- Fig. 7a shows a horizontal section of the damping device 10 in a perspective view, based on the principle of operation of the damping device 10 is to be explained.
- a first fluid chamber 16 in which a first piston 16a is guided linearly displaceable.
- the damping device 10 is designed as a fluid damper, wherein the first fluid chamber 16 is filled with a damping fluid (for example, a liquid, an oil or, in the case of a corresponding size, also with air).
- a seal 17a seals the first piston 16a from the inner wall of the first fluid chamber 16.
- the first fluid chamber 16 is associated with a return mechanism 18a in the form of a spring, which moves the piston 16a after a successful damping stroke back into a position provided for the next damping stroke.
- the return mechanism 18 a can also be arranged outside the fluid chamber 16.
- the slider 11 a is preferably integrally connected to the first piston 16 a, so that a movement of the slider 11 a simultaneously leads to a dipping of the first piston 16 a in the first fluid chamber 16.
- the arranged in the second fluid chamber 21 device 25 for changing the volume in this second fluid chamber 21 comprises in the illustrated embodiment, a displaceable piston 21 a, through which the volume of the second fluid chamber 21 is variable during the inflow or outflow of damping fluid.
- the damping fluid By pressing the first piston 16a into the fluid chamber 16, the damping fluid is forced through the channel 19 and through a passage opening 20a of a switching blade 20 into the second fluid chamber 21.
- the seal 17b seals the piston 21a from the second fluid chamber 21.
- the second piston 21a By pressing the damping fluid from the first fluid chamber 16 into the second fluid chamber 21, the second piston 21a is also displaced into a rear end position.
- the damping fluid is located exclusively between the first piston 16 a and the second piston 21 a.
- the direction of movement A of the first piston 16a is transverse relative to the direction of movement B of the second piston 21a.
- the direction of movement A of the first piston 16a includes with the direction of movement B of the second piston 21a an angle ⁇ , which is preferably between 70 ° and 110 °.
- the directions of movement A and B of the first piston 16 a and the second piston 21 a run perpendicular to each other.
- the directions of movement A, B can also be parallel spaced from each
- Fig. 7b shows the fully inserted into the first fluid chamber 16 first piston 16a, ie that the damping process is already completed.
- the existing in the first fluid chamber 16 damping fluid was pressed through the passage 19, through the passage opening 20 a of the switching blade 20 and through the flow passage 22 a in the second fluid chamber 21, whereupon the second piston 21 a was shifted within the second fluid chamber 21 in the rear end position shown.
- the size of the passage opening 20a of the switching blade 20 increases with increasing pressurization by the damping fluid, whereby the flow cross-section of the passage opening 20a is increased.
- the switching blade 20 is preferably made of rubber-elastic material.
- Fig. 7c the two pistons 16a, 21a were partially restored by the two return mechanisms 18a, 18b, so that the pistons 16a, 21a are again in the direction of the in Fig. 7a shown standby position.
- the return mechanism 18b thus moves the second piston 21a in the opposite direction again, wherein the damping fluid present in the second fluid chamber 21 can flow back through both through-flow openings 22a and 22b.
- the switching blade 20 was - starting from the in Fig. 7b shown in a first position (in which the damping fluid flows exclusively through the passage opening 20a in the second fluid chamber 21) in a Fig.
- the switching blade 20 thus assumes a triple function, namely a) for pressure build-up of the damping medium in the first fluid chamber 16, b) for overload protection by radial expansion of the passage opening 20, so that the flow cross-section is increased and c) to the damper return by lifting the switching blade 20 of the flow openings 22a and 22b.
- the piston surface of the first piston 16a and the piston surface of the second piston 21a have the same effective piston area.
- the effective piston area of the first piston 16a and that of the second piston 21a it is also possible to design the effective piston area of the first piston 16a and that of the second piston 21a to be of different sizes, so that a displacement reduction of the second piston 21a can be brought about.
- the effective piston area of the second piston 21a is selected larger than the effective piston area of the first piston 16a, then a damping stroke of the first piston 16a also leads to a reduced damping stroke of the second piston 21a. Due to the reduced damping stroke of the second piston 21 a, if appropriate, the length of the second fluid chamber 21 and thus the size of the housing 10 a can be reduced.
- Fig. 8a shows an alternative embodiment of a damping device 10.
- a slider 11 a is provided, which is integrally connected to the first piston 16 a, so that during the damping stroke of the first piston 16 a is immersed in the first fluid chamber 16.
- a seal 17a seals the first piston 16a from the first fluid chamber 16.
- the damping fluid displaced by the first piston 16a can flow via the passage opening 20a of the switching disk 20 and through the throughflow opening 22a into the second fluid chamber 21.
- the device 25 arranged in the second fluid chamber 21 comprises a compressible, viable piece of material, by means of which the volume of the second fluid chamber 21 can be changed during the inflow or outflow of damping fluid.
- Fig. 8a is the first Piston 16a shown in a standby position for the damping stroke.
- Fig. 8b For example, by forcing the first piston 16a into the first fluid chamber 16, the damping fluid was forced into the second fluid chamber 25 via the pathways described above, thereby deforming the device 25 and increasing the volume of the second fluid chamber 21.
- the slide 11a is no longer acted upon by the articulated lever 7 of the furniture hinge 4, the first piston 16a of the first fluid chamber 16 by the return mechanism 18a back into the in Fig.
- the device 25 may comprise a compressible piece of material (eg a TPU plastic part or a sponge rubber).
- the device 25 may also include a second piston 21a as previously described, which is slidably mounted within the second fluid chamber 21.
- Fig. 9a and Fig. 9b show a possible embodiment, as the furniture hinge 4 also later (ie already ex works or by a user) can be equipped with a damping device 10.
- the body-side stop member 5 and the door-side stop member 6 is shown with the hinge cup 6a, which is pivotally connected via the hinge lever 7 with the body-side stop member 5.

Object of the present invention is to propose a furniture hinge of the type mentioned, wherein the damping device is space-saving, efficient and retrofittable.
This is inventively achieved by a furniture hinge with the features of the
By the definition "insertable from above into the hinge cup" is meant the insertion of the housing of the damping device in a direction of movement which runs essentially perpendicular to the bottom of the hinge cup.
The proposed invention, it is possible to completely arrange the housing of the damping device within the hinge cup, wherein the housing preferably does not protrude beyond the hinge cup in this mounting position, ie the entire assembly of the damping device in the assembled state completely between the bottom of the hinge cup and the is formed by the hinge cup opening formed plane. Via the first and second fastening means, the housing of the damping device can be mounted relative to the hinge cup and disassembled from this. It is therefore envisaged that the housing of the damping device by the first and the second fastening means in the hinge cup detachable fastened, preferably without tools mounted and preferably without tools can be removed, is.
The damping device may comprise a slide which can be moved relative to the housing, wherein the first fastening means are formed on the slide, so that the housing of the damping device can be detachably connected to the hinge cup indirectly via the slide.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention can be provided that the first and second fastening means are designed as self-locking latching connection. Such a latching connection allows the automatic latching between the housing of the damping device and the hinge cup in the course of the introduction of the housing in the hinge cup, without requiring additional locking means must be actuated by the user for fixing. The first and second fastening means can jointly form a snap connection, so that the damping device can be clipped into the hinge cup as a closed structural unit. The first fastening means comprise at least one movable or movable locking element, by means of which the housing can be fixed relative to the hinge cup. An expedient embodiment is characterized in that the locking element is resilient, wherein the connection between the first and second fastening means by pressure against the resilient action of the locking element is releasable.
The locking element is arranged on the housing of the damping device and engages in the mounting position in an opening or at a latching edge of the hinge cup.
It is envisaged that the first and second attachment means between the housing of the damping device and a side wall of the hinge cup are effective. In addition, it may also be possible that the first and second fastening means between the housing of the damping device and the bottom of the hinge cup or a hinge cup associated support member (in particular a mounting pin) are effective.
The mounting pin can extend at least in sections within the hinge cup, wherein the mounting pin has a recess which is provided for receiving the housing of the damping device - in particular for receiving and guiding a linearly movable slide of the damping device.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention can be provided that the housing has a peripheral surface whose shape is partially adapted to the inner shape of the hinge cup. In other words, the outer shape and size of the housing of the damping device is adapted to the shape and size of the interior of the hinge cup. As a result, a defined pre-positioning of the housing is possible, after positioning the first and second fastening means are connected to each other, wherein the housing of the damping device is positively and / or non-positively fixed relative to the hinge cup. By fitting the hinge cup contour of the housing of the damping device this is in mounting position mostly directly on the inner wall of the hinge cup, the arrangement within the hinge cup in a visually very inconspicuous manner and the risk of dirt deposits between the housing of the damping device and the inner wall of the hinge cup is reduced.
For easy disassembly of the damping device relative to the hinge cup, a release member may be provided, through which the connection between the first and second fastening means is releasable, whereupon the housing of the damping device is removable from the hinge cup. It may be advantageous if the release part is arranged on the housing of the damping device. The release part can be manually and / or be moved by means of a tool in a release position, whereby the housing of the damping device is removable from the hinge cup.
By the first and second fastening means existing hinge assemblies can be retrofitted with a damping device later, the retrofitting can already be done in the factory. In an already factory-mounted attachment of the damping device existing production lines can be maintained, so that the attachment of the damping device requires only a very small effort required. Of course, by a user subsequent assembly and / or disassembly of the damping device can be made to existing hinge assemblies. The damping device can also be inserted into the hinge cup and can be fixed relative to the hinge cup via the first and second fastening means when the hinge lever of the hinge is hinged to the hinge cup.

By pressing the

According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the piston surface of the
