Definitions

  • the invention relates to a water-conducting domestic appliance according to the preamble of patent claim 1, and to a method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance according to the preamble of claim 9.
  • Water-bearing household appliances such as Dishwashers are supplied during a filling step with the liquid required for the operation of the household appliance.
  • the liquid is supplied in particular to a working area of the household appliance, for example a washing container of a dishwasher.
  • at least one drain pump is provided with which the liquid can be pumped out of the water-conducting household appliance again.
  • the domestic appliance has the overfill protection device. This prevents occurrence of too high water level.
  • the overfill protection device may have a base trough in which a water level sensor is arranged.
  • the water level sensor responds and thus signals a control of the household appliance that water is leaking or that the water level is too high.
  • the overfill protection device can now respond to this information, for example by stopping a further supply of water to the household appliance and / or indicating to the user that an error has occurred.
  • This procedure is disadvantageous in that the water level sensor only responds after water has already leaked from the working area of the household appliance and drained into the floor pan.
  • a dishwashing machine of the pressure-spray type in which an electrically operated water inlet valve is switched in dependence on a pump outlet pressure.
  • a household electric appliance having a chamber at least partially filled with liquid during operation of the apparatus and a pump driven by a motor for drawing liquid from the chamber.
  • a monitoring device detects the speed and power of the motor, compares the detected values of speed and power with a predetermined characteristic, and signals a state of exception when the comparison reveals that the detected values deviate significantly from the characteristic.
  • the water level is determined and controlled based on the time course of the motor current of the pump motor. It is an object of the invention to provide a water-conducting household appliance, in which leakage of water from the working area of the household appliance - for example in the floor pan - is prevented.
  • the overfill protection device is designed to detect at least one operating parameter of the drain pump and prevents the implementation of a further filling step after the filling step in the presence of a derivable from the at least one operating parameter malfunction of the drain pump.
  • the household appliance thus has at least one pump, which is designed as a drain pump for pumping out liquid from the water-conducting household appliance.
  • the household appliance in at least one filling step liquid, especially water, are supplied.
  • the function of the drain pump is to be monitored and a further filling step of the household appliance to be prevented as soon as a malfunction of the drain pump is detected.
  • the excessively high water level is for example defined in such a way that it is present as soon as liquid exits the domestic appliance into an environment of the household appliance, for example if the base pan of the domestic appliance overflows or already when liquid emerges from the working area.
  • the overfill protection device is provided which detects the at least one operating parameter of the drain pump. It is therefore provided that the overfill protection device, in particular the operating parameters continuously determined and so can determine the malfunction.
  • the overfill protection device may also be provided in addition to an existing overfill protection.
  • the domestic appliance can therefore furthermore have a base tray with a water level detection device, for example a water level sensor.
  • a water level detection device for example a water level sensor.
  • the overfill protection device may also be provided to use only the overfill protection device to prevent the water level is too high to prevent leakage of liquid in the environment of the household appliance.
  • the overfill protection device it is also possible with the overfill protection device to prevent the operation of a filling valve sewage pump and / or circulating pump as soon as the malfunction occurs.
  • the filling valve is adapted to carry water into the household appliance.
  • the wastewater pump can pump waste water out of the household appliance and thus convey it out of it.
  • the circulation pump is intended to circulate the water within the household appliance.
  • the water or the liquid can also contain and / or have any additives, for example cleaning agents and / or rinsing agents.
  • the overfill protection device prevents the implementation of the further filling step when the water-conducting household appliance is put into operation again.
  • restarting it may be the case that after commissioning or switching on the household appliance still no malfunction of the drain pump has occurred. Nevertheless, the implementation of further Greshoes should be prevented.
  • the presence of the malfunction must therefore be known even after restarting the water-conducting household appliance. This can be the case, for example, in that a persistent error state is set as soon as the malfunction of the drain pump is present. This means that the error state is also known after switching off and restarting the household appliance, whereby the implementation of the further filling step can be prevented.
  • the overfill protection device is designed to compare the acquired operating parameters with stored desired values.
  • the overfill protection device thus detects the operating parameters of the drain pump and compares these with the setpoint values.
  • the target values are in the Overfill protection device stored or deposited. If, when comparing the operating parameters with the desired values, a difference is detected which exceeds a defined maximum difference, then the overfill protection device can detect the presence of the malfunction. The implementation of the further filling step can then be prevented.
  • the overfill protection device is designed to detect a current consumption of an electric motor driving the drain pump as the operating parameter. It should therefore be the power consumption of the electric motor, preferably time-dependent, are determined and used to monitor the function of the drain pump. For example, it may mean a decrease in the current consumption of the electric motor, that the connected to the electric motor drain pump idles, so no more liquid transported, from which it can be concluded that no liquid is present in the household appliance. By contrast, a too high power consumption, for example, mean that the drain pump is blocked and thus no pumping of the water takes place. In the latter case, there is a malfunction of the drain pump, so that the further filling step is prevented.
  • the monitoring of the current consumption of the electric motor can also be time-dependent.
  • the course of the power consumption over time is considered in order to detect the malfunction of the drain pump.
  • the integral of the current consumption over time can also be evaluated, so that, for example, the monitoring of the drain pump takes place by considering the total amount of electricity taken up since the start of the drain pump.
  • a development of the invention provides that the drain pump can be driven by an electronically commutated electric motor.
  • the drain pump is rotatably connected to the electric motor and is driven by this.
  • the electric motor is commutated electronically, thus, for example, has a control / regulation, by means of which the commutation is performed.
  • Electronically commutated means that a current flow passes from one branch to another to create a rotating magnetic field that rotates the electric motor.
  • the commutation can also be carried out mechanically, for example by means of a carbon brush and collector.
  • the overfill protection device is designed to detect a commutation of the electric motor as the operating parameter.
  • To monitor the drain pump and the commutation of the electric motor can be monitored. In this way it can be determined, for example, whether the electric motor and thus the drain pump are in rotation or blocked.
  • By monitoring the commutation can also be determined, for example, a current speed of the electric motor and thus the drain pump. Due to this speed can be concluded that the current capacity of the drain pump.
  • a strong decrease in the speed can mean that the drain pump is stiff or blocked and thus a malfunction, the drain pump is present.
  • a high rotational speed or an increase in the rotational speed may mean that there is no water or no liquid in the household appliance. In the case of malfunction also here the implementation of the further filling step should be prevented.
  • a development of the invention provides that the overfill protection device communicates with display means with which the malfunction can be displayed to a user.
  • the malfunction of the drain pump should be displayed to the user of the water-conducting household appliance.
  • the user can respond adequately to the malfunction of the drain pump, for example, notify a maintenance service or perform the necessary actions. These may consist for example of a cleaning of the drain pump.
  • the water-conducting household appliance is set up such that after commissioning of the water-conducting household appliance, the suds pump is in operation.
  • the drain pump can be activated after switching on the household appliance. This can be done for example after switching on or the commissioning of the household appliance to first monitor the function of the drain pump. If a malfunction of the drain pump is detected, then the further filling step can be prevented.
  • the commissioning of the drain pump may also serve to determine if there is liquid in the household appliance.
  • a defined initial state is already established, namely a lower one Water level. This is done by the pumping out of liquid from the water-bearing household appliance by means of the drain pump.
  • the water-conducting household appliance is set up in such a way that after the water-conducting household appliance has been put into operation by the overfill protection device, an error status inquiry can be carried out.
  • the query of the error condition is provided.
  • the error state results, for example, from a previous malfunction of the drain pump.
  • the error state is set in the case of the malfunction of the drain pump.
  • a set fault condition therefore prevents, especially immediately after the startup of the household appliance, the further filling step.
  • the error state is persistent. This means that it is permanently set, so it is not deleted, for example, when the household appliance is switched off.
  • a once set persistent fault condition is still set after switching off and after restarting the household appliance. If the fault condition has already been set after the household appliance has been put into operation, the function of the drain pump need not be monitored, but the further filling step can be prevented directly. Of course, it is also possible to continue to monitor the function of the drain pump in this case.
  • the persistent error state can be manually reset to a non-set state.
  • the overfill protection device is in communication with a water level determination device, in particular a water level sensor.
  • the water level detection device serves to a water level, for example in the bottom tray of the water-conducting household appliance, to investigate. Thus, it can be determined whether the water level of the floor pan makes an imminent leakage of water from the home appliance likely. It is provided that the overfill protection device is in communication with the water level detection device, and that the overfill protection device can prevent the further filling step as soon as the excessively high water level is determined by means of the water level determining device. If electrical devices are arranged in the base pan, then it is advisable to interrupt the water supply due to the water level information determined by the water level determining device before the water reaches the electrical devices.
  • the water level determining device is provided in addition to the overfill protection device and / or formed by this.
  • the water level detecting device is arranged, for example, in the bottom pan of the household appliance.
  • the bottom tray In the bottom tray, water leaking from the work area of the household appliance is collected, which would otherwise leak out of the household appliance, for example, as a result of the malfunction of the drain pump.
  • the bottom tray serves to first receive a certain amount of water before it can be discharged from the household appliance.
  • the bottom tray is designed as leakage protection.
  • the floor pan is usually provided at a low position of the household appliance.
  • the floor pan at least partially forms the lowest point of the household appliance.
  • the invention further relates to a method for operating a water-carrying according to the independent claim.
  • the household appliance thus has the overfill protection device which prevents too high a water level of the household appliance. This is done by the overfill protection device monitoring the function of the drain pump. If the malfunction of the drain pump is detected, the further filling step of the domestic appliance is prevented.
  • the household appliance can be both a dishwasher and a washing machine. In this case, the function of the drain pump is monitored by means of the overfill protection device as described above and optionally prevents the further filling step of the dishwasher or the washing machine.
  • Figure a schematic representation of a water-conducting household appliance.
  • the figure shows a schematic representation of a water-conducting household appliance 1, which is designed as a dishwasher 2.
  • the dishwasher 2 has a working area 3 in which goods to be cleaned or rinsed (not shown) can be arranged.
  • the good is placed in at least one washing basket 4, which is, for example, forward from the work area, so out of the drawing level, extendable.
  • the working area 3 is also referred to as a rinsing container.
  • a pump sump 5 is provided, in which collect in the work area 3 introduced water or the rinsing liquor.
  • a liquor pump 6 and a circulating pump 7 are fluidly connected.
  • liquid can be conveyed out of the pump sump 5 in the direction of a sewage connection 8.
  • the drain pump 6 therefore, liquid can be pumped out of the pump sump 5 or the working area 3, whereby the drain pump 6 serves as a drain pump.
  • the circulation pump 7 the liquid can be supplied from the pump sump at least one feed device 9. About the feeder 9, the liquid is returned to the working area 3 of Dishwasher 2 passed.
  • Both the drain pump 6 and the circulation pump 7 are connected to a control device 10, which also has an overfill protection device 11.
  • the overfill protection device 11 monitors at least one operating parameter of the drain pump 6 and prevents in the presence of a malfunction of the drain pump 6 to carry out a further filling step of the dishwasher 2, in particular by deactivating the circulation pump 7 or preventing further water supply to the domestic appliance 1.
  • the control device 10 is connected to display means 12 or control elements 13 of the dishwasher 2.
  • the operating elements 13 may comprise, for example, a start switch, with which a rinsing process of the dishwasher 2 or a working operation of the household appliance 1 can be started.
  • Display means 12 and operating elements 13 are provided in an operating area 14, which is provided on a housing 15, which is merely indicated in the figure.
  • the overfill protection device 11 detects the malfunction of the drain pump 6, this can be indicated to a user of the dishwasher 2 by means of the display means 12. He can then take appropriate action. In a detection of the malfunction is also the start switch, so the control element 13, blocked or ineffective. This means that a rinsing process of the dishwasher 2 can not be started by means of the operating element 13, but that this is prevented by the control device 10 or the overfill protection device 11.
  • Another filling step ie a further introduction of liquid into the dishwasher 2, can thus only be carried out after the malfunction of the drain pump 6 has been rectified. In this way it is prevented that liquid can escape from the dishwasher 2.
  • the function of the drain pump 6 can also be monitored whether water is in the household appliance 1. If the function of the drain pump 6 is monitored before the appliance 1 water or liquid is supplied, it can be determined whether there is liquid in the household appliance 1. This water can come, for example, from a previous operating cycle of the household appliance 1. Thus, for example, (immediately) can be checked after commissioning of the household appliance 1, whether liquid is present. However, this procedure can also after removing the water from the Household appliance 1 can be used to determine whether the water has been completely removed from the household appliance 1. The removal can be provided for example by pumping by means of the drain pump 6. However, a drainage of the water, so without the use of the drain pump 6, conceivable.
  • Monitoring the function of the drain pump 6 thus allows to determine the current water level of the household appliance 1 insofar as to determine whether there is water in it. In this way, a defined starting position for the at least one filling step is created. It can be provided, for example, to prevent the further filling step, if it is determined that after pumping by means of the drain pump 6 still water in the household appliance 1 is present, so this was not completely pumped / could. In this way, occurrence of too high water level can be effectively prevented.
  • the drain pump 6 can be monitored by means of the overfill protection device 11 or a motor control of an electric motor serving to drive the drain pump 6.
  • the monitoring or the detection of the at least one operating parameter of the drain pump 6 by the overfill protection device 11 can be carried out before and / or during and / or after a program run of the household appliance 1.
  • the program cycle is, for example, the program cycle of a wash program, in the case that the household appliance 1, as shown here, is a dishwasher 2.
  • Program execution thus means the passage through a normal working cycle of the domestic appliance 1.
  • Monitoring of the function of the drain pump 6 can be carried out at any time during the program run of the domestic appliance 1. For example, the function of the drain pump 6 can be monitored or checked before and / or during and / or after the program run.
  • a malfunction of the drain pump 6 is detected before the program run of the household appliance 1, the program run is not started. If the malfunction of the drain pump is diagnosed during the program run, the program run can be aborted. It can be provided that when the malfunction of the drain pump 6 is detected after the program run of the household appliance 1, a persistent error condition is set. In this way, even after switching off or restarting / restarting the Domestic appliance 1, the further filling step or a start of the program run can be prevented.
