Abstract

The invention relates to a folding box comprising side walls (3, 5, 7, 9) able to be reinforced and folded down, some of which are provided with stops (27, 29) to interlock the opened out walls. According to the invention, at least one of the walls which can be folded down comprises two articulated panels (15, 17) and the stops which are formed on two opposite walls (5, 9) adjacent to this wall with articulated panels comprise upper stops (27) and lower stops (29) which are offset with respect to each other so that, in the erected position, the upper and lower panels (15, 17) bear internally and externally against the said upper and lower stops respectively. As regards each wall 5, 9 devoid of such panels, the passages in question with their bars 45 extend here at the location of the horizontal articulation axis 22a of this wall relative to the base 13, as well as along the free edge forming the upper edge of the wall considered, (such as 9 in FIG. 6) and along the opposite lateral edges of this same wall, as marked 9a and 9b in FIG. 6, thus allowing interlocking between them terminals at one of their ends.

Claims

1 - Folding box comprising a bottom (11) and side walls (3, 5, 7, 9,) two by two opposite, foldable towards the inside of the box, at least some of these walls being provided with stops (27 , 29) arranged towards their opposite lateral edges to block said walls in a deployed position or these walls are raised relative to the bottom, characterized in that at least one of the folding walls comprises at least two panels (15, 17 ) extending over the entire length (L) of this wall, these panels being hinged in rotation relative to each other in a longitudinal direction so that they can be folded up by hinging inwards of the body, said stops (27, 29) which are formed on two opposite walls (5, 9) adjacent to this wall with hinged panels, comprising upper stops (27) and lower stops (29), the second being located closer to said opposite edges s (5a, 5b; 9a, 9b) of these walls as the first which are offset away from these edges, so that in the upright deployed position the upper and lower panels (15, 17) come to bear internally, respectively externally, against said upper stops, respectively lower.

2 - Box according to claim 1 characterized in that at the place or opposite the lower stops (29), the lower panel (17) of the wall with hinged panels externally has clearances or notches (32) of a depth substantially equal to the thickness of said stops (29) to avoid, in these places, any projection towards the outside of the body.

3 - Box according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that the upper stops (27) extend to the top of the walls which carry them and are offset away from the opposite edges (5a, 5b; 9a, 9b) of these walls, substantially of the thickness of the upper panel (15) of the wall with corresponding hinged panels.

4 - Box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises four side walls, two of which (3, 7) have hinged panels, the latter two walls hinging, at their base and relative to a base. (13) fixed to the body integrating said bottom (11), at a level below that where said walls (5,9) without articulated panels are articulated at their base relative to this same base (13), so that 'in the folded position of the body, the two opposite walls (5, 9) devoid of said hinged panels cover the walls with hinged panels.

5 - Box according to claim 4 characterized in that the distance (h3) between the axes of articulation of the walls with and without hinged panels and the height of these walls (5, 9) without hinged panels are such that in the folded position of said body, the latter walls extend substantially in the same plane, without overlapping.

6 - Box according to claim 4 or claim 5 characterized in that the free edge forming the upper edge of said base (13) of the box and / or the walls (17, 5, 9) of the latter along their base s extending opposite this free edge, has (s) a rounded angle on the inside of the body and a sharp angle on the opposite outside, so as to allow pivoting of said walls relative to the base (13) towards the interior of the box by preventing these same walls from deviating towards the outside of said box beyond substantially their upright upright position.

7 - Box according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that in the thickness of said walls, are formed passages (43) open at least at one end to receive rigid reinforcing bars (45) increasing the mechanical resistance of these walls without interfering with their articulation, said open end of these passages then being closed, once the bars have been inserted, said bars belonging to the walls (5, 9) without articulated panels locking themselves at their ends.

8 - Box according to claim 7 characterized in that the passages with their bars (45) extend

- as regards each wall with articulated panels (15, 17), at the location of the axes of articulation of these panels with one another (15a) and with respect to the base (17a), as well as along the free edge forming upper edge of the upper panel (15),

- And, with regard to each wall devoid of such panels, at the location of the axis of articulation (22a) of this wall relative to the base (13), and along the free edge forming the upper edge of said wall as well as along the opposite lateral edges (5a, 5b; 9a, 9b) of this same wall where said bars (45) are locked together (FIG. 6).

9 - Box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means (37, 38) of the tenon-mortise type for the relative maintenance in the deployed deployed position of two walls adjacent to each other, these means being formed of 'on the one hand on the stops (27, 29) and on the other hand, opposite, on the corresponding side walls.

10 - Box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the walls with articulated panels (15, 17) are fitted with latches (39) provided on the upper and lower panels and comprising bolts (40) suitable for penetrating into orifices (41) formed in correspondence in the adjacent walls (5, 9) devoid of such panels.
