Definitions
- the invention relates to a warhead according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a warhead is known from JP 2007 - 225 215 A known.
- the US 5 540 156 A , the DE 36 25 996 A1 and the DE 10 2006 018 687 A1 describe similar warheads.
- a projectile-forming explosive charge belongs to the type of shaped charge. Unlike a "classic" hollow charge, which forms a long, pointed metal spike by cold deformation of a usually conical metal occupancy, forms a projectile-forming explosive charge by the cold deformation of a mostly parabolic metal occupancy of a single projectile.
- a warhead comprising such a projectile-forming explosive charge is usually also ignited a little earlier based on the impact time at the target as a warhead with a conventional hollow charge.
- the projectile formation is expedient and consequently a warhead comprising such a projectile-forming explosive charge can be used. Rather, a use of a projectile or missile with a type of other explosive charge situation-appropriate would be appropriate, such as a fragmentation charge.
- the invention has for its object to ensure a switchability of the warhead of the projectile-forming function in a fragment-forming function easily and safely.
- the warhead there is basically the possibility of being able to use it not only in a projectile-forming function, but if necessary also in a fragment-forming function, ie, that the warhead can be ignited in two different modes.
- a splitter orifice is provided which, if required, ie when a fragment-forming function is desired instead of the projectile-forming function, can be brought before the metal coating.
- the explosive ignited it comes to the usual cold deformation of the metal coating.
- a projectile formation is avoided, however, because the deforming metal is moved at high speed against the diaphragm, where or through which the metal coating is torn, so splintered. That is, the detonation does not transform the metal occupancy into a single projectile but into a plurality of discrete, scattering fragments.
- the warhead is thus advantageously switchable in its functionality, that is variable, so that its application is expanded.
- the diaphragm has in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least in its functional position, a grid-like shape, wherein the fragment size by the shape or size of the openings, so the grid holes, defined or can be adjusted.
- the panel itself according to the invention consists of several separately on the warhead housing movably mounted aperture sections, which are designed as strut-like components. These diaphragm sections are movably arranged on the warhead housing, so they can be moved between two positions, namely a rest position and a functional position, they do not affect the projectile formation in the rest position, if it comes to the ignition, while in the functional position their aperture function and the resulting their Exercise fragmentation function.
- the individual panel sections, which are designed as strut-like components complement each other in the functional position to a grid-like shape, d. h., That the outlet cross-section respectively the warhead housing cross section is structured before the metal occupancy by the grid-like aperture.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the diaphragm sections are each mounted pivotably about a pivot axis on the warhead housing. That is to say that the diaphragm sections can be pivoted from the rest position in which they are located outside the movement zone of the projectile and the functional position in which they are pivoted inwardly into the movement path of the projectile.
- the respective pivot axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the warhead housing.
- the invention further provides that the strut-like components have a substantially corresponding to the inner circumference of the warhead housing corresponding curved shape and rest in the rest position on the inner circumference of the warhead housing.
- the panel sections are thus executed quasi wing-like and slightly curved shaped, so that they create in the rest position flat on the inner circumference of the warhead housing.
- each diaphragm section is fixed against a built-up by means of a spring element restoring force by means of a releasable locking element in its rest position and upon release of the locking element automatically swing into the functional position.
- Each diaphragm section is thus subjected to a restoring force that builds up a spring element assigned to it. This restoring force basically forces him into the functional position.
- each diaphragm section is fixed by a locking element, which holds it, for example, in its resting on the inner circumference of the warhead housing rest position.
- a coil spring often called a torsion spring
- a leaf spring can be used as a spring element, which is mounted on the one hand on the diaphragm section and on the other hand on the warhead housing.
- a leaf spring can be used as a spring element, which is mounted on the one hand on the diaphragm section and on the other hand on the warhead housing.
- This spring is stretched when moving in the rest position, so the restoring force built. If the diaphragm section is released via the locking element, the spring can relax over which the diaphragm section is moved into the functional position.
- a particularly rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the warhead housing ring can be used with acting on the diaphragm sections locking projections, as by means of such a ring on the one hand all the aperture sections can be locked together, but on the other hand, by turning the ring all aperture sections can be shared.
- This rotatable ring is adjacent to the aperture portions of the warhead housing and rotatably mounted so that it can be easily positioned on the one hand, on the other hand, can be moved.
- a movable bolt or the like may also be associated with each diaphragm section as the locking element.
- Such a bolt would move axially, but is also adjustable between a locking and a release position.
- each locking element - so it is the rotatably mounted ring or the individual bolts - can be automatically actuated by an electrically controllable solvent, so are automatically solvable.
- the ring can therefore be turned over a suitable solvent a short distance, for example via an electric motor which is coupled to the ring, for example via a pull rope or a tie rod or directly via an output shaft.
- the electric motor is controlled via the central control device, which also controls the securing and firing device of the warhead and consequently all warhead functions, and moves via the movement coupling the ring so that it releases the diaphragm sections.
- each bolt z. B.
- Fig. 1 shows a partial view in perspective view of a warhead 1 according to the invention consisting of a warhead housing 2 with a first warhead housing section 3, in which a projectile-forming explosive charge 4 is arranged.
- the first warhead housing section 3 is adjoined by a second warhead housing section 5, in which a panel 6 is provided.
- At the warhead housing section 5 further includes a third warhead housing section 7, on which in the illustrated embodiment, the locking element 8 is provided.
- the projectile-forming explosive charge 4 consists of the actual explosive 9, which can be ignited via an igniter, not shown here, controlled by an electronic control system.
- a metal coating 10 which is shown here planar, but may equally parabolic in shape. This metal occupancy may consist, for example, of tungsten or steel. If the explosive 9 ignited, so there is a detonation-related deformation of the metal occupancy 10, which, depending on whether the Aperture 6 in the in Fig. 1 shown function position is brought or not, either deformed as a projectile, or is fragmented on the aperture 6.
- the diaphragm 6 itself consists of several individual strut-shaped, rectangular diaphragm sections 11, see in particular the 3 and 4 that, see Fig. 5 , wing-like and bent are executed. They are pivotally mounted on the warhead housing 2, in this case the warhead housing section 5, for which purpose a bolt 12 is provided, on which the respective panel sections 6 are fastened.
- This bolt 12, which forms the pivot axis, is received in a suitable recess 13 on the warhead housing 2 and with a spring element 14 (see Fig. 4 where the spring elements are shown in phantom) connected in the in Fig. 5 shown groove of the bolt 12 is added.
- These spring elements 14 are biased when the individual diaphragm sections 11 are moved to the rest position, as in Fig.
- the individual spring elements 14 for example, torsion springs, coil springs or leaf springs, in the movement from the functional position (see Fig. 1 . 3 and 4 ) in the rest position ( Fig. 2 ) biased, so they build a restoring force that urges the respective aperture portion in the functional position.
- the locking element 8 is provided, which, see Fig.
- a rotatable ring 15 which is rotatably mounted on the inner circumference of the warhead housing 2, here the warhead housing section 7, so movably received.
- On the ring 16 a plurality of axially extending locking projections 16 are provided, see Fig. 2 , the respective aperture portion 11 overlap in the region of its front, freely movable end, so that it is fixed in position.
- the ring 15 is connected to an automatic solvent, not shown in detail, for example, an electric motor, via a mechanical movement coupling, so that it moves over this electric motor, so it can be rotated.
- the electric motor is in turn controlled by the central control device, which is not shown here in detail, but controls the entire fuse and ignition mechanism.
- the diaphragm sections are in the rest position, as in Fig. 2 is shown. They are about the rotatable ring 15 respectively Arresting projection 16 fixed. If the projectile-forming explosive charge 4 is ignited in this position, cold deformation of the metal occupation 10, that is to say the covering, which deforms to form a projectile, occurs.
- the diaphragm 6 is brought before the metal coating 10.
- the solvent not shown in detail, so for example, the electric motor, driven, over which the ring 15 is moved a short distance, as indicated by the arrow P in Fig. 2 is shown. It is rotated about the warhead longitudinal axis, wherein the rotation is required only by a short distance, namely, until the locking projections 16 no longer engage over the diaphragm sections 11 and consequently no longer lock but release.
- This position is in Fig. 3 shown.
- the release causes the spring elements 14, which are biased to move the individual panel sections from its rest position in the cross section, so swing inward and thus move in front of the metal coating 10. In their final position, see the 3 and 4 the inwardly pivoted aperture portions 11 form a grid-like shape.
- the metal occupation 10 When the projectile-forming explosive charge 4 is ignited, the metal occupation 10 is deformed, but this is moved with great force against the diaphragm sections 11, which leads to the fragmentation of the deformed metal occupation 10.
- the fragmentation effect or the fragment size is deformed by the number of diaphragm sections. While six diaphragm sections 11 are provided in the example shown, it is of course also conceivable to realize even more diaphragm sections, which in the rest position can also overlap one another radially.
- the panel sections themselves are made of a material of the highest possible density, they must also have a sufficient axial length (ie width), so that the metal coating 10 is also completely split.
- the functionality of the warhead 1 can consequently be switched in a simple manner from a projectile-forming function to a fragment-forming function.
- This is preferably done automatically by the locking element 8 is controlled electronically, as described above.
- a mechanical movement of the locking element for releasing conceivable by the rotary ring 15 is rotated in a simple manner by hand, before the projectile or the missile is fired.

Description
JP 2007 - 225 215 A US 5 540 156 A , dieDE 36 25 996 A1 und dieDE 10 2006 018 687 A1 beschreiben ähnliche Gefechtsköpfe.

Fig. 2 gezeigt ist.
Fig. 2 gezeigt ist.
