Die Bänder und vorzugsweise lösbaren Befestigungselemente sind vorzugsweise im Randbereich einer Breitseite der Gehäusewanne 2 und der Abdeckung 6 bzw. Scheibe 2a angeordnet. Die Verbindungselemente 37b sind vorzugsweise an der Innenseite 6b der Abdeckung 6 bzw.     - a housing trough (2),
    - at least one fitting (4) for a light source (5) situated in the housing trough (2),
    - a cover (6) for the housing trough (2), of transparent or translucent material,
    - and closure means (8) for releasably fastening the cover (6) on the housing trough (2),
    wherein the closure means (8) engage on or are connected to the cover (6) only at its inner side (6b),
    wherein the closure means (8) have at least one magnetic holder device, and
    wherein the holder device has a magnet (8d) connected to the housing trough (2) and a counter-element (8c), cooperating with the magnet, on the inner side (6b) of the cover (6),
    characterised in that
    a solid layer (24) is arranged between the counter-element (8c) and the inner side (6b).
  2. A luminaire according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the magnetic force of the magnet is greater than the weight of the cover (6) with associated parts mounted thereon, and is releasable by a manually applicable pulling force acting on the cover (6).
