Description

The invention relates to an ammunition or training ammunition, in particular a firing from small arms exercise ammunition in preferably medium caliber, with a bullet casing having projectile body. This contains a charge which is preferably exploitable in the air and / or active charge.

Handguns capable of launching medium caliber practice ammunition are, for example, bazookas or rifles with corresponding ancillary equipment for firing such ammunition. Alternatives are, for example, 40 mm grenade launcher.

In the case of ammunition exploding in the air (usually also referred to as air burst ammunition or ABM), the projectile body is already dismantled before the target so that a cloud of splinters or submunitions is generated in the region of the respective airborne explosive point. For practice purposes, the ammunition is replaced by ammunition, in which a charge for generating a lightning and possibly also a blast is ignited to mark the air blasting point. However, when using known training ammunition for the shooter the air spike is only briefly and often relatively indistinctly visible.

The invention has for its object and object to provide in particular a training ammunition of the type mentioned, in which a mark the Luftsprengpunktes or, if desired, a mark of a point of impact of the projectile body on a target, over a longer period of time compared to known practice ammunition is clearly visible ,

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further, particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention disclose the dependent claims.

The invention is based essentially on the idea to use a preferably colored marker for marking the air blasting point. This should then preferably can sink slowly to the ground and / or be longer visible on the impact point.

Marking cartridges are already known for example from the EP 1 735 582 B1 that mark the point of impact. Another patronized training ammunition with marking task is the DE 10 2004 017 464 A1 removable. After the impact of such ammunition, a marking mixture is released which, for example, produces a fog in the visible or non-visible region, causes a color marking or creates a thermal image at the point of impact ( WO 2011/011217 A1 . WO 2011/019695 A1 ). The DE 10 2007 034 546 A1 deals with a target ammunition whose container located in the Ogivenbereich includes a marker. In order for the marker to escape after impact of the ammunition, overpressure is generated, for example by a gas cartridge with trigger mechanism. Another ammo for color marking describes the EP 0 890 819 A , These are various marker mixtures removable. From the DE 30 31 369 C3 In addition, a projectile body is known which has a charge exploding in the air.

In order to realize a marking in the air, the projectile casing of the projectile body comprises a centrally arranged cylindrical block with a central cargo space containing a charge. The cylindrical block has at least one pressure relief bore extending radially from the charge space to the outer periphery of the block, but preferably a plurality. These are arranged distributed uniformly over the circumference and extend radially outward. The outer periphery of the cylindrical block is preferably annularly surrounded by a container with a marker. Upon ignition of the charge, the gas pressure acting on the marker container via the relief bore breaks it apart, as well as the projectile envelope which adjoins the marker container on the outside. As a result, the marker is discharged from the projectile body. The container can also be seen by several circumferentially in the longitudinal direction of the block as opposed to each other or stacked sub-containers, which can then also contain different markers.

Preferably, the charge of the ammunition is chosen such that in addition to the application of the marker upon reaching the Lufttsprengpunktes a bang and / or a flash can be generated. Thus, a visual, as well as acoustic signature of the air blasting point is created especially for shoulder-level weapons in Airburst.

However, it should be a material or a plastic, which is not destroyed in the explosion of the charge itself, so that the marker defined from the projectile body can be applied. In order to achieve a homogeneous spreading of the marking substance, it may also be advantageous if the outer shell of the marking material container facing the projectile casing, and possibly also the projectile casing, is provided with predetermined breaking points.

Thus, to achieve that the marking of an air strike point-or if desired, a point of impact of the projectile body on a target over a longer period is clearly visible, a marker is used to mark the air strike point or the impact point, which has a centrally arranged cylindrical block contains a charge. For this purpose, the cylindrical block has at least one pressure relief bore extending radially from the charge space to the outer circumference of the cylindrical block. After the charge has been ignited, a gas pressure acts via the pressure relief bore (s) on the marker container, as a result of which the projectile envelope which adjoins the marker container on the outside is disassembled and the marker can thereby be brought out of the projectile body. The amount of ausbringbaren marker is on the one hand adjustable or influenced by the cross section of the pressure relief holes. On the other hand, the amount of the marker also affects the duration.

Die der Geschosshülle 3 zugewandte Außenwand 11 des Markierstoff-Behälters 9 ist zudem bevorzugt mit sich in Richtung der Längsachse 100 der Munition 1 erstreckenden Sollbruchstellen versehen (nicht weiter dargestellt).Further details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following, explained with reference to a figure embodiment. In the figure, the longitudinal section of an inventive (training) ammunition 1 is shown schematically, which is, for example, a shootable from a grenade 40 mm (practice) grenade. The ammunition 1 comprises a projectile body 2 with projectile casing 3, which are indicated by dashed lines. The projectile casing 3 further comprises a centrally arranged cylindrical block 4 of preferably plastic. This includes a one charge 5 The charge 6 can be a bang-flash charge. The charge 5 is ignited via a channel 7 by a primer, not shown. In addition, the cylindrical block 4 has one, but preferably a plurality of evenly distributed over the circumference distributed, extending from the charge space 6 radially outwardly extending pressure relief holes 8. The outer circumference of the cylindrical block 4 is annularly surrounded by a container 9 preferably made of plastic, which contains a marker 10. The projectile casing 3 facing outer wall 11 of the marker container 9 is also preferably provided with in the direction of the longitudinal axis 100 of the ammunition 1 extending predetermined breaking points (not shown).

Before or during the launching of the training ammunition 1, a time fuse (not shown) arranged in the ammunition 1 on the bottom side is programmed such that the charge 5 is already ignited in the air, ie (far) before the projectile body 2 strikes a target. The resulting pressure in the pressure relief holes 8 ensures that the marker container 9 (in the air) breaks and the projectile casing 3 ruptures. As a result, the marker 10 is thrown outward and the air snap point for the shooter not shown clearly visible. At the same time, the corresponding contactor can perceive a light signal (lightning) caused by the charge 5 and shortly thereafter an acoustic signal (bang) if the charge 5 contains these active agents. If predetermined breaking points are involved, the breakage of the container 9 and / or the projectile casing 3 takes place along the predetermined breaking points. If, on the other hand, the point of impact of the ammunition 1 is to be marked longer and also visible for a longer time, it is provided that the ignition of the charge 5 takes place shortly before impact. The functionality is then as described.

Not shown in detail but easily conceivable is the possibility to arrange several containers in the direction of the longitudinal axis 100 seen circumferentially. These can then contain different markers (colors etc.). It must be ensured that the respective container interacts with at least one of the pressure relief bores 8.

Of course, the invention is of course not limited to the embodiment described above. For example, the training ammunition can be ammunition made from other weapons instead of grenade launcher ammunition.
