Definitions
- the invention relates to a system comprising an odor trap and a receiving body, as well as such an odor trap.
- odor trap It is known to provide the floor of a room or a bathtub or shower tray with a floor inlet which has an odor trap.
- the floor inlet forms an opening for draining liquid from the room or the tub. Since the floor drain is always open, smells can basically get into the room from a pipe section adjoining the floor drain and from the sewer system through the floor drain.
- the odor trap prevents this.
- Known odor traps usually include a water reservoir for this purpose, which prevents an exchange of air between the drain pipe and the room, that is to say the two areas separated by the odor trap. A large number of possibilities are known for storing the odor trap in the floor drain.
- a drain device with a housing into which an odor trap can be inserted.
- the odor trap hangs with an upper end of an inlet on a seal arranged circumferentially within the housing.
- the seal encloses a notch in the housing.
- WO 01/73231 A1 describes an odor trap with an overflow container in which an inlet element can be inserted.
- the overflow container is held on a bead of a receiving body.
- the invention is based on the object of providing an odor trap which is structurally as simple as possible, which can be connected to a receptacle body easily and at the same time with a good seal and also enables the odor trap and receptacle body to be easily cleaned.
- the system according to the invention consequently consists of an odor trap and a receiving body, the odor trap being designed in two parts.
- the two-part odor trap comprises an overflow container and a Inlet element.
- the installation state describes the state in which the odor trap is inserted into the receptacle.
- the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container.
- the overflow container has a container edge at its upper end.
- the inlet element has an inlet element edge at its upper end, which is referred to below as the inlet edge. Starting from a container wall of the overflow container, the container edge can extend essentially vertically outward.
- the inlet edge can likewise extend essentially vertically outward, starting from a wall of the inlet element.
- the overflow container and / or inlet element can thus have a pot-like shape.
- the upper end of the inlet element extends beyond the upper end of the overflow container against a direction of insertion of the odor trap into the receiving body. Consequently, when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container, the inlet edge is arranged above the container edge. Due to this arrangement, the inlet element can be understood as the upper part and the overflow container as the lower part of the odor trap.
- the overflow container and / or the inlet element can, for example, have a circular cross section, in particular the cross section can be adapted to a cross section of the receiving body.
- the receiving body has a bead which extends in an interior of the receiving body.
- the bead is a reinforcing rib to increase the stability of the receiving body.
- the bead can be designed as a circumferential bead, that is, it can extend along the entire circumference of the receiving body. In principle, however, the bead can also consist of several sections which, for example, each extend only partially along the circumference of the receiving body.
- the overflow container is placed with its container edge on the bead of the receiving body. In the installed state, the overflow container is held on the bead of the receiving body.
- the inlet element is mounted as the upper part of the odor trap above the overflow container, for example the inlet element can rest with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container.
- Water flowing into the receiving body first reaches the overflow container of the odor trap via the inlet element of the odor trap.
- the inlet element can have a passage opening at a lower end in the installed state.
- a water reservoir collects in the overflow container, preventing an exchange of air between the areas above and below the odor trap.
- the storage according to the invention of the overflow container on the bead of the receiving body allows a particularly simple installation of the odor trap in the receiving body.
- the odor trap can also easily be removed from the receiving body again, for example for cleaning.
- the system according to the invention is consequently structurally simple and very easy to clean.
- the overflow container rests with its container edge directly on the bead of the receiving body. It can therefore be provided in particular that no seal or the like is arranged between the container edge and the bead of the receiving body. This further simplifies the construction of the system, in particular the odor trap.
- the inlet element in the installed state rests with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container.
- the container edge rests on the bead, while the inlet edge again rests on the container edge, as already explained above.
- the overflow container rests with its container edge on the bead of the receiving body in such a way that the entire odor trap is only held on the receiving body via the overflow container.
- a sealing ring is arranged on the inlet edge of the inlet element.
- the inlet element and thus the odor trap can be sealed with respect to the receiving body.
- the sealing ring provided on the inlet edge of the inlet element can consequently be the only sealing ring of the odor trap. Since the inlet edge is arranged above the container edge when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container, sufficient sealing takes place without the overflow container itself needing a sealing ring. A good seal is thus achieved with a simple construction at the same time.
- the sealing ring of the inlet element can, for example, encompass an abutment lip running upwards, opposite to the direction of insertion, for abutment on the receiving body.
- the sealing ring can also comprise several, in particular three, sealing lips for contact with the receiving body, which allows a particularly secure seal.
- the inlet edge is received in an edge opening of the sealing ring, so that the sealing ring surrounds the inlet edge of the inlet element like a mouth.
- the sealing ring thus has an edge opening for receiving the inlet edge of the inlet element.
- the sealing ring grips the inlet edge on both sides through the mouth-like edge opening. With the part of the sealing ring opposite the edge opening, a seal can be made with respect to the receiving body.
- This configuration allows a particularly secure connection between the sealing ring and the inlet edge.
- the inlet element can also be held on an inner wall of the receiving body via the sealing ring.
- the sealing ring can thus not only serve to seal against the receiving body, but also to hold the inlet element on the inner wall of the receiving body.
- the sealing ring can for this purpose be held on the inner wall of the floor inlet, for example, via the sealing lips described above.
- the sealing ring designed in this way allows a particularly tight connection between the inlet element and the floor inlet.
- the inlet element in the installed state preferably rests with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container.
- the overflow container can have at least one overflow opening at its upper end in the installed state, in order to allow liquid entering the overflow container to escape.
- the at least one overflow opening can be designed in the form of a slot and extend at least partially along the circumference of the overflow container.
- a plurality of such overflow openings can also be provided, each of which extends partially along the circumference of the overflow container.
- the receiving body comprises a floor inlet and / or an attachment piece for insertion into a floor inlet.
- the floor inlet or the top section has the above-described bead, so that the overflow container is mounted over its container edge on the bead of the floor inlet or on the bead of the top section.
- the inlet element can then rest with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container, as explained above.
- the odor trap is thus inserted into the top section or the floor drain.
- the receiving body particularly preferably comprises a floor inlet and an attachment piece that can be inserted into the floor inlet.
- the top piece has the bead on which the overflow container is held over its container edge.
- the inlet element is then also mounted on the attachment piece, for example by resting it on the container edge or directly on an inner wall of the attachment piece via a sealing ring, as described above with respect to the receiving body. So the top piece takes the Odor trap open.
- the top section is then in turn mounted on the floor inlet, for example via a circumferential sealing element.
- the odor trap additionally comprises a handle for inserting the odor trap into the receiving body.
- the handle also serves in particular to remove the odor trap from the receiving body.
- the handle can in particular be formed in one piece from a wire.
- the handle facilitates the insertion of the odor trap into the receiving body and the removal of the odor trap from the receiving body, for example for cleaning purposes.
- both the overflow container and the inlet element are moved.
- the handle is only connected to the overflow container. This is particularly simple in terms of construction. In addition, this ensures that the inlet element can still be removed from the overflow container. When inserted into the overflow container, the inlet element is moved together with the overflow container.
- the handle comprises a handle and two holding elements arranged at opposite ends of the handle, the holding elements each engaging in an overflow opening in the overflow container when connected to the overflow container.
- the handle is preferably formed in one piece from a wire.
- the handle is designed to be gripped by a person inserting the odor trap into or removing it from the receiving body and extends upwards against the direction of insertion, that is to say in the installed state.
- the grip piece can extend through a passage opening arranged on the bottom of the inlet element. Despite the connection of the handle to the overflow container located below the inlet element in the installed state, the handle piece can thus be reached from above.
- the holding elements can in particular be formed as folds of a handle formed in one piece from wire.
- the overflow container therefore has at least two overflow openings.
- Such a connection of the handle to the overflow container is, on the one hand, structurally simple, since no further holders need to be provided for the handle in the overflow container. Instead, overflow openings that are already present are used, which serve to allow liquid to escape from the overflow container and thus to drain off. On the other hand, such a connection is particularly hygienic, since few deposits can collect at the connection points and the connection points can be easily cleaned.
- the handle can be movably mounted within the overflow container, wherein the holding elements can move along the overflow openings. In particular, the handle can be reversibly connectable to the overflow container via the holding elements.
- the odor trap described can be used for the system consisting of an odor trap and a receptacle body.
- the odor trap described can be designed according to one of the features described above.
- the container edge can, for example, extend essentially vertically outward from a container wall.
- An overflow container which is thus pot-shaped, can simply be hung in a receiving body by placing the container edge on the bead. Consequently, the container edge for holding the overflow container is formed on the bead of the receiving body.
- the two-part design of the odor trap thus comprising the overflow container and the inlet element, is particularly simple in terms of construction and allows the odor trap to be cleaned thoroughly.
- the odor trap can comprise a handle explained above.
- the handle can in particular comprise a handle piece and two holding elements arranged at opposite ends of the handle piece, the holding elements being designed to engage in each overflow opening of the overflow container when connected to the overflow container.
- the system consists of a receiving body, which is formed by a floor inlet 10, and an odor trap 20.
- the floor inlet 10 has a vertical outlet nozzle 12, at an upper end an arch 14 for receiving an inlet grate (not shown) and a circumferential bead 16 .
- the odor trap 20 comprises an overflow container 22 and an inlet element 24 with a sealing ring 26.
- the overflow container 22 also has a container edge 28 at its upper end in the installed state, while the inlet element 24 has an inlet edge 30 at its upper end in the installed state.
- the overflow container 22 lies with its container edge 28 directly on the bead 16 of the floor inlet 10 and thus the receiving body.
- the container edge 28 protrudes perpendicularly from the wall 23 of the overflow container 22. No seal is provided between the container edge 28 and the bead 16.
- the overflow container 22 can thus be inserted, in particular suspended, into the floor drain 10 in a particularly simple manner.
- the inlet element 24 has the sealing ring 26, which surrounds the inlet edge 30 like a mouth via an edge opening 27.
- a contact lip 36 of the sealing ring 26 protrudes upwards against the direction of insertion of the odor trap and is in sealing contact with an inner wall 18 of the floor drain 10.
- the inlet element 24 arranged above the container edge 28 of the overflow container 22 is held on the floor inlet 10 via the sealing ring 26.
- the height of the inlet element 24 can also be adjusted within the floor inlet 10, for example in order to enable a better flow of water through the passage opening 32 into the overflow container 22.
- the inlet element 24 with the seal 26 can also rest on the container edge 28.
- the design in the Figures 5 and 6 is essentially identical to the embodiment described above. Only another sealing ring 26 'for the inlet element 24 of the odor trap 20 is provided.
- the sealing ring 26 ′ also engages around the inlet edge 30 by means of an edge opening 27 like a mouth, but has three sealing lips 38 on its opposite side, which are in contact with the inner wall 18 of the floor inlet 10.
- the inlet element 24 is held on the floor inlet 10 via the sealing ring 26 'and is adjustable in height along it.
- the sealing lips 38 appear to protrude into the wall of the floor inlet 10. However, this only serves to fully illustrate the sealing lips 38; in fact, the sealing lips are deformed when the inlet element 24 is inserted into the floor inlet 10.
- Such a sealing ring allows a particularly good seal.
- FIG. 7 to 9 Another embodiment of the system of odor trap and receiving body is in the Figures 7 to 9 shown.
- the odor trap 20 is here identical to that in the Figures 5 and 6
- the odor trap shown thus consists of the overflow container 22, the inlet element 24 and the sealing ring 26 '.
- the sealing ring 26 and thus the odor trap would also be made of the Figures 1 to 4 usable.
- the odor trap 20 is not mounted directly but via an attachment piece 11 on a floor inlet 10 '.
- the receiving body thus comprises the bottom inlet 10 'and the top piece 11.
- the bead 16 in this embodiment is not provided on the bottom inlet, but on the top piece 11 and extends into the interior of the top piece 11.
- the bulge 14 is for receiving a
- the inlet grate (not shown) is arranged on the top piece 11. As in particular in Figure 9 It is easy to see that the overflow container 22 rests with its container edge 28 on this bead 16. Here, too, the overflow container 22, in particular the entire odor trap 20, can simply be held on the bead 16 of the top section 11.
- the top piece 11 is in turn held by a sealing ring 40 as a sealing element on the floor inlet 10 '.
- the floor inlet 10 ' has an outwardly curved sealing ring receptacle 44 via which the sealing ring 40 is attached to the floor inlet 10'.
- a sealing ring lip 42 of the sealing ring 40 protrudes into the interior space delimited by the floor inlet 10 'and rests against an outer wall of the top section 11 in such a way that it, together with the odor trap 20 located therein, is held in the floor inlet 10'.
- the top piece 11, together with the odor trap 20, is thus adjustable in height relative to the floor inlet 10 ′, that is to say it can be displaced along the axis A relative to the floor inlet 10 ′.
- the attachment piece 11 can thus be adapted to different floor depths.
- the sealing ring 40 could also be arranged on the attachment piece 11 and with its sealing ring lip 42 on an inner wall of the floor inlet 10 'rest. Even then, the height adjustability described would be guaranteed.
- the odor trap 20 together with its components being identical to the exemplary embodiment from FIG Figures 1 to 4 is.
- the odor trap 20 differs from that in Figure 1
- the handle 50 is formed in one piece from a wire and is arranged between the overflow container 22 and the inlet element 24.
- a handle 52 of the handle 50 extends along the axis A against the direction of insertion of the odor trap 20 through the passage opening 32 of the inlet element 24 Bores (not shown) of the overflow container 22 are added.
- the handle 50 can be inserted into the overflow container 22 in a simple manner in that the wire bracket-like handle 50 is slightly deformed by the action of an external force by an operator.
- the handle 50 used has a large amount of play in the overflow openings 34.
- an operator grips the handle 52 and thus lifts the overflow container 22.
- the inlet element 24 is supported by its inlet edge 30 on the container edge 28 of the Overflow container 22 and is thus also moved. An operator can thus easily insert the entire odor trap 20 with the aid of the handle 50 into the floor drain 10 and remove it therefrom.

Description
The invention relates to a system comprising an odor trap and a receiving body, as well as such an odor trap.
It is known to provide the floor of a room or a bathtub or shower tray with a floor inlet which has an odor trap. The floor inlet forms an opening for draining liquid from the room or the tub. Since the floor drain is always open, smells can basically get into the room from a pipe section adjoining the floor drain and from the sewer system through the floor drain. The odor trap prevents this. Known odor traps usually include a water reservoir for this purpose, which prevents an exchange of air between the drain pipe and the room, that is to say the two areas separated by the odor trap. The system according to the invention consequently consists of an odor trap and a receiving body, the odor trap being designed in two parts. The two-part odor trap comprises an overflow container and a Inlet element. The installation state describes the state in which the odor trap is inserted into the receptacle. In said installed state, the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container. In relation to the installed state, the overflow container has a container edge at its upper end. In relation to the installed state, the inlet element has an inlet element edge at its upper end, which is referred to below as the inlet edge. Starting from a container wall of the overflow container, the container edge can extend essentially vertically outward. The inlet edge can likewise extend essentially vertically outward, starting from a wall of the inlet element. The overflow container and / or inlet element can thus have a pot-like shape. In the installed state, the upper end of the inlet element extends beyond the upper end of the overflow container against a direction of insertion of the odor trap into the receiving body. Consequently, when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container, the inlet edge is arranged above the container edge. Due to this arrangement, the inlet element can be understood as the upper part and the overflow container as the lower part of the odor trap. The overflow container and / or the inlet element can, for example, have a circular cross section, in particular the cross section can be adapted to a cross section of the receiving body.
The receiving body has a bead which extends in an interior of the receiving body. The bead is a reinforcing rib to increase the stability of the receiving body. The bead can be designed as a circumferential bead, that is, it can extend along the entire circumference of the receiving body. In principle, however, the bead can also consist of several sections which, for example, each extend only partially along the circumference of the receiving body. According to the invention, the overflow container is placed with its container edge on the bead of the receiving body. In the installed state, the overflow container is held on the bead of the receiving body. The In this case, the inlet element is mounted as the upper part of the odor trap above the overflow container, for example the inlet element can rest with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container.
Water flowing into the receiving body first reaches the overflow container of the odor trap via the inlet element of the odor trap. For this purpose, the inlet element can have a passage opening at a lower end in the installed state. A water reservoir collects in the overflow container, preventing an exchange of air between the areas above and below the odor trap. The storage according to the invention of the overflow container on the bead of the receiving body allows a particularly simple installation of the odor trap in the receiving body. The odor trap can also easily be removed from the receiving body again, for example for cleaning. The system according to the invention is consequently structurally simple and very easy to clean.
According to a preferred embodiment, the overflow container rests with its container edge directly on the bead of the receiving body. It can therefore be provided in particular that no seal or the like is arranged between the container edge and the bead of the receiving body. This further simplifies the construction of the system, in particular the odor trap.
According to a further embodiment, the inlet element in the installed state rests with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container. In the installed state, the container edge rests on the bead, while the inlet edge again rests on the container edge, as already explained above. Thus, the overflow container rests with its container edge on the bead of the receiving body in such a way that the entire odor trap is only held on the receiving body via the overflow container. This structure is particularly simple.
According to a further embodiment, a sealing ring is arranged on the inlet edge of the inlet element. With this sealing ring, the inlet element and thus the odor trap can be sealed with respect to the receiving body. In particular, it can be provided that only the inlet element has a seal, but the overflow container does not have such a seal. The sealing ring provided on the inlet edge of the inlet element can consequently be the only sealing ring of the odor trap. Since the inlet edge is arranged above the container edge when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container, sufficient sealing takes place without the overflow container itself needing a sealing ring. A good seal is thus achieved with a simple construction at the same time. The sealing ring of the inlet element can, for example, encompass an abutment lip running upwards, opposite to the direction of insertion, for abutment on the receiving body. The sealing ring can also comprise several, in particular three, sealing lips for contact with the receiving body, which allows a particularly secure seal.
According to a further embodiment, the inlet edge is received in an edge opening of the sealing ring, so that the sealing ring surrounds the inlet edge of the inlet element like a mouth. According to this embodiment, the sealing ring thus has an edge opening for receiving the inlet edge of the inlet element. The sealing ring grips the inlet edge on both sides through the mouth-like edge opening. With the part of the sealing ring opposite the edge opening, a seal can be made with respect to the receiving body. This configuration allows a particularly secure connection between the sealing ring and the inlet edge. The inlet element can also be held on an inner wall of the receiving body via the sealing ring. The sealing ring can thus not only serve to seal against the receiving body, but also to hold the inlet element on the inner wall of the receiving body. The sealing ring can for this purpose be held on the inner wall of the floor inlet, for example, via the sealing lips described above. The sealing ring designed in this way allows a particularly tight connection between the inlet element and the floor inlet. In this case too, the inlet element in the installed state preferably rests with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container.
According to a further embodiment, the overflow container can have at least one overflow opening at its upper end in the installed state, in order to allow liquid entering the overflow container to escape. The at least one overflow opening can be designed in the form of a slot and extend at least partially along the circumference of the overflow container. A plurality of such overflow openings can also be provided, each of which extends partially along the circumference of the overflow container.
According to a preferred embodiment, the receiving body comprises a floor inlet and / or an attachment piece for insertion into a floor inlet. The floor inlet or the top section has the above-described bead, so that the overflow container is mounted over its container edge on the bead of the floor inlet or on the bead of the top section. The inlet element can then rest with its inlet edge on the container edge of the overflow container, as explained above. The odor trap is thus inserted into the top section or the floor drain. The receiving body particularly preferably comprises a floor inlet and an attachment piece that can be inserted into the floor inlet. The top piece has the bead on which the overflow container is held over its container edge. The inlet element is then also mounted on the attachment piece, for example by resting it on the container edge or directly on an inner wall of the attachment piece via a sealing ring, as described above with respect to the receiving body. So the top piece takes the Odor trap open. The top section is then in turn mounted on the floor inlet, for example via a circumferential sealing element.
According to a further embodiment, the odor trap additionally comprises a handle for inserting the odor trap into the receiving body. The handle also serves in particular to remove the odor trap from the receiving body. The handle can in particular be formed in one piece from a wire. The handle facilitates the insertion of the odor trap into the receiving body and the removal of the odor trap from the receiving body, for example for cleaning purposes. With the help of the handle, both the overflow container and the inlet element are moved. According to the invention, the handle is only connected to the overflow container. This is particularly simple in terms of construction. In addition, this ensures that the inlet element can still be removed from the overflow container. When inserted into the overflow container, the inlet element is moved together with the overflow container.
According to one embodiment, the handle comprises a handle and two holding elements arranged at opposite ends of the handle, the holding elements each engaging in an overflow opening in the overflow container when connected to the overflow container. The handle is preferably formed in one piece from a wire. The handle is designed to be gripped by a person inserting the odor trap into or removing it from the receiving body and extends upwards against the direction of insertion, that is to say in the installed state. In particular, the grip piece can extend through a passage opening arranged on the bottom of the inlet element. Despite the connection of the handle to the overflow container located below the inlet element in the installed state, the handle piece can thus be reached from above. The holding elements can in particular be formed as folds of a handle formed in one piece from wire. Each of the Retaining elements each engage in an overflow opening of the overflow container, these overflow openings also being correspondingly opposite one another. According to this embodiment, the overflow container therefore has at least two overflow openings. Such a connection of the handle to the overflow container is, on the one hand, structurally simple, since no further holders need to be provided for the handle in the overflow container. Instead, overflow openings that are already present are used, which serve to allow liquid to escape from the overflow container and thus to drain off. On the other hand, such a connection is particularly hygienic, since few deposits can collect at the connection points and the connection points can be easily cleaned. The handle can be movably mounted within the overflow container, wherein the holding elements can move along the overflow openings. In particular, the handle can be reversibly connectable to the overflow container via the holding elements.
- the odor trap comprises an overflow container and an inlet element that can be inserted into the overflow container,
- the overflow container has at an upper end a container edge which is designed to hold the overflow container on a bead of a receiving body,
- the inlet element has an inlet edge at an upper end and, when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container, is arranged above the container edge of the overflow container,
- a sealing ring is arranged on the inlet edge, which is designed to seal the inlet element with respect to a receiving body, wherein the odor trap further comprises a handle connected only to the overflow container for inserting the odor trap into the receiving body.
The odor trap described can be used for the system consisting of an odor trap and a receptacle body. In particular the odor trap described can be designed according to one of the features described above. The container edge can, for example, extend essentially vertically outward from a container wall. An overflow container, which is thus pot-shaped, can simply be hung in a receiving body by placing the container edge on the bead. Consequently, the container edge for holding the overflow container is formed on the bead of the receiving body. The two-part design of the odor trap, thus comprising the overflow container and the inlet element, is particularly simple in terms of construction and allows the odor trap to be cleaned thoroughly. Preferably, only the inlet element has a sealing ring, while the overflow container has no further seal. This further simplifies the structure. In addition, the odor trap can comprise a handle explained above. The handle can in particular comprise a handle piece and two holding elements arranged at opposite ends of the handle piece, the holding elements being designed to engage in each overflow opening of the overflow container when connected to the overflow container.
