Description

The invention relates to an electrical contact coupling for a track-guided vehicle, in particular rail vehicle, according to the preamble of independent claim 1.

Die Druckschrift US 1,790,292 A betrifft eine Elektrokontaktkupplung, welche ein Kupplungsgehäuse mit einer Gehäuseöffnung sowie eine an dem Kupplungsgehäuse angelenkte Schutzklappe aufweist. The publication US 1,790,292 A relates to an electrical contact coupling, which has a coupling housing with a housing opening and a hinged to the coupling housing protective flap.

In rail vehicle technology for the transmission of control signals and power transmission between two adjacent car bodies of a multi-unit vehicle usually electrical contact couplings are used. The arrangement, control and size of the electrical contact couplings used are dependent on the available space in the vehicle and on the number of signals to be transmitted and the requirements of the wagon farmer or the railway operator.

In general, electrical contact couplings are designed such that the coupling and uncoupling of two electrical contact couplings can be done automatically. In this case, arranged on the vehicles or car bodies to be coupled with each other electrical contact couplings are precisely brought together by means of centering and then pressed together with trained on the front side of the electrical contact couplings sealing surfaces so that a reliable seal against the environment is achieved. In the uncoupled state covers a protection Flap the front of the electrical contact coupling to protect the coupling elements or possibly under voltage contact elements of the electrical contact coupling against contact and contamination.

From the publication DE 938 915 A For example, an electrical contact coupling for rail vehicles for coupling electrical lines and signal lines is known. This electrical contact coupling has a housing to be fastened to a car body of a rail vehicle coupling housing, which is intended for receiving coupling elements or contacts and has on its front side a coupling opening. The coupling opening can be closed by a protective flap mounted pivotably between a closed position and an open position on the housing.

Specifically, in the solution known from this prior art, a relatively complicated mechanism consisting of a plurality of articulated arms and pivot points is used to pivot the protective flap relative to the coupling housing can.

In order to simplify the mechanism used for pivoting the protective flap, it is basically conceivable to connect the protective flap to the coupling housing via hinges in such a manner that the protective flap can be pivoted about a fixed axis of rotation. However, the use of hinged hinges for pivoting the protective flap has the disadvantage that in the closed position of the protective flap complete contact of the flap contour on the sealing surface of the coupling housing or on the sealing surface of the coupling housing belonging to the front frame and thus an effective seal usually not is possible. The main problem is the lateral sealing gaps between the protective flap and the coupling housing. By in the closed position of the protective flap laterally existing cracks dust, especially metallic dust, and moisture can penetrate, which can lead to a reduction of the surface resistance. On the other hand, abrasive dirt particles can penetrate, causing increased wear of the electrical contacts.

If additional seals are used to seal in the closed position of the protective flap, the lateral sealing gaps between the protective flap and the clutch housing, can not prevent friction occurs when opening and closing the damper on the lateral sealing elements, resulting in increased wear of the lateral sealing elements leads.

The invention has for its object to provide an electrical contact coupling, the protective flap by means of a simple mechanism relative to the coupling housing is pivotable, yet a higher density against dust and moisture can be achieved, so as to reduce maintenance and also the use of coupling elements for optical data transmission.

This object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent claim 1.

Accordingly, the electrical contact coupling has a coupling housing with a housing opening formed in a housing end face and a housing opening surrounding at least partially seal. Furthermore, a protective flap is provided which is articulated on the coupling housing such that the protective flap is pivotable relative to the coupling housing about a fixed axis of rotation from a first position in which the housing opening is covered to a second position in which the housing opening is exposed , According to the invention, the seal has a substantially parallel to the axis of rotation extending upper sealing area and a substantially parallel to the axis of rotation extending lower sealing area. The protective flap has a contact area, which is in contact with the seal for sealing the coupling housing in the first position of the protective flap. The portion of the contact region of the protective flap, which contacts the upper sealing region in the first position of the protective flap, is designed as a sealing surface aligned essentially perpendicular to the housing end face. The portion of the contact region of the protective flap, which contacts the lower sealing region in the first position of the protective flap, is, on the other hand, designed as a sealing surface aligned essentially parallel to the housing end face.

In a preferred embodiment of the solution according to the invention, the seal also has a lateral sealing region which connects the upper sealing region to the lower sealing region, wherein the portion of the contact region of the protective flap, which in the first position of the protective flap contacts the lateral sealing region, forms a three-dimensional sealing surface is. The contact area section of the protective flap which is assigned to the lateral sealing area and designed as a three-dimensional sealing area essentially connects the contact area section aligned perpendicular to the housing end face sealing surface in a continuous manner with the aligned substantially parallel to the housing end face sealing surface.

In this context, it is particularly conceivable to carry out the seal as a circumferential seal, which therefore has, in addition to the upper and lower sealing region, two lateral sealing regions which are mirror-symmetrical to each other and each connect the upper sealing region to the lower sealing region. In order to enable optimum sealing of the lateral sealing gaps in the closed state of the protective flap, it is provided that each section of the contact region of the protective flap, which contacts one of the two lateral sealing regions in the first position of the protective flap, is designed as a three-dimensional sealing surface, which essentially encloses aligned perpendicular to the housing end face sealing surface in a continuous manner with the aligned substantially parallel to the housing end face sealing surface.

The achievable with the inventive solution advantages are obvious. Since the protective flap is pivotable relative to the coupling housing about a fixed axis of rotation, can be dispensed with a complex mechanism for pivoting the protective flap. Rather, the protective flap can be connected to the coupling housing via a hinged hinge. The fact that no more expensive joint structures, such as four joints, etc., must be used for pivoting the protective flap, the electrical contact coupling can be made overall simpler and thus cheaper and more compact.

On the other hand, in the solution according to the invention, it is provided that the protective flap has a contact region which is in contact with the seal connected to the housing end face or the housing front frame for sealing the coupling housing in the first position of the protective flap. In this case, the contact region of the protective flap, ie the region of the protective flap which is in contact with the gasket for sealing the coupling housing in the first (closed) position of the protective flap, is constructed from a plurality of tangentially merging regions. In detail, the portion of the contact region which contacts the upper sealing region of the seal in the first position of the protective flap is designed as a sealing surface oriented essentially perpendicular to the housing end face. In other words, in the closed state of the electrical contact coupling contacted the upper sealing region associated portion of the contact area, the seal from above.

The portion of the contact area which contacts the lower sealing area in the first position of the protective flap, on the other hand, is designed as a sealing surface aligned essentially parallel to the housing end face, so that in the closed state of the electrical contact coupling of the portion of the contact area assigned to the lower sealing area, the seal contacts from the front.

In order to effectively seal the lateral sealing gap between the upper and lower sealing region in the closed state of the electrical contact coupling, the invention provides that the seal further comprises a lateral sealing region which connects the upper sealing region with the lower sealing region. The contact region of the protective flap has a corresponding section assigned to the lateral sealing region, which in the first position of the protective flap contacts this lateral sealing region. In order to prevent the opening of the electrical contact coupling, i. when the protective flap is transferred from its first (closed) position to its second (opened) position rubbing the portion of the contact region associated with the lateral sealing region on the lateral sealing region, it is provided according to the invention that the portion of the contact region assigned to the lateral sealing region serves as a three-dimensional sealing surface is formed, which connects the substantially perpendicular to the housing face aligned sealing surface in a continuous manner with the aligned substantially parallel to the housing end face sealing surface.

The three-dimensional sealing surface is designed so that it touches the lateral sealing area of the seal in all areas until the end of the flap closing movement, preferably only on the last 5 degrees of the flap closing movement and thus causes only minimal friction.

As already indicated, the portion of the contact region assigned to the lateral sealing region is designed as a three-dimensional sealing surface which connects in a continuous manner the sealing surface aligned essentially perpendicular to the housing front side with the sealing surface aligned essentially parallel to the housing end face. Accordingly, the trained as a three-dimensional sealing surface Section of the contact area in the vicinity of the upper sealing region associated sealing surface formed so that there the lateral sealing area is contacted radially from the outside. On the other hand, the portion of the contact area formed as a three-dimensional sealing surface in the vicinity of the lower sealing area is designed such that the lateral sealing area is contacted from the front there.

It should be noted at this point that the directional terms "top" and "bottom" used herein are independent of the location of the electrical contact coupling. The directions are based on the position of the protective flap in its open state. Regardless of the orientation of the electrical contact coupling, the term "top" herein shall indicate the direction in which the protective flap is pivoted relative to the clutch housing during the opening process. The term "below" is used for the corresponding opposite direction indication. Furthermore, the term "from the front" as used herein means the direction opposite to the direction of coupling.

In order to achieve complete sealing of the electrical contact coupling in its closed state, the seal is preferably designed as a circumferential seal which completely surrounds the housing opening formed in the housing end face. It is conceivable here to form the peripheral seal as a round seal formed from an elastomer material, which is thus designed so that it can be loaded both axially (from the front) and radially (from the outside).

The electrical contact coupling 100 shown in the drawings as an exemplary embodiment is designed to be attached to a track-guided vehicle, in particular rail vehicle such that the housing end face A of the electrical contact coupling 100 in the coupling direction L of the vehicle and is in the coupling plane M or in the coupling plane M can be brought , The electrical contact coupling 100 serves, in conjunction with a complementarily formed electrical contact coupling 100 '(see Fig. 6 ) a connection between electrical lines and / or Signal lines between two adjacent vehicles, especially rail vehicles manufacture.

As the exploded view in Fig. 1 can be removed, the electrical contact coupling 100 according to the illustrated embodiment, a trapezoidal coupling housing 1, at the bottom or base 10 ( Fig. 6 ), not shown, guide bushes can be arranged with which the clutch housing 1 is slidably mounted on guide rods also not shown on a vehicle, in particular rail vehicle, in the coupling direction L. In this way, it is possible to bring the housing end face A of the electrical contact coupling 100 only in the coupling plane M, for example, when the mechanical coupling of the adjacent vehicles is completed. Thus, it can be avoided that the electrical contact coupling is damaged when approaching the vehicles to be coupled.

Furthermore, it is conceivable that on the clutch housing 1 Zentrierorgane, for example in the form of centering and correspondingly complementary formed centering, are provided in order to achieve an alignment of the vehicles to be coupled to be coupled with electrical contact couplings 100, 100 'when approaching the vehicles to be connected.

As the presentation in Fig. 1 can be removed, the clutch housing 1 of the illustrated embodiment has a substantially cuboid interior, in which the coupling elements or contacts of the electrical contact coupling are receivable. In the facing in the coupling direction L housing end face A of the clutch housing 1, a housing opening 2 is formed.

In the illustrated embodiment of the electrical contact coupling 100 according to the invention, this housing opening 2 is completely surrounded by a seal 3. As it is in Fig. 1 is shown, the seal 3 has a shape adapted to the outer contour of the coupling housing 1 shape, so that the seal 3 is designed to be substantially trapezoidal overall. The seal 3 is releasably secured to a not explicitly shown housing front frame of the housing 1. For this purpose, it is conceivable that the seal 3 has a groove-shaped region 8, as shown in the cross-sectional view Fig. 5b can be removed. This substantially U-shaped groove portion 8 of the seal 3 is of a not shown in the drawings projecting portion of the housing front frame in a form-fitting manner receivable. In this way, if necessary, the seal 3 can be detached from the housing 1 without great effort, in order to allow replacement of the seal during maintenance work, etc.

The representation in Fig. 5b It can also be seen that the seal 3 has a bead region 9 connected to the groove region 8. This bead region 9 is formed part-circular in cross-section. In its attached to the housing end face A state of the seal 3, the bead region 9 in the coupling direction L, so that the seals used for sealing the coupling housing 1 used sealing regions 3a, 3b, 3c, 3c 'from the front and top or radially outwardly rounded , which allows the seal 3 to be loaded both axially (from the front) and radially (from the outside).

Of course, it is also conceivable to use a circumferential seal with circular cross section (round cord), which is attached to the housing end face A of the coupling housing 1.

The electrical contact coupling 100 according to the embodiment shown in the drawings has a protective flap 4, which is articulated via two lateral joints 6 on the coupling housing 1 such that the protective flap 4 is covered by a fixed axis of rotation R from a first position in which the housing opening 2 is, in a second position in which the housing opening 2 is exposed relative to the clutch housing 1 is pivotable. For pivoting the protective flap 4 about the axis of rotation R, a suitable drive 7 can be used. Of course, it is also conceivable to pivot the protective flap 4 mechanically via a spring or otherwise relative to the coupling housing 1.

As it is in particular the representation in Fig. 6 can be removed, is used for pivoting the protective flap 4, a pivot 6 is used, which connects the protective flap 4 via a single articulated arm with the pivot point through which the axis of rotation R runs. The protective flap 4 has a round inner contour so that it can be pivoted away over the upper edge of the housing.

The following is with reference to the representations in the Figures 2 . 3 and 4 the interaction of the protective flap 4 with the housing end face A of the Clutch housing 1 attached seal 3 described in more detail. Here is in Fig. 2 the embodiment of the electrical contact coupling 100 according to the invention shown in the drawings shown in a partially sectioned view, wherein the protective flap 4 is in its first position in which the housing opening 2 is covered. Fig. 3b is a sectional view along the in Fig. 3a shown line AA. In Fig. 3b is the interaction of the protective flap 4 with the attached to the clutch housing 1 seal 3 in the closed state of the protective flap 4, especially in the upper and lower regions clearly visible. As the protective flap 4 cooperates with the seal 3 at the lateral sealing gap in the closed state of the protective flap 4, the FIGS. 3c to 3e be removed. These figures represent corresponding sectional views along the in Fig. 3a shown lines BB, CC and DD.

As it is in particular the representation in Fig. 3b can be removed, attached to the housing end face A seal 3 is divided into an upper sealing portion 3a and a lower sealing portion 3b. These two sealing regions 3a, 3b extend substantially parallel to the axis of rotation R about which the protective flap 4 is pivotable relative to the coupling housing 1.

The protective flap 4 has at its edge a contact area, which in the first (closed) position of the protective flap 4 is in contact with the corresponding sealing regions of the gasket 3, in order to allow the coupling housing 1 to be sealed off from the environment. It is essential that the contact region of the protective flap 4 is divided into individual sections, wherein these individual sections are assigned to the corresponding sealing regions of the seal 3 and executed accordingly.

As it in particular the representations in the Figures 2 and 3b can be removed, the protective flap on the upper sealing portion 3a of the seal 3 associated contact area portion, which is designed as a sealing surface 5a, which is aligned in the closed state of the protective flap 4 substantially perpendicular to the housing end face A. In other words, in the closed state of the protective flap 4, the portion of the contact region designed as a sealing surface 5a and associated with the upper sealing region 3a contacts the upper sealing region 3a radially from the outside.

On the other hand contacted in the closed state of the electrical contact coupling 100, the protective flap 4, the lower sealing portion 3b of the seal 3 via a likewise formed as a sealing surface 5b portion of the contact region, but in this case the contacting takes place from the front. As a result, the portion of the contact region assigned to the lower sealing region 3b is designed as a sealing surface 5b aligned substantially parallel to the housing end face A.

In the following, with reference in particular to the illustrations in FIGS FIGS. 3c to 3e describes the configuration of the contact region, which contacts the lateral sealing regions 3c and 3c 'of the seal 3 in the closed state of the protective flap 4. In detail shows Fig. 3c a sectional view along the in Fig. 3a shown line BB while Fig. 3d a sectional view taken along the line CC and Fig. 3e a sectional view along the line DD shows.

A comparison of the in the FIGS. 3c to 3e shown sectional views directly shows that the portion of the contact area, which contacts the lateral sealing area 3c of the seal 3 in the closed state of the protective flap 4, is designed as a three-dimensional sealing surface 5c. In the upper region of the lateral sealing region 3c, this sealing surface 5c contacts the sealing region 3c radially from the outside, while in the lower region of the lateral sealing region 3c there the sealing region 3c is contacted substantially from the front by the sealing surface 5c. The orientation of the sealing surface 5c changes in a steady manner from the in Fig. 3c shown state in the in Fig. 3e illustrated state. Accordingly, the portion of the contact region assigned to the lateral sealing regions 3c, 3c 'is embodied as a three-dimensional sealing surface 5c, 5c' whose orientation rotates through 90 °. This is especially the presentation in Fig. 4a removable.

In detail shows Fig. 4a in a perspective view of the clutch housing 1 of the exemplary embodiment of the electrical contact coupling 100 according to the invention, wherein the sake of clarity of the protective flap 4, only the contact areas are shown.

Of the Fig. 4a In particular, it can be seen that the individual sealing surfaces of the protective flap 4 merge tangentially into one another, wherein the sealing surface 5a, which is assigned to the upper sealing region 3a, extends substantially horizontally, while the sealing surface 5b, which is assigned to the lower sealing region 3b, essentially vertical. The two lateral sealing areas 3c, 3c 'associated sealing surfaces 5c, 5c' are wound by 90 degrees.

Fig. 4a) verschwenkt.Due to the special design of the individual sealing surfaces 5a, 5b, 5c, 5c 'of the protective flap 4 ensures that when pivoting the protective flap 4 about the axis of rotation R relative to the clutch housing 1, the seal 3 until immediately before reaching the closed position of the contact area of the protective flap 4 is touched. In this way, the lateral sealing portions 3c, 3c 'when pivoting the protective flap 4 relative to the clutch housing 1 only shortly before reaching the final closed position exposed to friction. This results in particular from the representation in Fig. 4b showing in a perspective view the clutch housing 1 of the electrical contact coupling 100 shown in the drawings, wherein only the sealing surfaces 5a, 5b, 5c, 5c 'are shown by the hinged to the clutch housing 1 hinged protective flap 4 for clarity. In contrast to the representation in Fig. 4a is in the representation in Fig. 4b the protective flap 4 by 10 degrees relative to the clutch housing 1 from the closed position (see. Fig. 4a ) pivots.

It is immediately apparent that in the Fig. 4b illustrated state, the sealing surfaces of the protective flap 4 and in particular the lateral sealing surfaces 5c, 5c 'no longer the seal 3 and in particular the lateral sealing portions 3c, 3c' contact, so that during the movement of the protective flap 4 relative to the housing 1, the seal 3 no longer is touched and thus is exposed to no friction. Specifically, the sealing surfaces 5c, 5c 'associated with the lateral sealing portions 3c, 3c' are designed to contact the gasket (the lateral sealing portions 3c, 3c ') only for the last 5 ° of the valve closing movement.

Erst unmittelbar am Beginn der Öffnungsbewegung bzw. unmittelbar am Ende der Schließbewegung berührt der Kontaktbereich der Schutzklappe 4 die Dichtung 3.Accordingly, it should be noted that with the solution according to the invention the protective flap 4 can be pressed firmly against the housing opening 2 surrounding the seal 3, so that even in the uncoupled state, a tight completion of the coupling housing 1 is achieved. On the other hand, the friction of the protective flap 4 when opening or closing the seal 3 is practically negligible, so that the seal 3 is not squeezed by this movement or worn by friction. Only immediately at the beginning of the opening movement or directly at the end of the closing movement does the contact area of the protective flap 4 touch the seal 3.

In Fig. 6 is the electrical contact coupling 100 according to the embodiment in one with a correspondingly complementary formed counter-electrical contact coupling 100 'is connected. Since the counter-electrical contact coupling 100 'is constructed identically to the electrical contact coupling 100, it will be omitted here to describe the individual components of the counter-electrical contact coupling 100' in more detail.

The representation in Fig. 6 In particular, it can be seen that in the coupled state of the electrical contact couplings, the corresponding seals 3, 3 'are pressed against each other to protect the coupling elements or contacts of the coupled electrical contact couplings 100, 100' against moisture and / or contamination.

The invention is not limited to the embodiment of the electrical contact coupling shown in the drawings, but results from a synopsis of all features disclosed herein.
