Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain fitting in particular for showers or bathtubs, with a drain housing having an accessible from an upper inlet opening forth interior, an integrally formed on the drain housing drain pipe, an overflow edge defining housing wall between the interior and the outlet nozzle, and a in the Drain housing used, from the same removable, forming part of a smell trap dip tube, wherein in the housing wall, an opening is formed, which is closed by a removable plug, which has a grip element accessible from the interior.
- the known drain fitting consists of a housing provided with an inflow opening, a drain neck and a mounting flange and an inserted into the housing, the inflow limiting, forming part of an odor trap dip tube.
- the housing has a drain channel surrounding the odor trap, which is delimited at the top by a housing wall and whose bottom is inclined towards the outlet nozzle.
- the mounting flange is arranged offset from the upper housing wall down, so that the upper housing part of the drain fitting is disposed within the recess of the tub.
- the flow cross section of the drainage channel can be dimensioned relatively large, although at the same time the overall height of the drain fitting is kept small below the shower tray.
- the immersion tube can be removed from the housing in order to be able to remove these from the drain fitting in the event of accumulated in the drain set impurities.
- An access to the drain pipe from the tub forth is hardly possible or only with special cleaning tools with mounted housing because of the odor trap limiting housing wall part.
- a waste set of the type mentioned is from the DE 10 2006 053 751 A1 known.
- the opening formed in the housing wall (partition wall) and closed by a removable stopper serves as a cleaning opening. If necessary, a flexible cleaning spiral can be guided through this opening, which can then be advanced into the outlet pipe and introduced from there into the secondary pipe.
- the stopper can be fixed in a locking or clamping manner in the cleaning opening of the dividing wall, wherein the surface of the stopper runs essentially flush with the surface of the dividing wall. This is to ensure that the flow cross-section and the type of flow control when using the drain fitting is not affected.
- the stopper has in its central region a handle formed by two depressions on which one can attack with a tool.
- the gripping of the gripping device with a tool is difficult, especially since the upper inlet opening of the drain housing is relatively small. Furthermore, it may in the pop-up according to the DE 10 2006 053 751 A1 come to an impairment or even a failure of the odor trap. Because to clean clogged drains are often used suction cups, colloquially Also referred to as "rubber pools". When using a suction cup for cleaning the waste according to DE 10 2006 053 751 A1 there is a risk that the plug is moved unnoticed from its closed position towards the interior of the drain body, so that the sealing effect of the plug is lost.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a drain fitting of the type mentioned, which provides optimum accessibility of the drain nozzle in the assembled state, allows easy cleaning and ensures proper sealing function of the plug.
- the waste fitting according to the invention is characterized in that the plug inserted into the opening is held in the closed position by the immersion tube inserted into the drain housing.
- the plug is thus fixed in the inserted state by the dip tube. Therefore, even when using a suction cup for cleaning the drain fitting and the drain line connected thereto, it remains securely arranged in the cleaning opening formed in the housing wall and seals it reliably.
- the plug can also be easily removed from the opening even after removal of the dip tube to clean if necessary, the drain pipe and the secondary drain line by means of a flexible spiral or a pressurized water flushing hose.
- An advantageous embodiment of the drain assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the plug as Rotary stopper is formed, wherein the opening is provided with locking means for a rotational locking connection of the plug.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the drain fitting according to the invention is that the grip element of the plug protrudes into the interior of the drain housing.
- the handle element and thus the stopper can be very good grip.
- the handle element is thereby better visible after removal of the dip tube from the tub or at least better tactile.
- a further preferred embodiment is characterized in that the longitudinal extent of the grip element is greater than the inner diameter of the closed by the stopper opening. This ensures that the stopper can not be pushed through the opening in the direction of the drain neck.
- a development of the invention provides that the grip element of the plug is designed in the form of a plate-shaped web which extends in the closed position of the plug substantially vertically along the housing wall having the opening.
- the grip element can not only be particularly well taken in this case, it is also aerodynamically shaped so that it can not significantly affect the drainage performance of the drain set.
- the manual handling of the plug is particularly simple if according to a further advantageous embodiment of the Gripping element is provided with elevations.
- the elevations are preferably elongated and / or bead-shaped.
- the plug and / or the gripping element are preferably made of plastic, wherein the plug has an annular groove with a sealing ring made of elastomeric material disposed therein.
- Plastic is dimensionally stable compared to rubber or elastomeric material and usually cheaper.
- the inner diameter of the dip tube is greater than the inner diameter of the downcomer.
- the inner diameter of the dip tube is at least 1.5 times the inner diameter of the downcomer.
- the inside diameter of the drain neck is about 40 mm or 50 mm. Due to the relatively large dimensions of the immersion tube inner diameter results in improved accessibility of the cleaning opening occlusive plug.
- the drain fitting shown in the drawing has a drain housing 1, which is composed of an upper housing part 1.1 and a lower housing part 1.2.
- the two parts 1.1, 1.2 are welded together.
- the upper housing part 1.1 has a receptacle 2 for a sealing ring 3, which is provided on its underside with a circumferential groove into which an annular web 4 of the upper housing part 1.1 engages, so that by this positive connection between the sealing ring 3 and the upper housing part 1.1 a locking of Sealing ring 3 relative to the upper housing part 1.1 results.
- a mounting flange 5 is also provided, which rests with an inclined surface on the upper edge surface of the drain opening of the shower or bath, while the sealing ring 3 against the lower edge surface of the drain opening is pressed, namely when tightening the mounting screws 6, which are inserted through through-openings of the mounting flange 5 with its threaded shaft and screwed into threaded holes of the housing base 1.2.
- the threaded holes are formed by metal-made, cast into the housing base made of plastic threaded sleeves.
- a cover 7 is fitted positively.
- the cover 7 can be easily removed for cleaning.
- the upper housing part 1.1 and the lower housing part 1.2 delimit an inner space 8 which is different from that in the upper housing part 1.1 formed inlet opening (inlet opening) 9 forth accessible.
- a drain pipe 10 is formed on which a drain bend 11 and a drain line can be connected.
- the drain neck 10 has an external thread 12, so that the drain bend 11 inserted into the drain neck 10 can be sealingly and non-rotatably connected to the drain neck 10 with a union nut 13.
- the drain housing 1, namely the lower housing part 1.2 further has between the inner space 8 and the outlet nozzle 10 a housing wall (double wall) 14 which defines a partition with an overflow edge 15.
- the housing wall 14 is part of an annular circumferential, the interior 8 of the housing 1 limiting housing wall (inner curvature) 16, which is surrounded by a flow channel 17 which opens into the discharge nozzle 10.
- the bottom of the annular drain channel 17 is inclined to the outlet nozzle 10.
- the dip tube 19 is formed substantially circular cylindrical. However, it may be formed in other cross-sectional shapes, for example, have an oval cross-sectional shape.
- bow-shaped handle 21 is provided in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 in the upper end of the dip tube 19 is a transverse to the tube central axis extending bow-shaped handle 21 is provided so that the dip tube 19 can be easily grasped and pulled out of the housing 1.
- the inner diameter of the dip tube 19 is more than 1.5 times the inner diameter of the discharge nozzle 10. It can be seen that the interior space 8 of the housing 1 after removal of the dip tube 19 is easily accessible for cleaning purposes.
- an opening 22 is formed, which is closed by a removable stopper 23.
- the plug 23 or opening 22 are aligned with the longitudinal center axis (direction axis) of the drain neck 10.
- the opening 22 provides improved access to the drain pipe 10 and the drain line connected thereto in order to block it in the event of clogging by means of a flexible cleaning spiral and / or To be able to clean the pressurized water flushing hose.
- the plug 23 has an accessible from the interior 8 of the housing 1 ago grip element 24 and is held by the inserted dip tube 19 in the closed position.
- the grip element 24 protrudes into the interior 8 of the drain housing 1.
- the gripping element 24 is preferably designed in the form of a substantially plate-shaped web which, in the closed position of the plug 23, extends substantially vertically along the housing wall 14 having the opening 22. The longitudinal extent of the grip element 24 is greater than the inner diameter of the opening 23 closed by the stopper 23.
- the plug 23 is designed as a rotary locking plug, wherein the opening 22 is provided with locking means for a rotational locking connection of the plug 23.
- the web-shaped grip element 24 is provided with elevations 25. On both sides of the grip element 24 are each two mutually parallel elongated, bead-shaped elevations 25 are formed.
- the plug 23 and the handle member 24 are made of plastic. They are integrally formed, wherein the plug 23 has an annular groove 26 with a sealing ring made of elastomeric material disposed therein.
- the immersion tube 19 inserted into the drain housing 1 is spaced radially from the housing wall 14 having the opening 22.
- the distance between the dip tube 19 and the housing wall 14 in the region of the opening 22 is for example at least 0.3 times, preferably at least 0.4 times, the inner diameter of the opening 22.
- the grip element 24 of the stopper 23 projects beyond the part of the stopper 23 engaging in the opening 22 by a dimension which substantially corresponds to the distance between the dip tube 19 and the housing wall 14 in the region of the opening 22.
- the immersion tube 19 inserted into the drain housing 1 contacts the grip element 24 of the plug 23.
- the waste set according to the invention can also be used in drainage systems, which have a central floor drain Have odor trap over which all sanitary equipment, especially shower trays, except toilets, drained. In that regard, it is not necessary here to provide a siphon in the shower drain.
- the waste set according to the invention can also be operated without the dip tube and without the stopper. In this case, only a small puddle of water results in the cup-shaped part of the housing lower part. Furthermore, this results in a higher drainage performance, since the water can flow through the non-closed opening in the housing wall.
- a further embodiment of a generic waste fitting is that in the housing wall (double wall) between the drain pipe and the interior initially no plug is provided, i. that on the inside of the double wall, a watertight predetermined breaking point is predetermined, which can be broken out in the event of clogging. On request, the customer then receives the plug in order to be able to reseal the opening formed by the break-out of the predetermined breaking point in a watertight manner.

The present invention has for its object to provide a drain fitting of the type mentioned, which provides optimum accessibility of the drain nozzle in the assembled state, allows easy cleaning and ensures proper sealing function of the plug.
This problem is solved by a waste fitting with the features of
The waste fitting according to the invention is characterized in that the plug inserted into the opening is held in the closed position by the immersion tube inserted into the drain housing. The plug is thus fixed in the inserted state by the dip tube. Therefore, even when using a suction cup for cleaning the drain fitting and the drain line connected thereto, it remains securely arranged in the cleaning opening formed in the housing wall and seals it reliably. On the other hand, the plug can also be easily removed from the opening even after removal of the dip tube to clean if necessary, the drain pipe and the secondary drain line by means of a flexible spiral or a pressurized water flushing hose.
An advantageous embodiment of the drain assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the plug as Rotary stopper is formed, wherein the opening is provided with locking means for a rotational locking connection of the plug. As a result, the security against unintentional moving out of the plug from the sealed cleaning opening is further increased.
A further advantageous embodiment of the drain fitting according to the invention is that the grip element of the plug protrudes into the interior of the drain housing. As a result, the handle element and thus the stopper can be very good grip. In addition, the handle element is thereby better visible after removal of the dip tube from the tub or at least better tactile.
A further preferred embodiment is characterized in that the longitudinal extent of the grip element is greater than the inner diameter of the closed by the stopper opening. This ensures that the stopper can not be pushed through the opening in the direction of the drain neck.
A development of the invention provides that the grip element of the plug is designed in the form of a plate-shaped web which extends in the closed position of the plug substantially vertically along the housing wall having the opening. The grip element can not only be particularly well taken in this case, it is also aerodynamically shaped so that it can not significantly affect the drainage performance of the drain set.
The manual handling of the plug is particularly simple if according to a further advantageous embodiment of the Gripping element is provided with elevations. The elevations are preferably elongated and / or bead-shaped.
The plug and / or the gripping element are preferably made of plastic, wherein the plug has an annular groove with a sealing ring made of elastomeric material disposed therein. Plastic is dimensionally stable compared to rubber or elastomeric material and usually cheaper.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the drain fitting according to the invention, the inner diameter of the dip tube is greater than the inner diameter of the downcomer. Preferably, the inner diameter of the dip tube is at least 1.5 times the inner diameter of the downcomer. Usually, the inside diameter of the drain neck is about 40 mm or 50 mm. Due to the relatively large dimensions of the immersion tube inner diameter results in improved accessibility of the cleaning opening occlusive plug.
For a simple removal of the dip tube, it is also advantageous if, according to a further embodiment in the upper end of the dip tube a transversely extending to the tube center axis handle is formed.
Further preferred and advantageous embodiments of the drain assembly according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The
The waste set according to the invention can also be used in drainage systems, which have a central floor drain Have odor trap over which all sanitary equipment, especially shower trays, except toilets, drained. In that regard, it is not necessary here to provide a siphon in the shower drain. In such drainage systems, as are customary, for example, in southern Europe, the waste set according to the invention can also be operated without the dip tube and without the stopper. In this case, only a small puddle of water results in the cup-shaped part of the housing lower part. Furthermore, this results in a higher drainage performance, since the water can flow through the non-closed opening in the housing wall.
A further embodiment of a generic waste fitting is that in the housing wall (double wall) between the drain pipe and the interior initially no plug is provided, i. that on the inside of the double wall, a watertight predetermined breaking point is predetermined, which can be broken out in the event of clogging. On request, the customer then receives the plug in order to be able to reseal the opening formed by the break-out of the predetermined breaking point in a watertight manner.
The embodiment of the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawing. Rather, numerous variants are conceivable, which make use of the invention even in deviating from the embodiment of the invention and which are defined in the claims.
