side walls, a rear wall, and the like. The cage components are supported in a known mode, specifically, are supported by a car frame including a plank, a pair of right and left stiles, a crosshead, and the like.
  • The driving mechanism 5 drives the door panels 3a and 3b so that the door panels are opened/closed. The driving mechanism 5 includes a driving source 9 such as a motor, a pair of right and left rotating bodies 11a and 11b, a circulating body 13 having an endless form, and door hangers 15a and 15b provided as many as the door panels.
  • The door frame 7 supports the door panels 3a and 3b and the driving mechanism 5. Additionally referring to FIGS. 2 to 4, the details of the door frame 7 are described. FIGS. 2, 3, and 4 are longitudinal sectional views respectively taken along the lines II-II. III-III, and IV-IV in FIG. 1.
  • The door frame 7 includes a support portion 17 and a top-plate portion 19. The support portion 17 corresponds to an upper part of the door frame 7 and supports the door panels 3a and 3b and the driving mechanism 5. The top-plate portion 19 corresponds to a lower part of the door frame 7 and is located above a doorway 23 to a cage 21.
  • The door frame 7 is a single-piece frame including the support portion 17 and the top-plate portion 19. Specifically, the support portion 17 and the top-plate portion 19 are not prepared as separate members which are then bonded to form the door frame, but respectively make up corresponding parts of the single-piece frame. Therefore, the door frame 7 of this embodiment has neither a bonded portion, a mating surface, nor a definite boundary between the support portion 17 and the top-plate portion 19. The single-pierce frame as described above can be obtained by, for example, a bending process or press working if the single-piece frame is made of a metal. However, it is sufficient for the door frame of the present invention to be constructed as a single-piece body which is not required to be subjected to a subsequent bounding process. Therefore, the door frame may be manufactured by using any manufacturing method which is not limited to the exemplified processing method.
  • First, the driving source 9 is mounted to the support portion 17 of the door frame 7 in a suspended manner . More specifically, a portion horizontally extending toward the landing side (forward) is formed on an uppermost portion of the support portion 17. The driving source 9 is suspended from a lower surface of the horizontally extending portion by a fastener such as a bolt.
  • An output shaft of the driving source 9 extends toward the side opposite to the landing (backward). The first rotating body 11a is mounted to the output shaft. Specifically, the first rotating body 11a is arranged between the driving source 9 and the support portion 17 of the door frame 7.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 1, the first rotating body 11a is located above one wing wall 25a, whereas the second rotating body 11b is located above another wing wall 25b. Specifically, the first rotating body 11a and the second rotating body 11b are significantly separated away from each other in a horizontal direction. The second rotating body 11b is turnably supported by the support portion 17 of the door frame 7. The circulating body 13 is looped around the rotating bodies 11a and 11b. When the first rotating body 11a is rotated by a driving force of the driving source 9, the circulating body 13 is driven so as to follow the rotation of the first rotating body. As a result, in turn, the second rotating body 11b is rotated so as to fellow the rotation of the circulating body.
  • The pair of right and left door hangers 15a and 15b connects the corresponding door panels 3a and 3b and the circulating body 13 to each other. More specifically, an upper end portion of the one door hanger 15a is connected to a portion extending as a relatively upper part of the circulating body 13, whereas a lower end portion thereof is connected to an upper end portion of the one door panel 3a. Similarly, an upper end portion of the another door hanger 15b is connected to a portion extending as a relatively lower part of the circulating body 13, whereas a lower end portion thereof is connected to an upper end portion of the another door panel 3b. Even when the circulating body 13 is rotated and circulated in any direction, the portion of the circulating body 13, which extends as the relatively upper part, and the portion of the circulating body 13, which extends as the relatively lower part, move in the directions horizontally opposite to each other. With the configuration described above, the pair of right and left door panels 3a and 3b move in a direction closer to each other or a direction away from each other, specifically, are driven so as to perform an opening/closing operation. The door hangers 15a and 15b are fixed to the circulating body 13 in a suspended manner by using appropriate fixtures 27 and fasteners 29 as an example.
  • In the manner described above, the driving mechanism 5 is supported by the support portion 17 of the door frame 7. The door panels 3a and 3b are supported in a suspended manner so as to be openable/closable with respect to the support portion 17.
  • On the other hand, together with the pair of right and left wing walls 25a and 25b, the top-plate portion 19 of the door frame 7 constitutes the front wall included in the cage components described above. Bellow the wing walls 25a and 25b, a sill 31, which extends horizontally, is provided so as to connect the wing walls 25a and 25b to each other. Lower parts of the door panels 3a and 3b are guided and supported by the sill 31. The top-plate portion 19 of the door frame 7 defines the doorway 23 for the cage 21 in cooperation with the pair of right and left wing walls 25a and 25b and the sill 31.
  • The door frame 7 includes a door rail portion 33 at least above the top-plate portion 19, that is, in a lower part of the support portion 17. The door rail portion 33 forms a projecting shape toward the landing side. In connection with the door rail portion, at least one, in this embodiment, a pair of right and left hanger rollers 35a and 35b, and at least one, in this embodiment, a pair of right and left upthrust rollers 37a and 37b are rotatably provided to each of the door panels 3a and 3b. The hanger rollers 35a and 35b and the upthrust rollers 37a and 37b are vertically aligned. The hanger rollers 35a and 35b and the upthrust rollers 37a and 37b are vertically separated away from each other. Between the hanger rollers and the upthrust rollers, the door rail portion 33 extends horizontally. The door rail portion 33 has a rectangular projecting region on a longitudinal cross section in side view. In this manner, the door rail portion includes an upper support surface 33a and a lower support surface 33b which extend substantially in parallel to each other. The upper support surface 33a guides and supports the hanger rollers 35a and 35b, whereas the lower support surface 33b guides and supports the upthrust rollers 37a and 37b.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4, the door frame 7 is fixed to a ceiling 39 included in the cage components by an appropriate fastener 41. By taking advantage of the lower support surface 33b being a horizontal surface, a portion of the ceiling 39, which similarly extends horizontally, is overlapped with the horizontal surface of the lower support surface 33b. In this manner, the overlapped surfaces are coupled by the fastener 41 to fix the door frame 7.
  • According to the car device of this embodiment described above, the door frame is the single-piece frame including the support portion and the top-plate portion. Therefore, a clearance Df (see FIGS. 2 and 3) between the door panels and the top-plate portion is formed to have a desired size with high accuracy and ease at the time of completion of the car. Moreover, the support for the door panels and the driving mechanism and the ensuring of the top plate above the doorway to the cage can be realized by the single member. Thus, a reduction in the number of components and a reduction in cost, which is brought about thereby, can be achieved. Further, the combination of facilitation of the ensuring of the size with high accuracy and the reduction in the number of components described above allows the achievement of a reduction in installation time for the car device. Further, when the door rail portion which is a projecting shape toward the landing side is formed in the support portion of the door frame, a risk of misalignment between the portion functioning as the rail and the portion functioning as the frame and the efforts for alignment therebetween are eliminated. Therefore, further facilitation of the ensuring of the size with high accuracy, reduction in cost, and reduction in installation time can be realized.
  • Further, in the configuration in which the at least one pair of the hanger rollers and at least one pair of the upthrust rollers, which are vertically separated away from each other, is provided to each of the door panels, the door rail portion of the door frame is formed so as to have the rectangular projecting region on the longitudinal cross section in side view. As a result, the door rail portion has the upper surface facing the hanger rollers and the lower surface facing the upthrust rollers. Specifically, the door rail portion can support two types of rollers even though the door rail portion is a part of the single-piece frame.
  • Further, the door frame is fixed not to the car frame but to the ceiling which is one of the car components. Therefore, a clearance Dw (see FIGS. 2 and 3) between the door panels supported by the door frame and the wing walls which are another of the car components can be formed to have a desired size with high accuracy and ease.
  • Although the contents of the present invention have been specifically described above referring to the preferred embodiment, it is apparent that those skilled in the art can adopt various modified modes within the scope of the present invention as described in the appended claims.
