- the translation direction T of the second part 47 is advantageously substantially vertical.
- the third piece 49 ( Figures 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ) is movable between a first position, occupied at the beginning of holding period, in which the third piece 49 is braced on the first piece 45 and holds the first piece 45, and a second position, occupied at the end of the period retaining, in which the bracing of the third piece 49 ceases, releasing the first piece 45.
- the third piece 49 has roughness or reliefs to prevent significant slippage of the third piece 49 relative to the first piece 45 during the hold period.
- the third piece 49 is, in the example shown in the figures, a pawl intended to cooperate with the rack formed by the first piece 45.

- the damper 73 may be pneumatic.
- the shock absorber 73 ( Figures 3 , 5 , 6 , 7 ) has a first portion 75 secured to the frame of the door 7, for example fixed to the plate 53 of the support 43, and a second portion 77, movable, in contact with the pusher plate 69 during the holding period.
- the second part 77 is movable between a first position, occupied when the transmission system 31 is in the retaining position ( Figure 3 ), and a second position, occupied when the transmission system 31 is in the release position ( Figure 5 ).
- the second part 77 of the damper 73 has for example the shape of a piston comprising a head 79 directed downwards, on which the pusher plate 69 of the second piece 47 comes to exert a mechanical action F4 in the vertical direction V directed up during the holding period.
- the damper 73 is shaped so that the second portion 77 passes from its first position to its second position with a certain speed v, substantially independent of the intensity of the mechanical action F4 exerted on the second portion 77 of the shock absorber 73 by the second part 47 of the transmission system 31.
- the shock absorber 73 ( Figure 7 ) further comprises a mechanism (not shown), for example an internal spring, for passing the second portion 77 of the second position to the first position in the absence of the mechanical action F4 exerted by the transmission system 31 on the shock absorber 73.
- a mechanism for example an internal spring
- the delay member 29 comprises means for authorizing a displacement of the transmission system 31 at an adjustable speed v during the holding period.
- the damper 73 comprises a wheel 81 to increase or decrease the speed at which the second portion 77 of the damper 73 can move when the second part 47 of the transmission system 31 exerts on it the mechanical action F4.

- the installation comprises means for adjusting the position of the damper 73 relative to the frame of the door 7, so as to adjust the stroke of the second portion 77 of the damper 73.
- the damper 73 is fixed at a height h in the vertical direction V, defined for example as the distance between the wheel 81 of the damper 73 and the upper face of the door 11.
- the door 11, at rest, is in the closed position.
- the transmission system 31 is in the rest position, the second piece 47 being in its first (low) position, the third piece 49 pointing freely downwards.
- the pusher plate 69 rests on one of the bearings 55 for guiding the second piece 47.
- second part 77 of the shock absorber 73 under the action of the internal mechanism of the shock absorber 73, is in its first position. According to the adjustment of the height h of the shock absorber 73, the head 79 of the piston formed by the second portion 77 of the shock absorber 73 is in contact with the pusher plate 69, or at a distance above it according to the vertical direction V.
- An operator begins to open the door 11, which, after an initial phase comprising translational movements in the perpendicular directions P and vertical V, performs a translational movement in the lateral direction L, from left to right on the Figures 1 , 2 and 3 .
- the return member 27 exerts the restoring force F1 on the door 11 that the operator must overcome.
- the first part 45 of the transmission system 31, in the example a rack comes into contact with the third part 49 of the transmission system 31, in the example a needle-shaped pawl.
- the transmission system 31 moves from the rest position to the holding position.
- the third piece 49 tilts in the direction of the opening of the door 11, shown by an arrow 83, and snaps onto the first piece 45.
- the second piece 47 remains in its first (low) position.
- the second portion 77 of the damper 79 also remains in its first position.
- the door 11 arrives in the desired open position by the operator, represented on the Figures 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 .
- the operator stops acting on the door 11.
- the door 11 is then subjected to the restoring force F1 exerted by the return member 27 in the lateral direction L, tending to return the door 11 to the closed position.
- the door 11 would close instantly, which we want to avoid that the operator has time to cross the opening 3 of the wall 1.
- the door 11 then engages with the retaining assembly 13.
- the door 11 initiates a slight closing movement slightly rotating the third piece 49 about its axis of rotation ⁇ and mounting the second piece 47 in the direction of translation T, until the pusher plate 69 comes into contact with the second portion 77 of the damper 79.
- This engagement phase is even shorter than the distance between the head 79 of the second portion 77 of the damper 73 and the pusher plate 69 is reduced and that the clearances between the first piece 45 and the third piece 49, the third piece 49 and the second piece 47, and the internal clearances of the damper 73 are small.
- the door 11 When the door 11 is engaged with the retaining assembly 13, it is in the retaining position shown in FIG. Figure 3 .
- the door 11 is still substantially in the open position.
- the third piece 49 is then braced on the first piece 45 and forms an angle ⁇ with the vertical direction V.
- the third piece 49 exerts on the first piece 45, in projection on the lateral direction L, a retaining force F2 substantially opposite to the restoring force F1.
- the holding force F2 prevents the door 11 from returning to the closed position.
- the door 11 exerts, in projection on the lateral direction L, a reaction force F3 substantially opposite to the retaining force F2 and therefore substantially equal to the restoring force F1.
- reaction force F3 exerted by the door 11 on the third piece 49 is transmitted by the transmission system 31 to the delay member 29, in the form of the mechanical action F4 exerted upwards in the vertical direction V by the pusher plate 69 on the second portion 77 of the shock absorber 73.
- the delay member 29 then cooperates with the transmission system 31.
- the second piece 77 of the damper 73 progressively moves from its first (lower) position to its second (upper) position. ) at a certain speed v determined by the intensity adjustment of the damper 73.
- This passage determines the duration of the retention period of the door 11.
- the transmission system 31 progressively carries out a second displacement, of the holding position ( Figure 3 ) at the release position shown on the Figure 5 , the second displacement being braked by the shock absorber 73.
- the second piece 77 then reaches its second position (high) and the angle ⁇ is substantially zero.
- the bracing of the third piece 49 on the first piece 45 ceases, that is to say that the third piece 49 no longer exerts retention force F2 on the first piece 45 integral with the door 11.
- the Gate 11 thus begins to close under the action of the restoring force F1 exerted by the return member 27.
- the door 11 no longer exerts the reaction force F3 on the third piece 49.
- the second piece 47 of the system transmission 31 no longer exerts the mechanical action F4 on the shock absorber 73.
- the third piece 49 clicks on the first piece 45 without opposing the movement of the door 11.
- the second piece 47 no longer exerting the mechanical action F4 on the damper 73, the internal mechanism of the latter move the second portion 77 of the shock absorber 73 from its second position to its first position.
- the second piece 47 moves from its second position to its first position under the effect of the weight of the transmission system 31 and possibly pushed by the second part 77 of the damper 73 moving towards its first (low) position.
- the third piece 49 is no longer in contact with the first piece 45 and hangs.
- the transmission system 31 is then returned to the rest position.
- the second part 77 of the shock absorber 73 is then either already returned to its first position, or is in the process of returning to it.
- the retainer 13 is ready to retain the door 11 again.
- the relative position of the first piece 45 integral with the door 11 and the third piece 49, whose axis of rotation ⁇ is integral with the door frame 7, determines a range of opening positions. with restraint of the door.
- these parts 45, 49 are arranged for the door 11 is held in the open position as the door 11 is spaced at least about 40 to 50 cm from the closed position.
- the door 11 is retained substantially in the open position during the retention period without intervention of the operator.
- the operator after opening the door 11, does not need to hold it. It closes automatically after the hold period.
- the use of the door 11 is easier during the passage of the operator.
- the door opening 11 requires very little extra effort for the operator.
- the duration of the holding period, between opening and automatic closing, can be adjusted.
- the operator does not need to open the door 11 to the maximum to engage the door retainer 11. It is also possible to arrange the retainer 13 so that the door is retained only if it is removed more than a certain distance from the closed position, for example 40 to 50 cm.
- the retaining assembly 13 requires no external energy input other than that related to the reaction force F3 exerted by the door 11 on the transmission system 31.
- the duration of the holding period can be adjusted, as we have seen, in two different and complementary ways.
- the third piece 45 comprises a flexible blade projecting from the second piece 47 in the vertical direction V downwards, the blade having a distal end intended to cooperate with the first piece 45 and a proximal end extending substantially in the translation direction T of the second piece 47.
- the blade is flexible, so as to be able to click on the first piece 45.
- the blade is metallic.
- the blade assumes all functions.
- the blade is in particular movable between a retaining position where it is braced on the first part, and a release position, where it is substantially vertical.
- the first piece 45 is not a rack, but a strip having any reliefs 65 or a high coefficient of friction with the end 71 of the third piece 49, for example a rough strip or a strip of rubber mounted on the upper face of the door 11.
- the third piece 49 depending on its position, can be bend or slip on the band.

Sliding doors are commonly used, for example in the food industry, where they are often used in cold rooms, especially large rooms.
The effort of a user to open a cold room sliding door is quite high. Indeed, as the door must be sealed, it is usually equipped with special ramps, which move in three directions: laterally to ensure the main function of closing the passage, vertically to apply a lower seal to the ground on final approach, finally perpendicular to the plane of the sliding door to apply a peripheral seal against the frame on final approach. Such systems have the advantage of pressing the peripheral seal of the sliding door against the frame in a perfect manner.
Many sliding doors are manual opening and closing. For the opening, it is necessary to pull the sliding door out of the ramps and overcome the frictional force of the peripheral seal of the door on the frame. The initial effort to provide is important, for example on the first 150 millimeters. Also, sliding doors are often equipped with handles that multiply the effort at the beginning of the opening. Then, when the sliding door is in its sliding phase, the effort required is low and corresponds to the rolling force of the sliding door on the rail.
The sliding door must then be closed quickly, in order to minimize energy losses. For the operator, the action of closing the sliding door is a waste of time. To solve this problem, sliding doors with return system have been developed. For example, a tensioner and pulleys have been added, tending to return the sliding door to its closed position.
Unfortunately, such return systems compel the operator to hold the sliding door in the open position during its passage, which is inconvenient, especially when the operator carries a load.

The orientation terms used in this description are understood by reference to the usual orientation of a sliding door, illustrated in the figures by the lateral directions L, vertical V and perpendicular P orthogonal to each other. The lateral direction L therefore extends along the width of the sliding door, which is also the main direction of sliding of the sliding door. The perpendicular direction P is substantially perpendicular to the sliding door and extends according to the thickness of the door. The vertical direction V is defined as the direction orthogonal to the lateral direction L and the perpendicular direction P and corresponds to the elevation direction of the mounted sliding door.

The

The

By "return force" is meant in fact the resultant in the lateral direction L of the forces exerted by the
Alternatively, the

The operation of the installation will now be described below.
At a given moment, the
The
The reaction force F3 exerted by the
It is furthermore understood that if the height h of the
There are two ways to adjust the holding time: a first by changing the speed of movement v of the
At one point, the
It is furthermore understood that the relative position of the
With the retaining
The
The duration of the holding period, between opening and automatic closing, can be adjusted.
The operator does not need to open the
With the
According to a variant (not shown), the
Although structurally different from the needle described above, the blade assumes all functions. The blade is in particular movable between a retaining position where it is braced on the first part, and a release position, where it is substantially vertical.
According to another variant, the
