In einer weiteren vorteilhaften Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird auch im Auslegerbereich eine Ansteuereinrichtung angebracht. Die steuerbaren Mitnehmer gewährleisten eine vom Format, d. h. von der Rückenlänge des Produktes abhängige, exakte Positionierung des Produkts zur Auslegermitte durch einen veränderbaren Zeitpunkt, zu welchem der Kontakt des Mitnehmerelements mit dem Schenkel des Falzbogens aufgehoben wird. Damit das sich in Förderrichtung a rechts an der Sammelkette 20 befindliche Mitnehmerelement 24 (in Fig. 1 nicht bezeichnet), welches die gesammelten Falzbogen an der Aufspendeeinrichtung 9 entlang transportiert, nicht mit der Aufspendeeinrichtung 9 kollidiert, muss selbiges Mitnehmerelement 24 (in Fig. 1 nicht bezeichnet) vorher eingeklappt werden.
