  • Adjustment in an extended position takes place by means of rotation, in this case 180°, of the first mounting element 20 in relation to the second mounting element 10, at maximal extension if the cross-section of the telescopic elements for example are quadratic or rectangular, so that they are disengaged and only are limited in their motion by means of screw 30.
  • mounting elements 10 and 20 respectively are possible, such as triangular, circular with guiding grooves at the inner surface of the mounting element intended to be the outermost and at the outer surface of the mounting element intended to be the innermost element etc.
  • Pin 11 which is arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal extension of element 10 and 20 respecitvely at the end of element 20 which is located at the largest distance from element 10 in an extended position, is intended to be introduced into a pre-bored hole in for example a window with a fixed frame (a visible hole at the inside of the frame) during a mounting/demounting operation or during adjustment.
  • tool 100 is simply released when, by means of screw 30, the distance between wall counterstay and frame holding device has been somewhat increased, since pin 11 is releasably introduced from the inside.
  • the window embrasure depth can be adjusted by means of screw 30 and counterstay element 21 (or 22) prevents the window from falling out.
  • Fig. 2 shows an alternative embodiment of a mounting tool 200 which comprises a first mounting element 20A, a second mounting element 10A, a first wall counterstay 21A, a second wall counterstay 22A and an adjustment screw 30A with actuating, or gripping, means 35 similar to the embodiment of Fig. 1.
  • the frame holding device 11A comprises a pin or a round bar with a circular cross section which either protrudes perpendicularly at one side of the second mounting element 10A or at both sides (shown) .
  • wall counterstay 21A or 22A cooperates directly with the frame and the wall.
  • 1 wall counterstay 21A and/or 22A can be provided with a step, such as for example in the form of a partial S, or with an appropriately angled and formed step, in order to grip the inner side of the frame with its inner end and bear against the inner side of the wall by means of its outer end.
  • the inner side of the frame here means the side which, when a mounting object is mounted, is parallel with the inside surface of the wall, and the inside of the frame here refers to the sides of the frame which are directed towards one another, perpendicular to the inner side of the frame and closest for example to the window pane.
  • Different embodiments are possible and the length may be between 8-10 and 20 cm or more.
  • the pin can protrude in one direction or in two directions, with the advantage that if the pin protrudes in two directions, the tool may simply be rotated 180° and no coarse adjustment needs to be done if instead of the wall counterstay 21A, 22A, or vice versa, needs to be used depending on the wall thickness.
  • a wall counterstay may, for example as shown in Fig. 2, of course be provided with holes for screwing on by means of screws as an additional means for keeping the device in place, but this is in no way necessary for the functioning of the invention and is normally not used; a purpose with the invention is particularly to eliminate the need to use screws in the wall, in the frame etc.
  • Fig. 3 shows an alternative, simplified mounting tool 300 with a first mounting element 20B, a second mounting element 10B, and an adjustment device 30B with actuating, or gripping means 35B as in Figs 1 and 2.
  • Frame counterstay 12B thus forms part of the device as in Fig. 1, but it could also be excluded as for example shown in Fig. 2.
  • Wall counterstay 21B is here provided with a step but it could also be straight or have some other shape.
  • the pin (and an optional frame counterstay) only protrudes in one direction, but there are two wall counterstays enabling a coarse adjustment.
  • Fig. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of a mounting tool 400 with a first mounting element 20C, a second mounting element IOC with an adjustment device 31C and actuating or gripping means 35C as in Figs. 1-3. Also in this embodiment are shown a first wall counterstay 21C and a second wall counterstay 22C which is arranged at an angle of 180° in relation to said first wall counterstay 21C. Even if the first wall counterstay is shown as being of a shape with a step intended to take the frame width and/or frame thickness into account, the first wall counterstay could have the same shape as the second wall counterstay, i.e. straight. Conversely, the second wall counterstay could be step- formed as the first wall counterstay or it could have some other appropriate form.
  • the shown embodiment is also not limited to two wall counterstays but there could also be one or three. What differs in this embodiment is that the frame holding device 11C in this case is made of two parts, in certain embodiments adapted to the frame, and arranged to cooperate with the inside, the inner side of the frame and the outer side and a part of the outside.
  • Fig. 5 shows in a more detailed manner the frame holding device llC as described above according to this preferred embodiment.
  • the frame holding device 11C comprises a first part 111 which comprises a flat, thin element intended to bear against the outer side of the frame and which is fixedly mounted at the outer end of the second mounting element 10 as a flat, extended prolongation thereof, for example at one side.

  • the second frame holding part 112 is adapted to the shape and the dimensions of the respective frame and the only requirement is that it should be possible to mount, for example on mounting screw 114, by means of its securing element 13.
  • Fig. 6 shows an embodiment of a mounting tool, for example according to Fig. 1, which is arranged to hold a mounting object in a frame 40 at a wall during a mounting, demounting or adjustment operation.
  • a wedge 41 can be introduced between frame 40 and frame counterstay 12 in some embodiments but this is not necessary, though. With an introduced wedge 41 the mounting tool 100 will preferably be held substantially perpendicular to the frame 40. The need for introduction of a wedge among other things depends on the distance between the frame counterstay 12 and pin 11. The wedge can have different sizes and be made of different materials.
  • the window is a so called fixed frame window with pre-bored frame holes.
  • the invention may of course also include the boring of holes in the frame in order to be able to use the mounting tool.

  • a coarse pre-adjustment operation is implemented as discussed above, i.e. it is determined which of the wall counterstays that should be used, if the tool is provided with alternative, optinal wall counterstays. This can also be done before arranging the mounting tools in the frame holes.
  • the arranging in the holes consists in that the pin or the round iron bar of circular cross section is introduced into the hole.
  • the window is thereupon lifted up and located, and through screwing on/screwing off the adjustment screw using the actuating means, the tool can be adjusted depending on the embrasure depth. Since the wall counterstays bear against the inner side of the wall surrounding the window, the window is prevented from falling out towards the outside. At this stage (or earlier) it is possible to open the window slightly in order to further reduce the risk of the window falling out of the opening towards the inside, but this is not always necessary. Thereafter the window is fastened by means of screws in a conventional manner through the lower frame holes. When the window is sufficiently fixed, the tools are removed and the window can be fastened by means of screws also through the upper, for example pre-bored, frame holes.
  • the mounting tool can of course also be used for adjusting purposes in which case screws on opposite sides can be unscrewed, the mounting tool can be introduced and adjustment can take place through the other frame holes, upper or lower.
  • small-size wedges can in an easy manner be introduced between the frame and the frame counterstay, in other respects the method corresponds to the method described above. Since, for securely keeping the mounting object in place, no boring is required, neither in the frame nor in the wall, mounting/demounting can take place independently of the wall material, concrete walls as well as wooden walls. For windows without pre-bored holes, a mounting tool as described in Fig. 4 may with advantage be used.
  • the frame holding devices may be adjustable to either fit different frame dimensions and/or be adjustable by means of an adjustment device in order to be adapted to different frame dimensions. Then the first frame holding part is brought into the intended position, the window is slightly opened, the second frame holding part is attached by screwing on. After that the procedure is the same as that described above. Alternatively holes may be bored in the frame in order to enable use of a mounting tool with a pin.
  • Materials used for making the tool can be selected in an appropriate manner.
  • conventional structural steel or iron is used. It may for example be coated with zink or hot galvanized. In an advantageous embodiment it is powder varnished.
