Description

It is known to use collapsible bins for the storage and handling of goods. A collapsible container can be made in a known manner:
  • a horizontal bottom wall of rectangular shape,
  • a peripheral upper belt delimiting an open upper wall,
  • of four walls which extend vertically from the bottom towards the peripheral upper belt, of the type of which two opposite lateral vertical walls each have a panel which is articulated on the upper belt or on the bottom wall between a vertical position of use and a horizontal position for inward folding of the container, of the type of which two opposite longitudinal vertical foldable walls each have a similar upper panel and lower panel which are hinged together by means of articulation, along a horizontal line, and whose the upper panel is articulated on the upper belt and the lower panel is articulated on the bottom wall, between a vertical position of use and a position folded in a V towards the inside of the tank, and
  • movable means for closing the opening of the upper wall.

This type of bin offers a good compromise between the useful volume corresponding to the interior volume of the tank when is open and takes up little space when folded, which optimizes the empty return of the bins and limits the costs of transport.

In addition the side walls are vertical which optimizes filling capacity, especially when the goods stored are parallelepipedic.

The bin also includes stacking means arranged on the bottom wall, which are able to cooperate with first means complementary to the upper wall of another tank. Stacking and complementary means allow to lock the position of the tank in a plane horizontal when stacked or stacked on another container same type.

In known manner, the stacking means consist of a protruding area, such as a rib, which extends downwardly from the bottom of the container and which, when the container is stacked, cooperates with the upper belt of the lower tank.

So it is possible to move several stacked bins without risk of battery collapse.

However, such a type of bin is not suitable for some logistics flows. When several bins are stacked, it it is only possible to empty the bin located on top of the stack. To be able to empty the other bins, the stack must be removed, which requires space to place the bins and operations additional handling.

Another solution is to equip a vertical wall of a movable part between an open position achieving a access opening in said wall, and a closed position.

When the mobile part is open it is possible to empty the bin even when it is located in a pile. However the realization of the mobile homeland in a vertical side wall is complicated.

In order to provide a solution to these problems, the invention provides a collapsible material handling container plastic, of the type described above which is characterized in that that at least one first vertical wall has second stacking means which are able to cooperate with second ones additional means of another bin so that it can be stacked in a lying position, after rotating around a horizontal axis parallel to said vertical wall.

In the following description, the identical elements or similar will be designated by the same reference numbers.

FIG. 1 represents a foldable container 10 made of material plastic of known type.

It mainly has a horizontal bottom wall 12 rectangular, a peripheral upper belt 14 delimiting an open upper wall 16, and four walls which extend vertically from the bottom 12 towards the belt upper 14.

Two opposite vertical side walls 20, 22 each have a panel 24, 26 which is articulated on the upper belt 14 between a vertical position of use (shown in Figure 1) and a horizontal folding position (shown in Figure 2) towards the inside of the tank 10.

As a variant, the side walls 20, 22 can also be articulated on the bottom wall 12.

The other two opposite vertical walls 30, 32 are foldable and oriented longitudinally. They each comprise an upper panel 34, 36 and a similar lower panel 38, 40 which are hinged together by articulation means 42, 44, along a horizontal line A 1 , A 2 , and whose upper panel 34, 36 is articulated on the upper belt 14 and the lower panel 38, 40 is articulated on the bottom wall 12, between a vertical position of use (represented in FIG. 1) and a position folded in V towards the inside of the tank ( shown in Figure 2).

Le bac 10 comporte aussi des moyens mobiles ou couvercles 46 d'obturation de l'ouverture de la paroi supérieure 16.The tank 10 also includes mobile means or covers 46 for closing the opening of the upper wall 16.

To do this, the container 10 sup comprises first stacking means 50, arranged on the bottom wall 12, which are able to cooperate with first complementary means 52 of the upper wall 16 of the other container 10 inf .

The first stacking means 50 of the upper container 10 sup consist of a rib 54 which extends downward from the bottom wall 12. The rib 54 engages in a housing in the upper wall 16, of the lower container 10 inf on which it is stacked.

The first stacking means 50 and the first complementary means 52 make it possible to lock the position of the upper container 10 sup in a horizontal plane relative to the lower container 10 inf on which it is stacked so as to allow the production and handling of a stack of bins without risk of stack collapse.

Such a type of bin has the disadvantages described previously.

A parallèle à ladite paroi verticale 30.To remedy this, the invention proposes that at least a first vertical wall of the tank 10 sup , here a first longitudinal wall 30 comprises second stacking means 60 (shown in FIG. 4) which are able to cooperate with second complementary means 62 of another container 10 inf so as to be able to be stacked in a lying position, in accordance with FIG. 5, after having pivoted 90 ° around a horizontal axis A parallel to said vertical wall 30.

Advantageously, the longitudinal side wall 32 opposite the first vertical wall 30 also includes second complementary means 62, so as to allow stacking at least two trays 10 sup , 10 inf of the same type one on the other, all two in the supine position.

So two bins of different dimensions, for example a 300 * 400 bin and a tray 600 * 400, are of the same type when the tray 300 * 400 is stackable on the 600 * 400 tray.

The filling and emptying operations of the tanks 10 are facilitated by providing the operator with a more ergonomic position. In addition, it is possible to fill and empty the bottom tray 10 lower without removing the top tray 10 sup.

The second stacking means 60 and the second complementary means 62 may have different forms.

By way of nonlimiting example, partially represented by detail in FIG. 6, the stacking means 60 and complementary 62 consist of ribs 64 and 66 in L-shaped which extend transversely to the plane of the walls longitudinal 30, 32. Here the ribs 64 and 66 are arranged in each corner of the longitudinal walls 30, 32 on the belt upper 14 and on the vertical edge 58 of the bottom wall 12.

The ribs 64 and 66 are slightly offset one by relative to each other so that the outer faces 70 of the ribs 66 come opposite the internal faces 68 of the ribs 64. So when two bins are stacked in the supine position, their position in a horizontal plane is locked.

The second stacking means 60 and the second complementary means 62 are here arranged on the belt upper 14 and on the periphery of the bottom wall 12.

According to a variant, not shown, the second means stacking 60 and the second complementary means 62 are arranged on the panels 34 to 38 of the longitudinal walls 30, 32.

Such a configuration makes it possible to optimize the bulk tray 10 in the folded position, no part projecting from the vertical walls.

According to another variant, the articulation means 42, 44 panels of the longitudinal walls 30, 32 can form the second stacking means 60 and the second means complementary 62.

The articulation means 42 and 44 consist of an axis of rotation 80 which passes through housings produced in zones 82 of the upper panels 34, 36 and zones 84 of the lower panels 38, 40. The second stacking means 60 and the second complementary means 62 here consist of protrusions 86 of the zones 82 of the upper panels 34, 36 whose end 88 is complementary to the zones 84 of the lower panels 38, 40. When the trays 10 sup , 10 inf are stacked in the supine position, the zones 84 are housed in the ends 88 of zones 82 so as to lock the relative position of the two tanks 10 upper , 10 lower in a horizontal plane.

Advantageously, the vertical wall opposite 32 to the wall vertical 30 comprises first complementary means, so as to allow stacking on said opposite vertical wall 32 another tray in vertical position.

Similarly, the second stacking means 60 may be capable of cooperating with the first complementary means 52, so as to allow stacking of the container 10 sup either in the vertical position or in the lying position on the upper wall 16 of another container 10 inf .

Such a type of container makes it possible to stack it in position upright or lying on a lower tray which can even be upright or lying down.

The containers made according to the invention make it possible to form stacks of bins made up of bins in vertical position and / or in the supine position, according to the needs of the user and stored products.

This provides increased flexibility in the use of bins which can meet the needs of diverse logistics flows and complex.

By way of nonlimiting example, a stack of bins can be consisting of first bins to be emptied and filled several times during their cycle of use, and seconds bins to be emptied only during the last stage of the duty cycle. To do this, it is possible to stack the first tanks in vertical position and the second tanks in lying down position. The arrangement in the stack of the first bins relative to the latter is determined so as to facilitate filling and emptying operations.

The closing means 46 for opening the wall upper 16 can allow, from their closed position shutter the opening, gradually release the opening.

This allows when the bin is in the supine position, gradually open the opening and prevent products stored fall out of the bin. This configuration is particularly advantageous when the stored products are short.

By way of nonlimiting example, represented in FIGS. 8 to 10, the sealing means 46 comprise two flaps 90, 92 movable relative to each other.

Here they are articulated with respect to each other so that the upper flap 90 can be folded down on the lower flap 92 to partially open the opening.

The lower flap 92 is articulated on the edge of the belt device, so when the level of products stored in the tray allows, the lower flap 92 pivots, causing the flap upper 90 so as to fully open the opening of the container 10.

The sealing means can also, in position open, be retractable in a vertical wall of the tank 10.
