Abstract

The arrangement consists of a housing with feed-in opening and outlet opening, in which a motor driven cutter is mounted. The cutter can be in the form of a spiral screw. The sharp edge of the spiral cuts the wood while at the same time it moves the wood through the housing. The length of the sections cut-off is equal to the pitch of the spiral which is a fixed distance. Alternatively the cutter can be in the shape of an Archimedean spiral which is arranged on a circular disc from which it extends at right angles.

Description

The invention relates to a device for cutting wood, in particular from Tree trunks, with one in a housing, the at least one task opening and has a discharge opening, arranged motor-driven, at least a cutting device having a cutting edge, by means of which the Cutting opposing wood is separable.

For producing, for example, firewood or the like. become longer pieces of wood, for example, cut beams or the tree trunks themselves, with a Cutting or sawing device cut into handy pieces, being as such Cutting or sawing devices all possible known shapes such as purely manual hand saws, or even small electric saws can be used for fixed circular or gang saws, depending on each whether it is making firewood for home use or in industrial Scale done. Come bigger, fixed machines, for example Circular saws or the like., It is necessary to use the wood to be cut to feed the cutting edge or saw, which in turn is only a fixed one Movement, i.e. either a circular or a vertical movement. The wood has to be guided past the fixed cutting edge. However, this represents a great potential hazard, as far as the machine is concerned Operator until close to the actual cutting area for guidance of the wood. The wood is mainly used in large systems, for example can be transported to the fixed cutting edge by means of feed devices, however, this leads to the fact that the entire system is extremely expensive designed and therefore very expensive to manufacture and purchase and thus completely unprofitable for smaller companies or for domestic use is. Other problems with previously known fixed cutting or sawing devices are to achieve a defined length of lumber, which in particular is then required when the firewood is clean after cutting should be stacked to be stored for a long time. This applies to both in domestic use as well as for industrial production. So far it is usually required for fixed devices with manual wood feeding Length to be cut off either by eye or by means of a Measuring scale about to determine what is but an extremely imprecise and above also allows cumbersome work. For large, fully automatic systems on the other hand, the wood is conveyed intermittently for this purpose, which on the one hand is extremely complex in terms of control, on the other hand the entire system is complex in its structure and dimensioning.

From the patent application WO 84 02871 A1 is a device for crushing of wood known, the cutting device comprises a disc on which a cutting edge is arranged in a protruding spiral. The clippings meet from a storage container disordered on the cutting device, so that result in irregularly long sections. A shredder for wood is described in EP 0 019 092 A1, the clippings being fed via a funnel is fed to a cutting device designed as a worm shaft. Due to the conical shape of the screw shaft, the clippings are different cut long sections depending on which part of the cutting edge it is in Touch comes.

Diese Schrift wird als der nächstliegender Stand der Technik angesehen.WO-A-84/03655 describes a device for cutting to length Known wood, the cutting device comprises a disc on which two Cutting edges are arranged in a protruding spiral. The cutting edges lie on axial spirals and work with obliquely arranged, stationary counter edges. This document is considered to be the closest prior art.

The invention is therefore based on the problem of a device for cutting to length to create wood that is simple in structure and easy to use in terms of security aspects is improved at the same time Enabling a defined cutting length.

To solve this problem are devices according to claims 1 and 9 intended.

Due to the inventive design of the cutting device with its helical or spiral cutting edge, the wood becomes self-sufficient with particular advantage "promoted by" the cutting device. Because as a result of the snail or The cutting edge describes a spiral shape when the cutting device rotates a movement running in the direction of pushing through that of the Cut wood follows and so, once gripped, independently under simultaneous Fragmentation is promoted. This has the particular advantage that the Operator the long piece of wood only once in the area of the rotating Cutting edge must, after which the wood, which is counter-mounted, fully automatically is drawn in and carried through, so that no manual activities are necessary in the cutting area and thus the potential for injury is minimized. Since the cutting turns have a defined distance, is also with particular advantage also ensures a defined cutting length, so that Pieces of firewood with a defined length can be obtained.

So that the wood is gripped as quickly as possible after being fed into the feed opening and the cutting process starts immediately provided that a wall-shaped, the wood counter plate or the like. is arranged, which is under a Angle extends close to the cutting edge. The wood lies on this plate special advantage and slips during the conveying and cutting process along the plate, making it easy to counter-support each Point in time, that is, even if a deep incision has already been made. For Facilitation of movement along the plate can be done with rollers or the like. be provided on which the wood rolls off, but alternatively can also accordingly Dimensioned and stored rolls or rollers are provided instead of the plate his. The angle at which the plate is set to the cutting edge can according to the invention depending on the number of turns and / or the distance between the turns and / or the height of the cutting edge or turns be chosen from each other.

The device according to the invention is in the context of a first alternative formed that the cutter is a substantially circular Includes disc on which the cutting edge is protruding. The In a further embodiment, the cutting edge is essentially parallel to the axis of rotation protrudes from the plane of the disc, with a corresponding inclination is conceivable, is advantageously simple on a substantially circular Disc, which is then driven in rotation by a drive motor known per se is arranged, which is particularly simple from a manufacturing point of view is. In a further embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the preferably from the outer edge of the disc inwardly curling edge an area outside the center of the disc and thus the axis of rotation ends what is advantageous in that it is achieved that the cut Wood, if it is conveyed to the cutting end and cut off, automatically falls out of the cutting area, since the center of the disc is free. On this is the easiest way for a safe delivery of the cut piece of wood taken care of from the cutting area. The cutting edge describes in this embodiment advantageous due to its inward course during rotation a spiral movement to the center of the pane, which is the gripped wood then follows.

The cutting device is part of a second alternative embodiment According to the invention designed as a worm shaft, the cutting edge the helical turn of the worm shaft is formed. Also at Such a design is due to the helical cutting edge given a feed movement of the cutting edge with rotation of the shaft, which at gripped wood a conveying movement of the same with simultaneous division enables. The advantages according to the invention are also in this form of implementation with regard to operational safety and the enabling of a defined Cutting length advantageously fulfilled.

The maximum depth of cut in the wood is in both embodiments the height of the cutting edge placed on the circular disk in one case or determined by the height of the screw turn to the bottom of the shaft, which are chosen accordingly according to the invention, so that the for each purpose appropriately sized device is available. To enable also cut wood that is slightly thicker than the maximum cutting depth can be provided in a further embodiment of the invention, on the cutting device Arrange elements by means of which already partially incised wood is effective that the not yet cut part breaks. With these elements, which in the case of the first design alternative (pane design) than between the surface of the pane and that towards the center of the pane pointing wedge or the like, and the like in the second Execution alternative (worm shaft) as between the turn and wedges or the like which extend to the bottom of the shaft. are formed, which are in the conveying direction extend the worm shaft, the partially cut wood is advantageous at the latest when the wood is close to or already on the disc or the bottom of the wave. If the disc or the shaft is concerned with the Elements rotated further, so press them on the partially cut wood, so that this advantageously breaks, making it possible to cut wood of greater thickness is.

As a result of the continuous cutting throughout the conveyance can be cut at virtually any point of the cutting device the cutting capacity of the device is not a single cutting and therefore limited to a single task opening. As a result, in Another embodiment of the invention can be provided that at least two in the direction of rotation the cutting device successively arranged feed openings are provided, especially in the worm shaft design appropriate length of the worm shaft a variety of feed openings can be provided.

In the case of the disk alternative, it has proven expedient if the According to the invention, the disc is arranged essentially vertically and the feed opening (s) are provided such that the wood is substantially horizontal is feedable, of course to facilitate the falling out of the cut piece from the cutting area the disc also tilted slightly can be. The worm shaft is expediently arranged essentially horizontally, the outlet opening (s) are preferably provided such that the Wood can be fed onto the worm shaft from above.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine Schneideinrichtung 1 der ersten Ausführungsalternative. Fig. 1 shows a cutting device 1 of the first alternative embodiment. This Cutting device 1 consists of a circular disc 2, on which one Cutting edge 3 is arranged, for example welded on. The cutting edge 3 describes a helical line and winds from the outside of the Disk 3 up to the area of the axis of rotation D, but ends outside the axis of rotation, to allow the cut wood to fall out. The distance d between the individual turns of the cutting edge 3 always remains same, in order to ensure a defined cutting width on the one hand and on the other hand to prevent that due to different cutting edge spacing Cutting edge 3 is damaged if the wood is partially cut into because the cutting edge is guided through the wood and changes Winding distance the cutting edge jammed in the cut wood and damaged can be. The cutter 1 rotates in the direction of arrow A, which means that the cutting edge itself faces inwards Performs migratory movement.

A view of a device of the first alternative embodiment is shown in FIG. 2, only the area of the cutting device is shown, all Housing parts, the motor and the like. are omitted for the sake of clarity. How Fig. 2 shows, the cutting edge 3 jumps from the plane of the disk in substantially parallel alignment to the axis of rotation D. The cutting device 1 itself is rotatably mounted in a frame marked with 4 and by a motor, not shown, which preferably engages the rear of the pane 2, can be driven in rotation. There is a feed opening in the area of the cutting device 5 provided for the task of the wood to be cut 6, their exact Training with reference to Fig. 3 is described in more detail. Via this dispensing opening 5 the wood is led into the cutting area, where it is gripped by the cutting edges and pulled inside. When the cutting is finished, the piece of wood falls in the area of the center of the pane.

Also shown are wedge-shaped elements 7, which are between the cutting edge 3 and the The base of the pane, directed towards the center of the pane, cf. also Fig. 1st These elements are used to grab the wood when it is cut far enough is. If the wood is gripped, it becomes, if it is not yet complete is cut through when the disc moves further through the elements 7 pressed down and broken off, so that even pieces of wood that are stronger than that Height of the cutting edge 3, can be cut. The cutting edge 3 itself must have at least two overlapping turns, so that a continuous Transport is guaranteed. Via the second feed opening 5a, that of the first is arranged substantially opposite, is a second piece of wood feedable and editable at the same time. As a result of the spiral shape of the cutting edge 3 the two woods are always cut to different depths, so that the final Cutting is always done alternately, so that the pieces of wood without each other to clamp can fall out in the middle one after the other.

Fig. 3 shows in detail the area of the feed opening 5 (that of the feed opening 5a is designed accordingly) The piece of wood 6 is already such here pushed far in that it is located in the area of the cutting edge 3 and at another Rotation of the disc 2 is gripped by the cutting edge and conveyed. The Piece of wood 6 is supported on a plate 8. The plate 8 is relative to the Cutting plane arranged at an angle, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 4 is. This angular arrangement ensures that there is always a Counter bearing is given, even if already cut deep into the wood 6 is. The required counterbearing on the underside is provided by the plate 9 given on which the wood 6 rests. In the example shown, because the wood 6 is narrow, this is only gripped by the inner cutting aisle. If the wood 6 is dimensioned more strongly, however, it becomes already through the outer Cutting edge gripped, so much earlier than in the example shown. The Cutting edge 3 is in its initial area 10 to enable an immediate cut in this case with a vertical cutting edge 11 and a bevel Provide cutting piece 12.

Fig. 4 shows in a schematic sectional view the division of a piece of wood. This is already gripped by the outer cutting turn 3a and already partially incised. As a result of the rotation already done, the piece of wood became pulled inwards and as a result of the counter bearing through the plate 8 below a predetermined angle from the inside cutting edge turn 3b, which only continues the cutting process that begins continuously on the outside has cut deeply and in the example shown is already largely cut across. Since the piece of wood is stronger in the example shown in FIG. 4 dimensioned, it is already in the central pane area on the disc 2. To ensure that the wood is immediately torn off, they are already in place described elements 7 provided, of which as a result of the sectional view none is visible in FIG. 4. However, these will intervene with further rotation Direction of the double arrow B on the piece of wood 6a and tear it entirely so that it can fall out. The same happens of course with further rotation with the following incised piece of wood.

A second embodiment is shown in FIG. 5. In this there is the Cutting device 13 from a worm shaft 14, the cutting edges 15 the screw turns are formed on the top. When the worm shaft rotates 14 in the direction of arrow C also describes the cutting edge 15 in Direction of arrow E directed migration. If a piece of wood is now in the Introduced feed opening 16, this is counter-supported on the plate 17th seized by a wave turn and partially cut. As a result of the migratory movement the piece of wood 18 in the direction of arrow F further inwards pulled and ultimately cut off. Elements 19 are also provided here serve to tear off the piece of wood if this is not due to its thickness can be cut completely.
