Definitions
- the invention relates to Karpulenspritze according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Karpulenspritzen are used especially in dentistry, mostly for local anesthesia, z. B. before a tooth extraction.
- the known Karpulenspritze consists of metal.
- an external thread is provided at the front end of the syringe, onto which the injection cannula is screwed, which is attached to a nut with an internal thread.
- the piercing cannula attached to the other end of the nut is inserted into the receiving cylinder when the nut is screwed onto the male thread.
- the patient is injected with several medications, usually disposable syringes with a luer-lock connection are used.
- the injection cannula is attached to an inner cone, which is laterally provided with two opposing jaws.
- an outer cone is attached, further a concentrically arranged around the outer cone sleeve with an internal thread.
- the syringe is slightly rotated relative to the injection cannula in order to connect and lock the inner cone with the outer cone by engagement of the two claws in the internal thread.
- the disposable syringes with the respective medicament and the injection cannula with the inner cone are commercially available sterile packaged. When a patient is to be successively injected with different medicaments, after the injection with the first syringe, these can be detached from the injection cannula, whereupon another disposable syringe with another medicament is connected to the injection cannula inserted in the patient.
- the disposable syringes are closed by a rubber cap or the like on the outer cone. Removal of the closure may therefore compromise sterility. Also can get air into the syringe. In addition, disposable syringes are expensive, u. a. because the filling process and the sterilization are expensive.
- the object of the invention is to provide a cost-effective, sterile-packed injection syringe, with which, without having to remove the injection cannula after the first injection, further medicaments can be injected.
- This is achieved according to the invention by the carbody syringe identified in claim 1.
- advantageous embodiments of the invention are shown.
- the Karpulenspritze on a receiving cylinder for receiving the carpule is to be understood as an ampoule with a glass cylinder, which is already filled with the drug at the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
- the drug may be a liquid, ointment or other flowable mass.
- the filling volume of a carpule is for example 1 to 3 ml.
- the filled with the drug vial cylinder is at the front end with a piercing membrane z. B. made of rubber or plastic, and at the rear end by a plug, for example made of rubber or a rubber-elastic plastic.
- the receiving cylinder For inserting the carpule in the receiving cylinder of the syringe, the receiving cylinder preferably laterally on a longitudinally extending receiving opening, which is generally shorter than the length of the ampoule.
- a plunger is guided displaceably.
- the plunger preferably has a widened head at the rear end.
- the plunger engages the plug in the carpule to advance it like a piston in the ampoule cylinder.
- the puncture of the piercing membrane when inserting the carpule in the receiving cylinder is attached to the front end of the receiving cylinder, a push-through cannula, which projects into the interior of the receiving cylinder.
- connection for the injection cannula is formed in the syringe according to the invention as a Luer-lock connection, that is, a seal of an inner cone on the one connection side and an outer cone on the other connection side, which is arranged on the inner cone.
- the inner cone is attached to the front end of the receiving cylinder, and the outer cone on the injection cannula.
- the syringe according to the invention that is to say the receiving cylinder with the plunger, the piercing cannula and the Luer lock connection, that is to say the outer cone and the threaded sleeve, are packaged in a sterile manner. They represent a disposable item that is discarded after each injection application on the patient becomes. Apart from the piercing cannula, they are made of plastic. Preferably, a transparent plastic is used, for example a plastic, as it is used for disposable syringes.
- a commercially available carpule can be used, which is filled with the respective drug.
- the cartridges are also packaged in a sterile manner, likewise the injection cannula with the outer cone, wherein a protective cap is preferably placed on the injection cannula.
- the inner diameter of the receiving cylinder corresponds to the outer diameter of the carpule, the length of the interior of the receiving cylinder of the length of the carpule.
- the carpule may e.g. be filled with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 ml of drug.
- the length of the receiving cylinder is preferably at most 12 cm, in particular at most 10 cm, as a greater length complicates the handling of the syringe.
- the injection cannula used is preferably a standardized injection cannula for disposable syringes with Luer-lock connection.
- the Karpulenspritze invention is particularly intended for orthopedics, further for other medical specialties, such as rheumatology and the like.
- the invention is explained in more detail by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing. Show:
- Figure 1 to 3 is an exploded view, top view and longitudinal section of Karpulenspritze
- Figures 4 and 5 is a perspective view of a carpule or an injection cannula with outer cone.
- the Karpulenspritze 1 a receiving cylinder 2 for receiving the carpule 3.
- the carpule 3 consists of a glass cylinder 4 which is filled with a medicament 5.
- the carpule 3 is at the front end with a piercing membrane 6 z. B. made of rubber, which is fastened with a flanged metal cap 7 on the glass cylinder 4.
- a plug 8 z. B. made of rubber In the rear end of the carpule 3 is a plug 8 z. B. made of rubber.
- the receiving cylinder 2 laterally on a longitudinally extending receiving opening 9. Furthermore, a plunger 11 is slidably guided at the rear end of the receiving cylinder 2. For pressing with the thumb, the plunger 11 at the rear end on a plate-shaped head 12. The plunger 11 engages the plug 8 in the carpule 3 in order to move it forward during injection, like a piston in the ampoule cylinder 4.
- the receiving cylinder 3 has a widening 13 laterally at the rear end.
- the piercing membrane 6 is pierced when inserting the carpule 3 in the receiving cylinder 2.
- a piercing cannula 15 is attached to the front end of the receiving cylinder 2, which protrudes into the interior of the receiving cylinder 2.
- connection for the injection cannula 15 is designed as a Luer lock connection.
