  • a method of this kind is apparent from the DE 10 2007 041 906 A1 , In this method, a small amount of water is introduced into the tub of a laundry treating machine and heated by means of a heater covered by this water. In this case, water vapor is generated, which is used for the treatment of laundry items in the laundry treatment machine.
  • This laundry items can be freed from adhering odors without a washing process. Ventilation is particularly advantageous for non-washable laundry items.
  • the manufacturers of detergent chemicals offer systems in which in a special plastic bag with the aid of a damp cloth, which is impregnated with a cleaning agent, in particular a surfactant, a moist, warm atmosphere is generated when drying in a tumble dryer.
