Definitions

  • the invention relates to an openable transport and storage container comprising at least one base and peripheral elements with which it defines a box, at least one of the peripheral elements delimiting at least one opening selectively closed by at least one first and second retractable panels, each of the first and second panels being respectively movable between a "closed” position and an "open” position in which they seal and release respectively a first portion of the opening and a second portion of the opening larger than the first portion
  • the containers are for example pallet boxes, well known and generally used for the transport and storage of various products arranged in bulk or stored, especially in the field of industry and commerce. They can be made of different materials, wood, metal, plastic materials or any other suitable material. In order to facilitate their use, they may have standardized ground dimensions, for example 800 x 600 mm, 1200 x 800 mm, 1200 x 1600 mm, 1140 x 1140 mm, or any other dimensions allowing them to be easily stacked together. on the others, stored and transported.
  • the base of these containers is advantageously formed by a pallet allowing the use of pallet trucks to move them.
  • These containers may also be provided with caps preventing the contained products from falling, especially during transport.
  • the containers may also comprise folding and / or collapsible peripheral elements.
  • the peripheral elements can be folded and folded towards the inside of the container to collapse on itself and reduce its size.
  • a pallet box comprising a peripheral element provided with an opening whose height corresponds substantially to half the useful height of the pallet box. This opening is closed by a panel, movable in translation in slides provided laterally on the vertical edges of the cut. The movable panel can be translated downward to clear the opening in whole or part. When the movable panel is in the retracted position (low position), the interior of the pallet box is accessible over the entire height of the opening.
  • the object of the invention is to overcome this drawback and to propose another embodiment of a workable container, simple to use, for opening at least one of the sides of the container according to openings having at least two predetermined dimensions facilitating the filling and emptying of the container, whose footprint is limited, and to ensure, in a simple manner, the integrity of the products contained.
  • the subject of the invention is an openable transport and storage container, the container comprising at least one base and peripheral elements with which it defines a box, at least one of the peripheral elements delimiting at least one opening closed by at least first and second retractable panels, each of the first and second panels being movable respectively between a "closed” position and an "open” position in which they seal and release respectively a first portion of the opening and a second portion of the opening of dimensions greater than the first portion, characterized in that the first panel is coupled to the second panel by at least one slide connection allowing it to translate from its "closed” position to its "open” position in which it releases the first portion of the opening and in that the second panel is coupled to the base by a pivot connection allows it rotate from its "closed” position to its "open” position in which it releases the second portion of the opening.
  • the container according to the invention therefore allows, in a simple manner, to provide openings in two different dimensions while keeping the possibility of securing the interior of the contents by simply blocking the first panel by means for example of a sealing.
  • the two-step opening makes it possible to secure the filling and emptying of the container.
  • a first mode of use before filling the container, the opening is fully opened.
  • the first products are first stacked and then, when there is a risk of the first products falling through the opening, these first products are blocked by closing the second panel, this closing being obtained by pivoting the second panel to its position "Closed". This partially closes the opening.
  • the filling can, in a third time, be continued until there is a new risk of falling of the new stacked products. Then, in a fourth step, the opening is completely closed by translation of the first panel relative to the second panel to its "closed" position. If the container is not provided with its cap, after total closure of the opening, the filling can be continued from above. According to another mode of use, it is also possible to start stacking the first products while having the second panel in its "closed" position so that, from the beginning, it retains the first products stacked in the container.
  • a portion of the opening is firstly released by translating the first panel to its "open” position in order to more easily access the products contained in the upper part of the container.
  • the opening is released in its entirety by pivoting the second panel carrying the first panel to its "open” position. This gives access to the interior of the container over its entire height.
  • a second mode of use it is possible to start emptying the container while having the first panel in its "closed” position to open it only after, when the level of product has decreased.
  • the invention relates to a container 1 for transport and storage openable, box-pallet type.
  • the invention is however not limited to this embodiment and is intended for all types of comparable containers.
  • the container 1 comprises a base 2 and peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6.
  • the base 2 is pallet type, known, and comprises a plate substantially flat, provided with feet 21 favoring its support on any type of soil or support.
  • the lateral edges of the plate 20 may be provided with engagement slots 22, visible on the figure 1 , capable of receiving engagement elements (not shown) provided along the lower edges of the peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6, to ensure their attachment to the base 2.
  • the container 1 comprises four corner elements 7 , visible on the figure 1 , intended to be clipped on the base 2 and, in known manner, able to receive the engagement of the peripheral elements 3, 5.
  • the peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6 are substantially planar and comprise two lateral elements 4, 6 connected by a back element 5.
  • the lateral elements 4, 6 and the back element 5 are substantially similar and able to engage with the corner elements 7 and the base 2.
  • the lateral elements 4, 6 are also connected between them by a front element 3 having a general U-shape whose lateral uprights 30 and the base 31 define an opening 32.
  • the base 31 is, in known manner, able to cooperate with the corner elements 7 to secure the front element 3 to the base 2.
  • the side elements 4, 6, dorsal 5 and front 3, are also coupled in pairs by means of complementary shapes provided on their side edges. They thus define, with the base 2, a box capable of receiving any type of products to be stored and / or transported. Products can be stacked in a row, or arranged loose on top of one another.
  • the container 1 may also comprise a cap 8 as illustrated on the figure 2 , closing the casing and carried by the upper edges of the lateral elements 4, 6, and dorsal 5.
  • the container 1 further comprises a first panel 10 and a second panel 11, retractable, for successively closing and clear all or part of the opening 32 to prohibit and then allow access to the interior of the container 1 by all or part of the same opening 32.
  • the first and second panels 10, 11 have comparable widths and heights and are carried by the lateral uprights 30 and the base 31 of the front element 3.
  • the first panel 10 and the second panel 11 comprise linear elements 12, partially visible on the Figures 1 and 2 , placed opposite each other and defining slides allowing translation of the first panel 10 relative to the second panel 11 and guiding the first panel 10.
  • the second panel 11 is coupled to the front element 3 by a pivot connection .
  • the pivot connection is formed by four hinges 33, visible on the Figures 1, 2 and 5 , distributed at regular intervals along the upper edge of the base 31 of the front element 3. These hinges 33 are in the form of clips nested respectively on the upper edge of the base 31 and on the base of the second panel 11.
  • the pivot connection can of course be made by any other suitable means.
  • the hinges 33 define a pivot axis AA of the hinges 33 relative to the base 2 and a secondary pivot axis BB of the second panel 11 relative to the hinges 33, these pivot axis AA and secondary pivot axis BB being substantially parallel between them and the base 2 and allowing the second panel 11, when in its "open" position, to hang substantially vertically along the base 2.
  • the opening 32 is closed by the first and the second panels 10, 11 which are in their positions "closed” respectively.
  • the first panel 10 is locked in its "closed” position by means of first latches 100 side of which only one is shown.
  • Each first latch 100 is in the form of an elastically deformable part carried by the first panel 10. At rest, the first latches 100 extend into the lateral uprights 30 of the front element 3 and bear against the stops 34 preventing the translation of the first panel 10.
  • the second panel 11 is substantially parallel to the first panel 10 and slightly offset.
  • the second panel 11 is locked in its "closed” position by means of second latches 110, substantially similar to the first latches 100, preventing the pivoting of the second panel 11.
  • the first and second latches can of course be made of any other adapted way.
  • the first panel 10 is extended by a flap 101 extending, in this configuration, over the second panel 11 and defining an overlap zone.
  • This overlapping zone makes it possible to stiffen the first and second panels 10, 11 in order to reinforce the solidity of the container 1.
  • this overlapping zone extends the linear elements 12 defining the slides and guiding the first panel 10 at least in its part. low at the beginning of translation to its "closed” position and gradually over its entire height.
  • the free ends of the lateral uprights 30 of the front element form slide portions 300 in which the lateral edges of the first panel 10 are engaged in the "closed” position of the first panel 10 and during part of the translation of the first panel 10 from its "closed” position to its “open” position.
  • the first panel 10 is also guided in its upper part, which prevents it from pivoting.
  • the lateral edges of the first panel 10 are no longer engaged in the slide portions 300.
  • the first panel 10 can thus rotate while being carried by the second panel 11.

The containers are for example pallet boxes, well known and generally used for the transport and storage of various products arranged in bulk or stored, especially in the field of industry and commerce. The base of these containers is advantageously formed by a pallet allowing the use of pallet trucks to move them. These containers may also be provided with caps preventing the contained products from falling, especially during transport.

In order to limit the size of the containers when they are empty, they can be provided with removable peripheral elements that can be removed for storing the container while waiting for its subsequent reuse. An example of such a container is in particular given by the publication EP 1 719 711 which describes a container having a base on which the peripheral elements are fixed by vertical translation. The peripheral elements are provided with lateral slides allowing their two to two engagement by vertical translation. The lower edges of the peripheral elements and the top of the base are also provided with complementary shapes, hooks and orifices, allowing the engagement and locking of the peripheral elements in the base. The container thus formed can be removed at any time to allow storage in a reduced volume.

The containers may also comprise folding and / or collapsible peripheral elements. This is for example the case of the containers described in the publications WO 2001/162 610 and US 2007/0084864 which are provided with peripheral elements formed of two panels, a lower panel articulated with respect to the base by means of a first hinge and an upper panel articulated with respect to the lower panel via a second hinge . The peripheral elements can be folded and folded towards the inside of the container to collapse on itself and reduce its size.

In addition, there are containers allowing lateral access to at least a portion of the products they contain. These containers are for example provided with peripheral elements having a retractable panel. Thus, the publication WO 2010/31456 describes a pallet box comprising a peripheral element provided with an opening whose height corresponds substantially to half the useful height of the pallet box. This opening is closed by a panel, movable in translation in slides provided laterally on the vertical edges of the cut. The movable panel can be translated downward to clear the opening in whole or part. When the movable panel is in the retracted position (low position), the interior of the pallet box is accessible over the entire height of the opening.

Existing containers however do not allow to adjust the clearance or closure of the opening depending in particular on the level of products contained in the container.

Exposé de l'inventionPresentation of the invention

The object of the invention is to overcome this drawback and to propose another embodiment of a workable container, simple to use, for opening at least one of the sides of the container according to openings having at least two predetermined dimensions facilitating the filling and emptying of the container, whose footprint is limited, and to ensure, in a simple manner, the integrity of the products contained.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is an openable transport and storage container, the container comprising at least one base and peripheral elements with which it defines a box, at least one of the peripheral elements delimiting at least one opening closed by at least first and second retractable panels, each of the first and second panels being movable respectively between a "closed" position and an "open" position in which they seal and release respectively a first portion of the opening and a second portion of the opening of dimensions greater than the first portion, characterized in that the first panel is coupled to the second panel by at least one slide connection allowing it to translate from its "closed" position to its "open" position in which it releases the first portion of the opening and in that the second panel is coupled to the base by a pivot connection allows it rotate from its "closed" position to its "open" position in which it releases the second portion of the opening.

The container according to the invention therefore allows, in a simple manner, to provide openings in two different dimensions while keeping the possibility of securing the interior of the contents by simply blocking the first panel by means for example of a sealing. The two-step opening makes it possible to secure the filling and emptying of the container. According to a first mode of use, before filling the container, the opening is fully opened. During filling, the first products are first stacked and then, when there is a risk of the first products falling through the opening, these first products are blocked by closing the second panel, this closing being obtained by pivoting the second panel to its position "Closed". This partially closes the opening. The stacking of the first products being secured, the filling can, in a third time, be continued until there is a new risk of falling of the new stacked products.

To empty the container, the same can be done according to two different modes of use. According to a first mode of use, a portion of the opening is firstly released by translating the first panel to its "open" position in order to more easily access the products contained in the upper part of the container. In a second step, the opening is released in its entirety by pivoting the second panel carrying the first panel to its "open" position. This gives access to the interior of the container over its entire height. According to a second mode of use, it is possible to start emptying the container while having the first panel in its "closed" position to open it only after, when the level of product has decreased.

These modes of use can be used indifferently whether the container is provided with its soiffe. Thus, with the container according to the invention, it is easy to empty or safely fill containers stacked on each other or provided with a cap.

Description des modes de réalisationDescription of the embodiments

The invention relates to a container 1 for transport and storage openable, box-pallet type. The invention is however not limited to this embodiment and is intended for all types of comparable containers.

With reference to Figures 1, 2 , 5 to 7 , the container 1 according to the invention comprises a base 2 and peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6. In this example, the base 2 is pallet type, known, and comprises a plate substantially flat, provided with feet 21 favoring its support on any type of soil or support. The lateral edges of the plate 20 may be provided with engagement slots 22, visible on the figure 1 , capable of receiving engagement elements (not shown) provided along the lower edges of the peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6, to ensure their attachment to the base 2. The container 1 comprises four corner elements 7 , visible on the figure 1 , intended to be clipped on the base 2 and, in known manner, able to receive the engagement of the peripheral elements 3, 5. The peripheral elements 3, 4, 5, 6 are substantially planar and comprise two lateral elements 4, 6 connected by a back element 5. The lateral elements 4, 6 and the back element 5 are substantially similar and able to engage with the corner elements 7 and the base 2. The lateral elements 4, 6 are also connected between them by a front element 3 having a general U-shape whose lateral uprights 30 and the base 31 define an opening 32. The base 31 is, in known manner, able to cooperate with the corner elements 7 to secure the front element 3 to the base 2. The side elements 4, 6, dorsal 5 and front 3, are also coupled in pairs by means of complementary shapes provided on their side edges. They thus define, with the base 2, a box capable of receiving any type of products to be stored and / or transported. Products can be stacked in a row, or arranged loose on top of one another. The container 1 may also comprise a cap 8 as illustrated on the figure 2 , closing the casing and carried by the upper edges of the lateral elements 4, 6, and dorsal 5.

The container 1 further comprises a first panel 10 and a second panel 11, retractable, for successively closing and clear all or part of the opening 32 to prohibit and then allow access to the interior of the container 1 by all or part of the same opening 32. The first and second panels 10, 11 have comparable widths and heights and are carried by the lateral uprights 30 and the base 31 of the front element 3.

The first panel 10 and the second panel 11 comprise linear elements 12, partially visible on the Figures 1 and 2 , placed opposite each other and defining slides allowing translation of the first panel 10 relative to the second panel 11 and guiding the first panel 10. The second panel 11 is coupled to the front element 3 by a pivot connection . In this example the pivot connection is formed by four hinges 33, visible on the Figures 1, 2 and 5 , distributed at regular intervals along the upper edge of the base 31 of the front element 3. These hinges 33 are in the form of clips nested respectively on the upper edge of the base 31 and on the base of the second panel 11. The pivot connection can of course be made by any other suitable means. The hinges 33 define a pivot axis AA of the hinges 33 relative to the base 2 and a secondary pivot axis BB of the second panel 11 relative to the hinges 33, these pivot axis AA and secondary pivot axis BB being substantially parallel between them and the base 2 and allowing the second panel 11, when in its "open" position, to hang substantially vertically along the base 2.

In the configuration illustrated by the figure 2 , the opening 32 is closed by the first and the second panels 10, 11 which are in their positions "closed" respectively. As detailed on Figures 3A and 3B , the first panel 10 is locked in its "closed" position by means of first latches 100 side of which only one is shown. Each first latch 100 is in the form of an elastically deformable part carried by the first panel 10. At rest, the first latches 100 extend into the lateral uprights 30 of the front element 3 and bear against the stops 34 preventing the translation of the first panel 10. In this configuration illustrated by the figure 3A the second panel 11 is substantially parallel to the first panel 10 and slightly offset. As detailed on Figures 4A and 4B , the second panel 11 is locked in its "closed" position by means of second latches 110, substantially similar to the first latches 100, preventing the pivoting of the second panel 11. The first and second latches can of course be made of any other adapted way. The first panel 10 is extended by a flap 101 extending, in this configuration, over the second panel 11 and defining an overlap zone. This overlapping zone makes it possible to stiffen the first and second panels 10, 11 in order to reinforce the solidity of the container 1. In addition, this overlapping zone extends the linear elements 12 defining the slides and guiding the first panel 10 at least in its part. low at the beginning of translation to its "closed" position and gradually over its entire height. The free ends of the lateral uprights 30 of the front element form slide portions 300 in which the lateral edges of the first panel 10 are engaged in the "closed" position of the first panel 10 and during part of the translation of the first panel 10 from its "closed" position to its "open" position. Thus, the first panel 10 is also guided in its upper part, which prevents it from pivoting. In its "open" position, the lateral edges of the first panel 10 are no longer engaged in the slide portions 300. The first panel 10 can thus rotate while being carried by the second panel 11. In the "closed" position of the first and second panels 10, 11, the container 1 may be provided with sealing means (Not shown) of the first panel 10 for example to one of the first locks 100, and to ensure the integrity of the products contained in the container 1.

In order to be able to move the first panel 10 from its "closed" position to its "open" position, the first locks 100 must be unlocked. To do this, the sealing means are cut out and, as illustrated by the Figures 3A and 3B , by lateral pressure, the first latches 100 are elastically deformed. The stops 34 then no longer prevent the translation of the first panel 10 which can be displaced with respect to the second panel 11 towards its "open" position illustrated by FIG. figure 5 . In this example, the cap 8 has been removed, it can of course be left in place during the opening of the first panel 10. To facilitate the translation of the first panel 10, the latter can be provided with handles 102, visible on the Figures 4A, 4B and 5 formed by oblong slots passing through the first panel 10. The handles may be made in any other suitable manner. The first panel 10 translates relative to the second panel 11 outside the container 1 relative to the second panel 11. At the beginning of its translation from its "closed" position to its "open" position, the first panel 10 is guided simultaneously by the lateral edges flowing in the slider portions 300 provided in the top of the lateral uprights 30 of the front element 3 and by the linear elements 12 of the first and second panels 10, 11. Until the "open" position of the first panel 10, the side edges of the first panel 10 and the slider portions 300 prevent any pivoting of the first and second panels 10, 11 relative to the base 2. Once the slider portions 300 are exceeded by the top of the side edges of the first panel 10, the first panel 10 is guided in its translation by the linear elements 12 of the first and second panels 10, 11 which are then sufficiently engaged with each other to provide guidance iable. The first panel 10 has lateral recesses 13, visible on the figures 1 , 3A , 4A , 6 , positioned so that in the "open" position of the first panel 10, they are superimpose the second latch 110. Thus, the second latches 110 are accessible and can be operated through the lateral recesses 13. In this example, the lateral recesses 13 are provided at the upper corners of the first panel 10, they can of course be provided for. any other location adapted according to the position of the second latches 110. In addition, the second panel 11 is provided with locking lugs 15 extending laterally and housed, in the "closed" position of the second panel 11, in recesses 35. provided in the lateral uprights 30 of the front element 3. The cooperation of the locking tabs 15 and the recesses 35 makes it possible, when closing the second panel 11, to prevent the latter from tilting towards the inside of the container, without however solicit second locks 110 for this purpose. In the lower position of the first panel 10, the first latches 100 are no longer opposite the slide portions 300. Thus, in this configuration, the lateral uprights 30 do not prevent the pivoting of the first panel 10 carried by the second panel 11. The pivoting of the first and second panels 10, 11 is prevented by the second latches 110, in engagement with the lateral edges 30 of the front element 3. In the "open" position of the first panel 10, illustrated by the figure 5 , the first panel 10 is completely superimposed on the second panel 11 without exceeding. Thus, the opening 32 is disengaged on a first portion, substantially representing half of the total surface of the opening 32. The upper part of the interior of the container 1 is accessible. The upper edge of the second panel 11 can be provided with clearances 36, visible on the Figures 6 and 7 , allowing access to the handles 102 of the first panel 10 in its "open" position.

In order to be able to move the second panel 11 from its "closed" position to its "open" position, the second latches 110 must be unlocked. The same procedure is followed for unlocking the first latches 100 by accessing the second latches 110 through the second latches 110. lateral recesses 13 provided in the first panel 10. When the second latches 110 are elastically deformed, the stops then no longer prevent the tilting of the second panel 11 which can be pivoted about the pivot axis AA, relative to the base 2, by carrying the first panel 10 with which it is coupled by the slide link. In detail, the hinges 33 pivot relative to the upper edge of the base 31 of the front member 3 about the secondary pivot axis BB and the second panel 11 pivots relative to the hinges 33 about the pivot axis AA. The first panel 10 thus pivots with the second panel 11. This pivoting can also be obtained in a similar manner with the cap 8 covering the container 1. The first and second panels 10, 11 thus pivot through an intermediate position illustrated by the figure 6 to the "open" position illustrated by the figure 7 . In the "open" position of the second panel 11, the first and second panels 10, 11 hang freely from the pivot axis AA, they are substantially vertical, do not exceed below the base 2 and therefore do not touch the ground. This configuration is obtained by means of the hinges 33 defining the secondary pivot axis BB between the pivot axis AA and the second panel 11. The combination of the pivoting hinges 33 and the second panel 11 respectively relative to the second panel 11 and hinges 33 thus allows the second panel 11 to be substantially vertical in its "open" position. The opening 32 is disengaged on a second portion of dimensions greater than the first portion, namely substantially all of it, and thus gives access to the entire interior of the container 1. The container 1 can be emptied of any products it contains before and / or after each translation, pivoting, of the first and second panels 10, 11 to their "open" positions.

To close the container 1, the procedure is reversed by pivoting the assembly formed by the second and first panels 11, 10. This pivoting stops with the contact between the locking lugs 15 and the recesses 35. then deform elastically, blocking the second panel 11 in its "closed" position. It is then possible to remount the first panel 10, locked after translation in its "closed" position by the first latches 100. The container 1 can be filled with products before and / or after each pivoting, translation, of the second and first panels 11 , 10 to their "closed" positions.

In the example described, the various constituent elements the container 1 are made of plastic materials. They can of course be made of any other suitable material. The peripheral elements are dismountable, they can also be fixed releasably to the base or form a single piece to which are added the first and second panels.

According to the embodiment described, access and closure of the opening 32 are obtained by displacements respectively from top to bottom and bottom to top, namely vertically, with a pivot axis AA and a secondary axis of pivoting. BB substantially parallel to the base 2 and a slide connection allowing a translation substantially perpendicular to the pivot axis AA and the secondary pivot axis BB. According to another embodiment not shown, it is possible to provide access and closure of the opening obtained by lateral movements from left to right or from right to left. In this case, the pivot axis is substantially perpendicular to the vertical base, carried by one of the lateral uprights of the front element, the slide portions are then formed by the base of the front element alone and / or with the cap.

According to another embodiment not shown, the lateral edges of the opening are formed directly by the front ends of the side members and the front member is coupled directly to the base by the pivot connection. According to this embodiment, the front element is formed by the first and second panels and does not have side uprights.

The pivot axes AA and the secondary pivot axis BB can be replaced by a single axis. In this case, so that the first and second panels can hang substantially vertically in their "open" positions, the bottom of the front element and the base can have a recess adapted to receive them in this vertical position.

According to yet another embodiment not shown, the opening is closed by a number of upper panels, for example two panels sliding relative to each other carried by a pivoting panel.
