- A buffer for a railway vehicle, wherein the buffer (10) is provided with an axially displaceable buffer plunger (12) and with a buffer plate (15) attached to the latter that, with its abutting surface (17), can be brought into pressing contact with the abutting surface of a buffer plate of a couplable railway vehicle, a device (20) for the metered lubrication of the respective abutting surface (17) being assigned to the buffer (10), which respectively has at least one lubricant dispenser (25), characterised in that the respective lubricant dispenser (25) is accommodated in a protective housing (31) fastened to the outside of the buffer plunger (12) and has at least one connection line (21) through which the lubricant (23) can be conveyed to the abutting surface (17).
- The buffer according to Claim 1, characterised in that at least one transverse passage opening (22) connected to the connection line (21) is provided in the buffer plate (17).
- The buffer according to Claim 2, characterised in that the transverse passage opening (21) is disposed in the upper region of the buffer plate (15).
- The buffer according to Claim 1, characterised in that a connection line leading to the upper side of the buffer plate is provided, through which the lubricant passes to this abutting surface.
- The buffer according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the protective housing (31) is disposed on the upper side of the buffer plunger (12) behind the buffer plate (12) and, as considered in cross section, is adapted to the rounding of the buffer plunger (12) with its lower contact surface (31').
- A coupling for a railway vehicle that has an abutting surface (47) which, upon coupling, comes into contact with an abutting surface of a coupling of a railway vehicle to be connected, characterised in that
there is a device (45) for the metered lubrication of the respective abutting surface (47) that respectively has at least one lubricant dispenser (25), which is accommodated in a protective housing (45') fastened to the outside of a coupling rod (49) and has at least one connection line (42) through which the lubricant (23) can be conveyed to the abutting surface (47).
