  • Fig. 1 zeigt eine Konfiguration einer Kombifalzmaschine 10, welche als Ausgangspunkt für die vorliegende Erfindung dient. Die Kombifalzmaschine ist mit mehreren Taschenfalzwerken und drei Schwertfalzwerken ausgestattet, wobei zwischen dem ersten Schwertfalzwerk und dem zweiten Schwertfalzwerk eine Falztasche oder alternativ eine Transportvorrichtung angebracht sein kann. Ein zweites und drittes Schwertfalzwerk befinden sich in Bogendurchlaufrichtung links.
  • Fig. 2 zeigt einen Ausschnitt aus einer Falzmaschine 10 nach dem Stand der Technik. Die dargestellte Falzmaschine 10 besitzt einen ersten Kreuzbruch 1 (auch als erstes Schwertfalzwerk bezeichnet) sowie einen zweiten Kreuzbruch 4 (auch als zweites Schwertfalzwerk bezeichnet). In Transportrichtung gesehen dazwischen angeordnet ist eine Falztasche 3. Ein Bogen B1 wird im ersten Kreuzbruch 1 vom Schwert des ersten Kreuzbruchs 1.1 gefalzt, indem der Bogen B1 zwischen zwei Falzwalzen 1.4 gepresst wird und dort einen Falzbruch erfährt. Von einer Transportwalze 2.1 und einem Umlenkblech 2.2 wird der Bogen weiter in eine Falztasche 3 transportiert. Die Falztasche 3 befindet sich in einem Falztascheneinschub 6 und besitzt einen oberen Rahmen 3.1 und einen unteren Rahmen 3.2, zwischen welchen der Bogen B3 geführt wird. Zum Einstellen der Falzlänge besitzt die Falztasche 3 einen verstellbaren Anschlag 3.3. Durch die Falzwalzen 3.4 wird im Bogen B3 ein Falzbruch erzeugt und die Signatur über ein Umlenkblech 2.2 und das Transportband 4.3 des zweiten Kreuzbruchs 4 weiter transportiert. Soll die Signatur keinen weiteren Falzbruch erfahren, so wird das Schwert des zweiten Kreuzbruchs 4.1 stillgesetzt und der Bogen BL nach links ausgeleitet. Soll die Signatur durch das Schwert des zweiten Kreuzbruchs 4.1 eine weitere Falzung erfahren, so wird das Schwert 4.1 betätigt und der Bogen B4 zwischen den Falzwalzen 4.4 hindurch weiter transportiert und beispielsweise einem Ausleger oder einer nachfolgenden dritten Kreuzbruchstation zugeführt.

Sollen nun im ersten Kreuzbruch 1 gefalzte Bogen B 1 nachfolgend direkt ausgelegt oder weiter transportiert werden, und nicht den zweiten Kreuzbruch 4 durchlaufen, so wird eine sich in Position 5.3 befindliche Bogenweiche so geschaltet, dass die gefalzten Bogen B1 in die Transportvorrichtung 5 einlaufen. Ihre Transportrichtung T ist dabei durch den oberen Rahmen und den unteren Rahmen 5.1, 5.2 vorgegeben, welche als Leitflächen fungieren.
