Description

The invention relates to a compacting device according to the preamble of claim 1 for compacting empty containers, in particular beverage bottles or cans made of plastic or sheet metal, such as tinplate or aluminum sheet. A similar compacting device is in the DE 201 11 752 U1 described.

In the DE 103 25 368 B4 discloses a compacting apparatus comprising two counter-drivable rollers arranged in parallel spaced relationship and configured to cut and squeeze empty containers between them. For this purpose, each roller has a plurality of disks mounted successively along a roll axis. One part of the disks is designed as a pressure disk, the other part of the disks as a cutting disk. Furthermore, the rollers are arranged such that discs of one roller engage in the spaces between the discs of the other roller. By an opposite movement of the rollers, an empty container is drawn into the space between the rollers and compressed by the plurality of pressure and cutting discs and cut. This allows in particular the compacting of empty, closed containers without having to perforate them before.

In the DE 85 15 290 U1 a generic compacting device is described. This device has at least one roller for compressing and perforating empty containers, wherein projecting from the base body of the roller pin elements, which are referred to as spikes, radially. The pin elements are in recordings of the roller body impacted and secured by means of a metal adhesive in it.

Object of the present invention is to provide a generic compacting available, with a simple construction in a very effective way, a compaction of empty containers can be achieved.

This object is achieved by a compacting apparatus according to claim 1.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen sind Gegenstände der abhängigen Ansprüche.Advantageous developments are subject matters of the dependent claims.

The compacting device according to the invention for compacting empty containers, in particular beverage bottles or cans made of plastic or tinplate, is characterized in that the at least one pin element is designed as a spiral clamping pin.

Such a constructed pin element makes it possible to achieve a mere compression of a container in the same process and a perforation of the container. Preferably, a plurality of pin elements are arranged on the roller base body for this purpose. Furthermore, such a projecting pin element favors the collection of a container, for example, in which the pin element engages behind uneven areas of the container and in this way carries the container. Due to their radial elastic properties, it is ensured that the spiral tension pins do not detach from the roller base body under loads which occur during operation of the compacting device.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the roller base body has a receptacle into which the at least one pin element is non-positively inserted. Due to the non-positive insertion of the pin member in the roller body is firstly ensured that in case of damage or wear of individual pin elements, the affected pin elements are replaceable with a sufficiently high force. An exchange of the roller body, in particular a disassembly of the roller body, as required in the prior art, can be omitted. On the other hand, the non-positive connection between the pin element and the roll base body also ensures that this withstands the forces acting on the compression and perforation of containers, without detaching itself from the roll body.

Due to the fact that the at least one pin element protrudes from the roller base body, the roller base body is loaded less. This is the case in particular when a plurality of pin elements is arranged uniformly on the roll base body. This makes it possible to use less strong materials for the formation of the Walzengrundköpers, for example, a low-cost plastic. For example, the roll base body can be produced as a one-piece plastic injection-molded part.

In the first sections 6 receptacles 4 are formed for the reception of pin elements 3. The second sections 7 are free of such receptacles 4. A receptacle 4 is formed by a cylindrical recess, which is oriented radially outward facing the roller axis 8a and 8b. A first section 6 has in each case a plurality of such receptacles 4, which are arranged uniformly offset in the circumferential direction of the roll axis 8a, 8b. With respect to adjacent first sections 6, such a set of receptacles 4 is offset by a certain angle, here 15 degrees, resulting in a spiral arrangement of the receptacles 4 along the roller axes 8a, 8b.

Except for the first sections 6, which are located at the respective end of the roller body 2a, 2b, 4 pin elements 3 are used in all recordings. The depth of the receptacles 4 and the radius of the receptacles 4 are adapted to the pin elements 3, so that a pin element on a frictional connection in a receptacle 4 is fixed and a pin member 3 protrudes with an end portion on the receptacle

First roller 1a and second roller 1b are spaced apart such that pin elements 3 of the first roller 1a in intermediate regions 9 between two first sections 6 of the second roller 1b and pin elements 3 of the second roller 1b in intermediate regions 9 between two first sections 6 of FIG engage first roller 1a.

As a pin member 3, a spiral tension pin 3 is used, see FIGS. 3a to 3c , The spiral clamping pin 3 consists of a spirally wound elastic sheet metal, preferably a spring plate, which, in order to facilitate insertion into a receptacle 4 at one end has a conically shaped bevel 23. In assembled condition, see FIG. 3b , the spiral pin 3 is compressed and thus is radially under tension. Due to this radial stress, an effective frictional connection with the roller base body 2a, 2b can be achieved. Under load in the inserted state, see Figure 3c , the spiral pin 3 can continue to deform. A spiral tension pin 3 here has a diameter in the range of 5 to 10 mm, preferably about 8 mm, and a length in the range of 12 to 30 mm, preferably about 21 mm.

The drive device 10, which here comprises an electric motor is connected via not shown gears and drive chains with the shafts 22a, 22b of the rollers 1 a, 1 b and the paddle shaft 19 to the drive. In operation, the rollers 1a, 1b rotate in opposite directions, with the first shaft 1a rotating clockwise and the second shaft 1b rotating counterclockwise. The paddle shaft 19 and thus the paddle 18 rotate counterclockwise.

An empty container, which passes through the inlet opening 11 or via the return plate 21 in the region of the rollers 1a, 1b is fed by the counter-rotating rollers 1 a, 1 b in the intermediate region of the rollers 1a, 1b. This intake is supported by the rotating paddles 18, which additionally press an empty container against the rollers 1 a, 1 b. Furthermore, the feeder is supported by the pin base elements 2a, 2b projecting from the roller body 2a, which are arranged offset in a spiral. As a rule, the empty container is drawn in by the rollers 1a, 1b and perforated and compressed by the pin elements 3 and the roller base bodies 2a, 2b. The thus compacted container is discharged through the exit port 12. In the case of a non-feeding an empty container via the return plate 21 and the rotating paddle 18 again the rollers 1 a, 1 b supplied.

A stripping device may be provided to assist in stripping a compacted container from the rollers 1a, 1b.

The roller base body 2a, 2b are formed here as one-piece plastic injection molded parts. Alternatively, for example, the use of a metal roll body is possible.
