Claims (12)

  1. A device for blocking a standing stack (2) of flat printed products such as journals, magazines or brochures (3), with an electrically grounded conveyor belt (4) that transports the stack (2) into and away from an idle position, with frontal stops (5 a, b) that can be opened and closed in a cyclic fashion, with lateral adjustable stops (6 a, b), and with an upper press plate (7) that can be vertically lowered onto the stack (2) and features at least one electrically conductive plate electrode (8) that contacts the stack (2) and can be acted upon with an electric voltage in order to electrostatically charge the stack (2), characterized in that the press plate (7) is formed exclusively by the at least one plate electrode (8), and in that the at least one plate electrode (8) is completely surrounded at least laterally by an electrically insulating shielding frame (9) at least in its upper end position.
  2. The device according to Claim 1, characterized by an air gap (10) between the plate electrode (8) and the shielding frame (9).
  3. The device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the shielding frame (9) is respectively guided on the press plate (7) or the at least one plate electrode (8) in a vertically displaceable fashion, wherein the shielding frame (9) protrudes downward relative to the plate electrode (8) when the press plate (7) is lifted off the stack.

The device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the conveyor belt (4) features at least two highly conductive and grounded conveying belts (12 a, b) that form an intermediate space between one another, and in that at least one conveying belt (13 a) of a feed conveyor (13) overlaps the rear deflection of the conveyor belt (4) in the intermediate space.
  9. The device according to Claim 8, characterized in that a frontal stop (5 c) is provided in the intermediate space and can be moved up and down on the bottom side.
  10. The device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the at least one plate electrode (8) can be acted upon with an electric voltage that is respectively defined in accordance with the lowering depth or the stack height (H) before it is placed onto the stack (2).
