Definitions

  • the invention relates to an element for attaching a boot to a gliding board, such as an abutment or heel piece of a fixing device, which is particularly suitable for adjusting its longitudinal position on a gliding board. It is particularly adapted to a stop and / or a heel of a ski boot fastening device, allowing the longitudinal adjustment of the stop and / or the heel. It also relates to a shoe attachment device and a gliding board comprising such a fixing device. Finally, it also relates to a method of mounting such a fastener.
  • a device for attaching a ski boot is intended to secure the ski boot of a skier on a ski. It comprises two fixing elements, a front stop which allows to block the front of the shoe and a rear heel whose jaw is cooperating with a rear sidewalk of the sole of the ski boot.
  • a current solution of the state of the art is based firstly on an element positioned on the ski having guide rails and a toothed portion, and secondly on slides and a complementary toothed portion of the heel or of the stop.
  • the two complementary toothed parts can be nested and block the longitudinal movement of the heel or stop in the rails of the ski in a first blocking configuration for the practice of skiing.
  • a means for releasing these toothed portions makes it possible to move the heel piece or stop relative to the ski for adjusting its position, in a second setting configuration.
  • crankshaft is rotatably mounted on the fixing element and can act on a toothed bar, enabling it to occupy a low position in which it cooperates with the toothed part connected to the ski so as to prevent any movement of the fixing element and a second high position in which the fixing element is released from this toothed part and movable in a longitudinal direction.
  • This solution has the disadvantage of a great complexity due to the use of a bar which must be integrated within the fastener movably along an axis of rotation.
  • it requires a complex fastener to provide the volume necessary for the bar, and a method of mounting the bar within this fastener element is user friendly.
  • the crankshaft also has a complex shape.
  • the two elements used, the bar and the crankshaft require the use of a metallic material, which is expensive and complex to manufacture.
  • the document FR2906155 discloses another solution in which a latch is mounted movable in vertical translation within the fastener. The operation of this lock for performing a setting of the position of the fastener requires the use of a tool.
  • a general object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable fastening element on a gliding board which does not have the above disadvantages. More specifically, the invention seeks to achieve all or part of the following objects.
  • a first object of the invention to provide an adjustable fastening element on a gliding board, stop or heel type, whose adjustment is user-friendly and easy to implement in all conditions.
  • a second object of the invention is to provide an aesthetically adjustable fastening element.
  • a third object of the invention is to provide a space-saving adjustable fastening element.
  • a fourth object of the invention is to provide an adjustable fastening element for secure attachment.
  • a fifth object of the invention is to provide an inexpensive adjustable fastening element.
  • the invention is based on a fastening element of a device for attaching a boot to a gliding board such as a ski, comprising a notching part, characterized in that it comprises a lever co-operating with the camming member by a cam, so that the actuation of the lever allows the positioning of the notching part in two high and low positions respectively corresponding to a setting configuration and blocking of the fastening element on the gliding board .
  • the notch member has a transversely extending aperture, traversed by an axis of the lever, which axis of the lever has a camming portion cooperating with the inner surface of the opening of the notch member.
  • the invention also relates to a device for attaching a boot to a gliding board, comprising an abutment and a heel piece, characterized in that the abutment and / or the heel piece is as described above, in particular for fastening a shoe on a ski.
  • the invention also relates to a ski characterized in that it comprises a stop or a heel as described above.
  • the longitudinal direction for the horizontal direction in the direction of the length of the ski, from the rear to the front, the transverse direction for the horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
  • the vertical direction is perpendicular to the other two directions and upward.
  • the Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a stop for fixing a ski boot according to a first embodiment of the invention.
  • the abutment comprises a main upper body 10 comprising the trigger mechanism of the abutment and comprising in its rear part two jaws 11 adapted to the grip of the front portion of a ski boot, in a known manner.
  • the abutment further comprises in its lower part a base 13 whose bottom surface forms slides 14 adapted to correspond with corresponding slides integral with the ski, in a known manner.
  • the base 13 of the abutment comprises on its upper surface a shoe support plate 12 in the rear zone of the abutment, adapted to receive the anterior sole of a ski boot when its front sidewalk is housed under the jaws 11.
  • the abutment comprises a mechanism for adjusting its positioning actuated by means of a lever 20, manually actuable by a gripping member 23, rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation transverse disposed under the jaws 11 at the base 13 of the stop.
  • This lever 20 acts by a cam on a notch member 30 movable in vertical translation within the stop, as will be detailed later.
  • the stop is adapted to attach to a ski 1 by means of an arrangement positioned on the ski as shown in FIG. figure 5 , which comprises a connection base 3 comprising laterally arranged slides 2 and a longitudinal plate 4 positioned in its central part and comprising a toothed part 5 comprising two parallel series of teeth. These series of teeth extend in the longitudinal direction, according to the direction of the ski.
  • This arrangement of receiving the stop on the ski is illustrated by way of example but may have any other configuration of the state of the art.
  • the figure 1 illustrates the stop in a locking configuration, in which the modification of its positioning on a ski is impossible.
  • the notch member 30 is in its lower position in which its lower toothed portion 35 extends below the bottom surface of the abutment 13 of the abutment so that it can cooperate with the corresponding toothed portion 5 connected to the ski, that is to say in a configuration where the teeth of the toothed portion 35 are housed between the teeth 5 positioned on the ski, so as to lock the position of the stop on the ski.
  • This configuration of the stop allows the practice of skiing.
  • FIGs 3 and 4 instead illustrate the abutment in a setting configuration, in which the gripping member 23 of the lever 20 is raised, following a rotation which drives up the notch member 30 so that its toothed portion 35 escapes any right of way with the toothed portion 5 positioned on the ski.
  • the figure 4 there is the upper part of the notch member 30 which extends above the base 13 of the stop while its toothed portion is retracted into the base 13 of the stop.
  • the stop is free in translation on a ski, which allows the adjustment of its positioning on the ski, by its movement along the slides.
  • the gripping member 23 of the lever 20 abuts against a jaw 11 in this configuration, which ensures its good position and avoids any damage that could be obtained by too great a rotational force.
  • the figure 6 represents the lever 20 according to the embodiment of the invention. It comprises a gripping member 23 on a first end and a fastening means 24 of type by clipping on its second end.
  • This fastening means 24 allows attachment to an opening 15 formed in the side portion of the base 13 of the abutment opposite the housing of the gripping member 23, while allowing its rotational movement.
  • the lever 20 further comprises a transverse axis 21, intended to extend over the width of the stop between the gripping member 23 and the fastening means 24, and can be rotated around itself by the actuation of the gripping member 23.
  • the axis 21 further comprises an area of greater thickness in its central portion, extending asymmetrically with respect to the axis of rotation of the lever, so as to form a cam 22 adapted to cooperate with the notch part 30 as will be detailed later.
  • the cam 22 has a groove 26 in its central part whose function is to ensure a transverse retention of the lever 20.
  • the axis 21 comprises three zones of different thicknesses along its length, representing three zones of different mechanical strength: an extreme zone of smaller thickness towards its end 24, beyond the cam 22, a zone of greater thickness at level of the cam 22, and a region of intermediate thickness between the gripping member 23 and the cam 22, which allows the lever 20 to withstand all the forces experienced during its actuation.
  • the figure 7 illustrates the notch part 30 according to the embodiment of the invention. It comprises a toothed portion 35 in its lower zone and an upper portion 31 comprising an opening 32 therethrough transversely, intended to cooperate with the lever 20, as will be explained later.
  • the cross-section along a longitudinal plane of the opening 32 has a rectangular shape whose length is at least as large as the length of the axis 21 at the cam 22, as is visible for example at the figure 10 .
  • This rectangle section is thus longer than it is tall.
  • the toothed portion 35 comprises in fact two sets of parallel teeth which are able to cooperate with the corresponding teeth mounted on the ski. Alternatively, a single set of teeth could be suitable.
  • this connection could have any other configuration based on teeth, notches, pins ...
  • a tongue 36 is positioned in an upper angle of the opening 32, so as to be housed within the groove 26 of the lever, ensuring its good positioning and reinforcing its lateral support.
  • the notch member 30 comprises two locations 33 for receiving a resilient means within the abutment, not shown, which exerts a downward force stress tending to maintain the notching part in its lower position and the stop in the blocking configuration.
  • the notch part 30 comprises vertical walls 34 front and rear which serve to guide its displacement in vertical translation within the abutment.
  • the Figures 8 to 10 represent the cooperation of the lever 20 and the notch member 30.
  • the axis 21 of the lever 20 extends through the opening 32 of the notch member 30.
  • these two elements are in a position relative which corresponds to the blocking configuration of the stop.
  • the notch member 30 is in its lowest position and the lever 20 is such that the gripping member 23 is in a horizontal position.
  • the region of greater cam thickness 22 of the axis 21 of the lever is in a horizontal position and is in the upper part of the opening 32 of the notch part 30.
  • the transition from the locking configuration to the adjustment configuration of the stop is obtained by the rotation of the lever 20 via its gripping member 23.
  • This rotation induces a vertical translation upwardly of the notching member 30 by the cooperation of the cam 22 of the lever with the upper inner surface of the opening 32 of the notching part.
  • the figure 11 illustrates the relative position of the two elements 20, 30 in this final setting configuration.
  • the area of greater cam thickness 22 of the axis 21 of the lever 20 is now inclined upwards, at an inclination defined by the rotation of the lever, of about 45 degrees, preferably between 30 and 60 degrees.
  • the upper surface of the opening 32 of the notch member 30 is now supported on this upper portion of the cam 22 of the lever, in a higher position.
  • the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above.
  • the cam type cooperation between the lever 20 and the notch member 30 respectively could be based on components having a completely different shape allowing the notch member 30 to be displaced vertically by the rotation of the lever 20.
  • this function of cam is obtained by an asymmetrical distribution of material around the axis 21 of rotation of the lever, as shown in the embodiment described.
  • the embodiment described above is advantageous in that the lever 20 on the one hand and the notch part 30 on the other hand have suitable shapes for their manufacture in one piece monolithic plastic material.
  • these two elements can be manufactured at low cost by a process of injection of plastic material.
  • the invention is naturally not limited to the materials used and it is possible to envisage any other structure than that described, the combination of several distinct sub-elements, the use of any other material such as metal or a reinforced plastic by fibers.
  • the invention also relates to a method of mounting the fastener of a shoe on a gliding board.
  • a first step of the mounting method of the abutment according to the first embodiment of the invention described above is the positioning of the notch member 30 in its housing within the abutment by its insertion from above or from below .
  • the figure 12 illustrates such a step.
  • This first step ends with the positioning in the high position of the notch member 30 within the abutment, as represented by FIG. figure 13 .
  • This high position which is opposed to the resilient means of return of the notching part downwards, is implemented either automatically, using a robot, or manually or almost manually.
  • the second step of the abutment mounting method consists of the insertion of the axis 21 of the lever 20 in the transverse direction through the base 13 of the abutment and then through the opening 32 of the notch piece 30, until its end 24 is housed in the opening 15 arranged within the base 13 of the stop.
  • the lever 20 is maintained in its horizontal orientation corresponding to that occupied in the blocking configuration of the stop.
  • the axis 21 passes through the lower part of the opening 32 of the notch member 30, which is always held in its upper position, as is particularly visible on the figure 15 .
  • This step allows the positioning of the axis 21 of the lever 20 in its position transverse to the stop.
  • the notch member 30 is released and automatically descends under the effect of the elastic return means to its final position as represented for example by on the figure 9 .
  • the tongue 36 formed in the opening 32 of the notch member 30 is housed in the groove 26 provided in the cam 22 of the lever 20, thereby achieving the transverse locking of the lever 20 relative to the stop.
  • the invention also relates to the disassembly process, which comprises a prior step of release, here declippage, of the end 24 of the lever 20 of the base 13 of the abutment, and the reverse stages that those performed during of its assembly.
  • the invention has been illustrated in the context of the adjustable attachment in the longitudinal direction of a stop of a shoe attachment device on a ski. It could, however, be implemented for fixing the heel of the shoe attachment device, or for fixing any shoe attachment element on a gliding board, including snowboard for example.
  • Figures 16 to 18 represent a second embodiment adapted to a heel of a fastening device of a ski boot.
  • lever 40 and notch member 50 are shown.
  • the lever 40 of this second embodiment differs mainly from that of the first mode execution by its action on the notching part. Indeed, this lever 40 always comprises a gripping member 43 which allows its rotation, around an axis 41 comprising a central portion 42 away from the axis 41 by two elbows, in order to act on the part notching to induce its vertical movement.
  • the notching member 50 likewise has a lower toothed portion 55 and a transverse opening 52 whose inner surface cooperates with the central portion 42 of the lever.
  • This opening 52 differs from that of the notching part of the first embodiment in that it has a longitudinal lumen-shaped section, of length greater than the thickness of the axis 21 of the lever 20 to allow a longitudinal displacement of the lever 40 relative to the notching member 50 in blocking configuration. This allows to fulfill the function of retreating a heel of a ski binding device when the heel is secured to a ski.
  • the lever 40 could have a cam similar to the embodiment described above.
