Definitions
- a building panel here: Floor panel, the type mentioned is from the EP 1585876 B1 the applicant known.
- the floor panels made according to the state of the art have proven themselves on the market well.
- the construction of the known floor panels ensures an unobstructed displacement in moisture-related dimensional changes in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal side of the floor panel.
- the technical effect is achieved that the locking process of two similar panels is facilitated and a reduction of the displaceability of the panels to each other along their longitudinal sides is achieved while reducing the internal stresses in the connection area.
- floor panel is here understood a plate-shaped structure, which is characterized by a longitudinal side and a narrow side.
- rounded sliding surface can be understood as meaning a cylindrical sliding surface, but also a deviating geometric shape, for example a parabolic or elliptical shape.
- the floor panels according to the invention may be made of wood, wood-based material, plastic or metal, in a solid, ie single-layered or multi-layered design.
- the floor panels can be made of solid wood or of so-called HDF laminate (high density fiberboard) or of MDF laminate (medium density fiberboard) or of other wood-based materials, including wood-material-plastic combinations.
- the invention is particularly directed to versions made of wood.
- Hardwood floors are generally durable and resilient. Decisive feature of a wooden floor is the ability to absorb moisture and release it and as a result swell and dwindle.
- the wood material provides many positive features: air ionization, microclimate control indoors, protection against electrostatic charging and dusting. His antiallergic effect is known.
- the inner wall of the lip may be arranged perpendicularly or obliquely relative to the base surface.
- an oblique arrangement of the inner wall is selected, in which the inner wall is at an acute angle to a plane perpendicular to the base plane or at an obtuse angle (Complementwinkel) to the base surface.
- the inner wall opposite gradation to the trough can be inside or outside a projection of the lateral groove on the base surface.
- the slight play between the projection and the transition of the inner wall to the sliding surface basically occurs in a solid version of the floor panels made of solid wood. This is due to the fact that the running in the longitudinal direction of the floor panel wood fibers are subject to the greatest swelling in moisture.
- the game may have a value between 0.01 mm and 0.20 mm, preferably between 0.12 and 0.15 mm with a panel thickness of 14 mm.
- the wood fibers of the upper and lower layers are basically parallel, whereas those of the middle layer (core layer) are perpendicular to the longitudinal side of the floor panel.
- the swelling of the upper and lower layers occurs perpendicular to the longitudinal side, both in the plane of the plate and perpendicular to the plane of the plate.
- the swelling of the core layer occurs perpendicular to the longitudinal side, but in a direction perpendicular to the base plane and parallel to the longitudinal side in the plane of the plate.
- the latter source direction has practically no influence on dimensional changes of the panel connection.
- the elongated fiber arrangement of the core layer with respect to the source direction of the useful and bottom layers effectively inhibits the swelling force of these two layers.
- the shape of the lip cross-section is selected so that the height dimension of the lip, measured from the base surface, approximately corresponds to a height at which a transition of the gradation is to the groove flank.
- the trough may be flat and / or arcuate.
- the trough is divided into two part-circular regions, of which the area close to the inner wall has a radius which is equal to a radius of the sliding surface.
- the other area of the trough has a radius that exceeds the value of the other radii.
- the contact surface of the projection with the trough or the transition point of the inner wall is limited to the sliding surface to the said linear contact.
- the Brinell hardness of the above listed species is between 43 N / mm 2 (sycamore) and 90 N / mm 2 (sucupir).
- the invention also relates to a surface made of assembled building panels of the type mentioned above.
- the surface covering may be a floor, a wall or ceiling cladding, a facade cladding or a furniture wall.
- top refers to the floor panels laid on a horizontal surface, as these are also shown in the drawing.
- Fig. 1 shows a rectangular floor panel 100, 100 'and 200, 200' in a schematic plan view of its visible surface 11.
- the floor panel 100, 100 'or 200, 200' has two mutually parallel side surfaces 1.1, 2.1 and two perpendicular to the side surface 1.1, 2.1 lying side surfaces 1.2, 2.2, wherein the side surfaces 1.1, 2.1 are arranged on the longitudinal sides and the remaining side surfaces 1.2, 2.2 on the narrow sides of the floor panel.

- at least one pair of interlocking and interlocking locking means integral with each other on the side surfaces of the building panel for detachably connecting similar structural panels to each other, the interlocking means provided on the side surfaces of the building panel forming a positive tongue and groove joint when assembled with similar structural panels;
in which the locking means comprises a trapezoidal groove tapering in the direction of its groove bottom, which has a first (upper) groove flank extending substantially parallel to the viewing surface, one of the first opposing second (lower) inclined flute, wherein the second groove flank merges via a rounded step into a recess, which is lowered relative to the said groove and lies outside the locking means, which recess is arranged on a leg protruding beyond the groove and terminating in a lip, wherein the lip is defined by a plane inner wall and a free, plane-parallel Base area lying surface is limited - and wherein the locking means comprises an equally trapezoidal groove engaging spring which also transitions into a roughly semicircular projection directed towards the base surface for accommodation in said cavity, the semicircular projection joining a recess into which the lip intervenes.
- a) facilitate the locking process of the two similar channels and
- b) to reduce the displaceability of the panels to each other along their longitudinal sides and at the same time to reduce the stresses in the connection area.
- the inner wall of the lip on the one hand to a trough facing and adjoining the free surface of the lip, rounded sliding surface and on the other hand reaches up to a trough edge,
- the trough edge delimits the region of the trough closest to the base surface, from which the trough rises steadily from the trough edge to the rounded step,
- and in which building panel after insertion of the spring into the groove, the projection is housed in the trough such that a zero-approaching clearance is established between the projection and a transition of the inner wall to the sliding surface or a linear contact is formed.
Thus, the technical effect is achieved that the locking process of two similar panels is facilitated and a reduction of the displaceability of the panels to each other along their longitudinal sides is achieved while reducing the internal stresses in the connection area.
In the following text, the term "building panel" is replaced by "floor panel"; However, the invention should also relate to wall or ceiling panels or furniture walls. As a floor panel is here understood a plate-shaped structure, which is characterized by a longitudinal side and a narrow side. The term "rounded sliding surface" can be understood as meaning a cylindrical sliding surface, but also a deviating geometric shape, for example a parabolic or elliptical shape.
The floor panels according to the invention may be made of wood, wood-based material, plastic or metal, in a solid, ie single-layered or multi-layered design. In addition, the floor panels can be made of solid wood or of so-called HDF laminate (high density fiberboard) or of MDF laminate (medium density fiberboard) or of other wood-based materials, including wood-material-plastic combinations.
The invention is particularly directed to versions made of wood. Hardwood floors are generally durable and resilient. Decisive feature of a wooden floor is the ability to absorb moisture and release it and as a result swell and dwindle. The wood material provides many positive features: air ionization, microclimate control indoors, protection against electrostatic charging and dusting. His antiallergic effect is known.
The inner wall of the lip may be arranged perpendicularly or obliquely relative to the base surface. Preferably, however, an oblique arrangement of the inner wall is selected, in which the inner wall is at an acute angle to a plane perpendicular to the base plane or at an obtuse angle (Complementwinkel) to the base surface.
The inner wall opposite gradation to the trough can be inside or outside a projection of the lateral groove on the base surface.
The slight play between the projection and the transition of the inner wall to the sliding surface basically occurs in a solid version of the floor panels made of solid wood. This is due to the fact that the running in the longitudinal direction of the floor panel wood fibers are subject to the greatest swelling in moisture. The game may have a value between 0.01 mm and 0.20 mm, preferably between 0.12 and 0.15 mm with a panel thickness of 14 mm.
The wood fibers of the upper and lower layers (wear layer and ground layer) are basically parallel, whereas those of the middle layer (core layer) are perpendicular to the longitudinal side of the floor panel. As a result, the swelling of the upper and lower layers occurs perpendicular to the longitudinal side, both in the plane of the plate and perpendicular to the plane of the plate.
The swelling of the core layer occurs perpendicular to the longitudinal side, but in a direction perpendicular to the base plane and parallel to the longitudinal side in the plane of the plate. The latter source direction has practically no influence on dimensional changes of the panel connection. The elongated fiber arrangement of the core layer with respect to the source direction of the useful and bottom layers effectively inhibits the swelling force of these two layers.
The shape of the lip cross-section is selected so that the height dimension of the lip, measured from the base surface, approximately corresponds to a height at which a transition of the gradation is to the groove flank.
The trough may be flat and / or arcuate. Preferably, the trough is divided into two part-circular regions, of which the area close to the inner wall has a radius which is equal to a radius of the sliding surface. The other area of the trough has a radius that exceeds the value of the other radii.
It is particularly advantageous that the contact surface of the projection with the trough or the transition point of the inner wall is limited to the sliding surface to the said linear contact. As a result, the mobility of the floor panels is significantly improved both during and after their installation.
It is advantageous that the stresses normally occurring at least on the long sides of the new panel construction and the possible concave bulges on the wear layer in the region of the abutting surfaces can be avoided or greatly limited.
