Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Behälter zur Aufnahme von Pflanzen, der am Geländer eines Balkons befestigt werden kann und der umgangssprachlich wie auch im Folgenden als Balkonkasten bezeichnet wird.
  • Balkonkästen sind seit Jahrzehnten im Handel erhältlich und dienen der Verzierung von Balkonen, mitunter werden in ihnen auch Küchenkräuter für den täglichen Bedarf angebaut. Um keinen Platz auf dem Balkon zu verschenken, werden die Balkonkästen üblicherweise auf der Außenseite der Balkonbrüstung befestigt. Wegen der Gefahr des Herabfallens, etwa während der Montage aufgrund von Ungeschicklichkeit, während Stürmen oder sonstigen problematischen Wetterlagen, oder aufgrund von Tieren wie Vögeln, Katzen, Mardern, Eichhörnchen und dergleichen, sind an diese Befestigungen hohe Sicherheitsanforderungen zu stellen.
  • Beispielsweise werden nach dem herkömmlichen Stand der Technik hierzu gewinkelte Blechstreifen mit Aussparungen verwendet, die miteinander verschraubt werden. Hierzu sei beispielhaft auf die Ausführungen der EP 0 518 193 B1 verwiesen. Hierzu werden je zwei derartige Halter eingesetzt, die einen Balkonblumenkasten, der meist aus Kunststoff gefertigt ist, tragen. Jeder der beiden Halter weist ein oberes Winkelblech auf, welches auf der einen Seite das Geländer auf der dem Balkon zugewandten Seite umschließt und auf der anderen, dem Balkon abgewandten Außenseite den Blumenkasten von oben festhält. Ferner weist er ein zweites unteres Winkelblech auf, welches den Blumenkasten von unten stützt. Ein drittes Winkelblech verlängert die unterseitige Unterstützung und fasst den Blumenkasten auf der ganzen Unterseite und umschließt ihn bis auf die Balkonaußenseite. Ein viertes Winkelblech kann so eingestellt werden, dass ein definierter Abstand zur Balkonbrüstung bewirkt wird. Jeder der beiden Halter weist drei lösbare Verbindungen auf. Pro Balkonkasten sind also sechs Schraubverbindungen erforderlich. Sofern die Montage sachgerecht durchgeführt wird, gilt diese Konstruktion als zwar aufwändig, aber sicher. Die Montagequalität kann aber nur schlecht nachgeprüft werden, sollten sich Schrauben aufgrund von Schwingungen lockern, etwa durch Windanströmung und die sich ergebenden typischen Karmanschen Wirbelstraßen, die auch für das Flattern von Fahnen verantwortlich sind, ist dies zunächst nicht erkennbar.
  • Im herkömmlichen Stand der Technik sind auch Drahtkörbe bekannt, die geeignet sind, Balkonkästen aufzunehmen. Diese haben üblicherweise fest verbundene gebogene Haken, mit denen sie am Balkongeländer eingehängt werden können. Auch Ausführungen mit eingelassenen Untersetzern sind im Handel erhältlich. Ein Beispiel dafür beschreibt die FR 2573 615 A1 , bei der ein Drahtgestell beschrieben wird, welches zur Aufnahme eines Blumenkastens geeignet ist.
  • JP 11 089441 A offenbart einen Pflanzenbehälter nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
  • Drahtkörbe dieser Art haben den Nachteil, dass sie beim Transport wegen ihrer herausragenden Befestigungshaken wesentlich mehr Raum beanspruchen als die oben beschriebenen zerlegbaren Halter, was ihre Wirtschaftlichkeit bei Transport und Handel nachteilig macht. Zerlegbare Drahtgestelle hätten aber generell den Nachteil, dass aufwändige Verbindungen gestaltet werden müssten, da einfache Schraubverbindungen nicht zum Verbinden von Drähten geeignet sind.
  • Üblicherweise werden die Balkonkästen von Frühjahr bis Herbst an den Geländern der Balkone angebracht. Je nach Bepflanzung müssen die Balkonkästen im Winter frostsicher untergestellt werden, etwa in Keller- oder Dachräumen, oder sie können im Winter auch am Balkon verbleiben. Wünschenswert wäre im Winter auch eine Unterbringung an den Fenstern von Wohnräumen, etwa auf einer Innenfensterbank, einer geschützten Außenfensterbank, oder, bei speziellen Mehrfachverglasungen, auch in den Zwischenräumen, oder auch in einem Wintergarten. Die üblichen Balkonkästen haben hier die unangenehme Eigenschaft, dass sie nur schwer im befüllten Zustand zu reinigen sind, ohne dass Reinigungsmittel an die Pflanzen gelangen. Außerdem sind die üblichen Balkonkästen an ihren Unterseiten offen, um Staunässe durch Regen zu verhindern. Würde man diese Blumenkästen so, wie sie sind, auf Fensterbänke stellen, liefe man Gefahr, dass beim Bewässern überschüssiges Wasser auslaufen könnte. Dadurch ergibt sich Bedarf an Untersätzen oder Übertöpfen, die zusätzlich vorzuhalten sind und während der Zeit der Nichtbenutzung Lagerraum beanspruchen.
  • Die Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, eine wirtschaftliche Lösung zu schaffen, die die oben beschriebenen Nachteile nicht mehr aufweist und eine ganzjährige Nutzung an verschiedenen Plätzen zuhause ermöglicht.
  • Die vorgenannte Aufgabe wird durch einen Pflanzenbehälter mit den Merkmalen von Patentanspruch 1 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.
  • In einer Ausführungsform ist vorgesehen, dass der Pflanzenbehälter einen rechteckigen Grundriss aufweist. Hierbei ist es vorteilhaft, wenn der obere offene Querschnitt größer ist als der untere geschlossene Querschnitt des Korbes. Hierdurch wird erreicht, dass die Körbe beim Transport gestapelt werden können und es ergibt sich eine sehr platzsparende und wirtschaftliche Art, den Balkonkasten zu Transportieren und in den Handel zu bringen.
  • In einer weiteren Ausführungsform ist vorgesehen, dass die beiden lösbaren Befestigungen, mit denen die Träger an dem Traggestell befestigt werden, als Schraubverbindungen ausgeführt werden, bei denen die Schrauben von außen durch die umspannende Außenhaut hindurch in die flächigen Verstärkungen geschraubt werden. Da die Schrauben im vertikalen Abschnitt angeordnet sind, wird den Sicherheitsanforderungen in besonderem Maße Rechnung getragen, ein selbständiges Lösen ist praktisch ausgeschlossen. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform weisen die flächigen Verstärkungen durchgehende Innengewinde auf, welches auf der Innenseite mit einer Kontermutter gegen selbsttätiges Losdrehen gesichert werden kann.
  • Das Traggestell kann alternativ aus einem Gestell fester Drähte gebildet werden, also einem reinen Stabgestell, oder aus einem Kunststoffkorb, der von Drähten gehalten wird, also aus einer Kombination von Stabgestell mit stützenden Flächenelementen. In beiden Fällen weist der Pflanzenbehälter noch eine zusätzliche äußere Bespannung auf.
  • Entsprechend ist in einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform vorgesehen, dass das Traggestell durch ein Stabgestell aus miteinander verbunden Stäben gebildet wird. Hierbei kann vorgesehen werden, dass die beiden Träger das Stabgestell an seiner Unterseite umschließen, so dass sich die beiden Träger einhaken.
  • In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform ist vorgesehen, dass der Pflanzenbehälter einen rechteckigen Grundriss aufweist. Hierzu kann bevorzugt vorgesehen werden, dass
    • das Stabgestell an seiner Unterseite zwei Längsstreben und fünf Querstreben aufweist,
    • an seiner Oberseite zwei übereinander angeordnete Umlaufstreben aufweist,
    • zwischen denen zumindest im Bereich der beiden Punkte, an denen die Träger lösbar mit dem Stabgestell verbunden sind, flächige Verstärkungen angebracht sind, die die beiden Umlaufstreben miteinander fest verbinden,
    • die fünf Querstreben Verlängerungen an den Seitenwänden hin zu den Umlaufstreben aufweisen,
    • wobei alle Kreuzungspunkte der Streben miteinander unlösbar und starr miteinander verbunden sind.
  • Unter den Begriffen Stabgestell und Streben sind hierbei stets starre Materialien zu verstehen, die runde oder rechteckige Querschnitte aufweisen. Als Materialien werden vorzugsweise Stahldrähte verwendet, die miteinander verschweißt und anschließend beschichtet werden. Möglich sind aber ebenso Stäbe und Streben aus Holz oder Bambus oder ähnlichen Werkstoffen mit geeigneten Verbindungsmitteln, wobei Kombinationen verschiedener Werkstoffe möglich sind.
  • In den so gestalteten Korb werden entweder handelsübliche, ggf. mit Bewässerungssystemen ausgestattete Balkonkästen eingesetzt oder es können auch Untersetzer mit einzelnen Blumentöpfen benutzt werden, wobei bei den Untersetzern darauf zu achten ist, dass sie sicher auf dem Stabgestell aufliegen. Natürlich können auch speziell an die Korbform angepasste Einsätze verwendet werden.
  • Als Bespannung sind vor allem Flechtwerke geeignet, die wasser- und luftdurchlässig sind, so dass sich keine Staunässe bildet. Derartige Bespannungen können auch leicht gereinigt werden, wenn sie im Laufe der Jahreszeiten ihren Aufstellungsort wechseln sollen.
  • Eine weitere Ausführungsform betrifft die Träger, die mit dem Abstandshalter verbunden sind Hierbei wird vorgesehen, die drehbaren Verbindungen vorzugsweise so auszuführen, dass sie jeweils um mindestens eine Vierteldrehung gedreht werden können und dass der Abstandshalter wannenförmig gebogen ist. Auf diese Weise können die beiden Abstandshalter so gestaltet werden, dass sie eine Einheit bilden, die zusammengelegt und beim Transport und im Handel in den Boden des Balkonkastens gelegt werden kann.
  • In einer weiteren Ausführungsform wird vorgesehen, dass
    • das Traggestell gebildet wird durch einen oben offenen und unten geschlossenen Kunststoffkorb,
    • der an seiner oberen Seite eine nach außen gewinkelte, horizontal ausgerichtete Umlaufkante aufweist, sowie
    • ferner einen unterhalb der horizontal ausgerichteten Umlaufkante anliegenden und diese Umlaufkante stützenden, geschlossenen Metallring,
    • und die mindestens zwei Punkte, an denen das Traggestell an den Trägern befestigt sind, an diesem Metallring angebracht sind.
  • In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform wird vorgesehen, dass die beiden Träger den unten geschlossenen Kunststoffkorb an der Unterseite abstützen.
  • Die Erfindung wird im Folgenden anhand einer Figur 1, die den Balkonkasten ohne Bespannung in einer Ausführungsform mit einem Drahtgestell als Traggestell zeigt, sowie den Figuren 2a und 2b, die die Halter zeigen, näher erläutert, wobei sich die Erfindung aber nicht auf diese Ausführungsform beschränkt. Figur 3 zeigt eine Ausführungsform mit einem Traggestell mit Metallring und Kunststoffkorb.
  • Figur 1 zeigt die obere Umlaufstrebe 1 sowie die darunter gelegene Umlaufstrebe 2. Im vorderen Bereich befindet sich zwischen den beiden Umlaufstreben das Verstärkungsblech 3 mit den Bohrungen 4a und 4b, die jeweils ein Innengewinde aufweisen. Daran sind die beiden Träger 5a und 5b mittels von außen einzudrehender Schrauben befestigt, wobei die beiden Träger jeweils eine Bohrung 6a bzw. 6b aufweisen, die in Figur 1 mit den Bohrungen 4a und 4b zusammenfallen. Beide Träger sind im oberen Bereich 7a und 7b jeweils umgebogen, so dass sie ein Balkongeländer umfassen können. Im unteren Bereich 8a und 8b sind beide in Gegenrichtung umgebogen, wobei der Radius der Biegung deutlich kleiner ist, so dass die untere Strebe 9a umfasst werden kann. Die unteren Streben 9b bis 9g bilden den Boden des Balkonkastens, sie sind verbunden mit den seitlichen Streben 10a bis 10j, wobei selbstverständlich auch noch weitere Streben vorgesehen werden können. Die Bespannung ist nicht gezeigt. Die beiden Träger 5a und 5b werden mit dem Abstandshalter 11 über die Verbindungen 12a und 12b verbunden, wobei die Verbindungen jeweils drehbar sind.
  • Figur 2a zeigt ein Trägersystem mit zwei Trägern 5a und 5b mit den Bohrungen 6a und 6b, den Biegungen im oberen Bereich 7a und 7b und denen im unteren Bereich 8a und 8b, weiterhin den Abstandshalter 11 mit den Verbindungen 12a und 12b. Figur 2b zeigt das gleiche System im zusammengeklappten Zustand. Es kann so zusammengeklappt beim Transport in den Boden des Balkonkastens gelegt werden, was einen Raum sparenden Transport ermöglicht.
  • Figur 3 zeigt einen Schnitt durch eine Ausführungsform mit einem Kunststoffkorb 13, der eine Umlaufkante 14 aufweist. Unterhalb dieser Umlaufkante 14 ist ein Metallring 15 angeordnet, der den ganzen Kunststoffkorb 13 umfasst. Der Metallring 15 ist mit flächigen Verstärkungen 16 versehen, die die Bohrungen 4 mit einem Innengewinde aufweisen. Durch die Aussparungen 6 des Trägers, der im Bereich 7 umgebogen ist und im Bereich 8 den Korbboden stützt, werden die Träger mit dem Metallring mittels Schraubverbindungen verbunden. Die Träger 7 bzw. 8 werden mit dem Abstandshalter 11 miteinander verbunden. Die Verbindung 12 zum Abstandshalter 11 kann außerdem zur Fixierung des Kunststoffkorbes 13 verwendet werden, was in Figur 3 nicht gezeigt ist. Die Bespannung 17 ist frei von Belastung und kann stabilisierende oder rein dekorative Wirkung entfalten.

Claims (11)

  1. Pflanzenbehälter, aufweisend
    - ein Traggestell, welches einen oben offenen Korb bildet,
    - eine das Traggestell umspannende Außenhaut (17),
    - zwei Träger (5a, 5b) mit je einer Biegung (7) oben zum Umschließen eines Balkongeländers,
    - wobei die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) im vertikalen Abschnitt miteinander an mindestens zwei Punkten (12) drehbar miteinander verbunden sind, und
    - einen Abstandshalter (11), der die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) miteinander verbindet,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    - dass die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) einen vertikal verlaufenden Abschnitt und einen unterseitigen Abschnitt (8) aufweisen, der geeignet ist, vertikal wirkende Kräfte aufzunehmen, und
    - dass die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) im vertikalen Abschnitt an mindestens zwei weiteren Punkten (6) mit dem Traggestell lösbar verbunden sind, und wobei die drehbare Verbindung der beiden Träger (5a, 5b) durch den Abstandshalter (11) derart erzielt wird, dass die Träger (5a, 5b) und der Abstandshalter (11) nach dem Lösen der Verbindung mit dem Traggestell zusammenklappbar sind.
  2. Pflanzenbehälter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Korb einen rechteckigen Grundriss aufweist.
  3. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der obere offene Querschnitt größer ist als der untere geschlossene Querschnitt des Korbes.
  4. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass lösbare Befestigungen, mit denen die Träger (5a, 5b) an dem Traggestell befestigt werden, als Schraubverbindungen ausgeführt werden, bei denen die Schrauben von außen durch die umspannende Außenhaut (17) hindurch in flächige Verstärkungen (3, 16) des Traggestells geschraubt werden.
  5. Pflanzenbehälter nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die flächigen Verstärkungen (3, 16) durchgehende Innengewinde aufweisen.
  6. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Traggestell durch ein Stabgestell aus miteinander verbundenen Stäben gebildet wird.
  7. Pflanzenbehälter nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) das Stabgestell an seiner Unterseite umschließen, so dass sich die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) einhaken.
  8. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 6 oder 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    - das Stabgestell an seiner Unterseite zwei Längsstreben (9a, 9c) und fünf Querstreben (9b, 9d, 9e, 9f, 9g) aufweist,
    - an seiner Oberseite zwei übereinander angeordnete Umlaufstreben (1, 2) aufweist,
    - zwischen denen zumindest im Bereich der beiden Punkte (4), an denen die Träger (5a, 5b) lösbar mit dem Stabgestell verbunden sind, flächige Verstärkungen (3) angebracht sind, die die beiden Umlaufstreben (1, 2) miteinander fest verbinden,
    - die fünf Querstreben (9b, 9d, 9e, 9f, 9g) Verlängerungen (10a-j) an den Seitenwänden hin zu den Umlaufstreben (1, 2) aufweisen,
    - wobei alle Kreuzungspunkte der Streben miteinander unlösbar und starr miteinander verbunden sind.
  9. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass bei den Trägern (5a, 5b), die mit dem Abstandshalter (11) verbunden sind, vorgesehen wird, die drehbaren Verbindungen (12) so auszuführen, dass sie jeweils um mindestens eine Vierteldrehung gedreht werden können und dass der Abstandshalter (11) wannenförmig gebogen ist.
  10. Pflanzenbehälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    - das Traggestell gebildet wird durch einen oben offenen und unten geschlossenen Kunststoffkorb (13),
    - der an seiner oberen Seite eine nach außen gewinkelte, horizontal ausgerichtete Umlaufkante (14) aufweist, sowie
    - ferner einen unterhalb der horizontal ausgerichteten Umlaufkante (14) anliegenden und diese Umlaufkante stützenden, geschlossenen Metallring (15),
    - und die mindestens zwei Punkte (4), an denen das Traggestell an den Trägern (5a, 5b) befestigt sind, an diesem Metallring (15) angebracht sind.
  11. Pflanzenbehälter nach Anspruch 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Träger (5a, 5b) den unten geschlossenen Kunststoffkorb (13) an der Unterseite abstützen (8).
