Definitions
- the invention relates to the construction of an electrical armor for a stationary or movable type object to be protected, in particular shaped charge projectiles.
- Hollow charges also pose a threat to armored (bicycle) vehicles.
- Hollow charges are a special arrangement of explosive explosives (often based on nitropenta or hexogen / octogen) around a conical or hemispherical metal insert, which is particularly suitable for penetrating armor. It is used as armor-piercing ammunition accordingly.
- the conical metal insert is surrounded by the explosive with a forward opening.
- SLATs simple hollow charge protection devices
- a preferably removable SLAT protective structure is disclosed by DE 10 2007 036 393 A1
- a protective grille of the same type also describes that DE 10 2007 002 577 A1
- Another protective device is with the DE 103 10 952 A1 published.
- a protection module for the protection of objects with electrical current against threats, in particular by shaped charges, is provided with the DE 10 2005 021 348 B3 protected.
- Such concepts consist of a plate arrangement, a capacitor, a feed line and a charger ( Fig. 1 ). If the hollow charge beam H reaches the armor, it short-circuits the capacitor by contacting the upper and lower (front / rear) plate. The capacitor discharges the circuit, which creates a strong magnetic field due to the high current around the waveguide beam, which in turn acts on the charged particles of the shaped charge beam in the form of strong forces. This causes the diameter of the shaped charge beam to increase, which in turn reduces the penetration capacity of the shaped charge beam.
- the principle can be modified, for example by connecting a plurality of plates in series, providing dielectric liquids between the plates, or changing dielectric liquids and the ceramic between the plates.
- the JP 2002 295996 A discloses a protection module with a plurality of plates arranged one behind the other or one above the other to form a plurality of capacitors. Ceramics are integrated between the plates.
- the object of the invention is to create an earlier reaction to the shaped charge jet by means of shorter / lower slew rates.
- the invention is based on the idea of dividing the capacitance of an otherwise used central capacitor into a multiplicity of plate capacitors, so that the capacitance of the capacitor is realized by a multiplicity of plate capacitors which are formed between the protective plates located one behind the other.
- Each of the capacitors is charged to a voltage U 0 .
- the shaped charge hits the Protection plate, due to the short "supply line", a rapid current rise is possible if the beam electrically connects the plates of the first capacitor to one another and thus only the first capacitor is short-circuited, as a result of which the shaped charge beam represents almost the only inductance of the short-circuit. So you can already get to the front of the beam be reacted to.
- the charger is preferably located inside the vehicle or object to be protected.
- the protection module formed from the many protection plates is charged by means of a coaxial HV cable. The voltage can be divided both in the charger and in the protection module.
- the current rise and the amplitude are now only determined by the parameters of the shaped charge beam, the first capacitance C and the charging voltage U 0 . Since both the inductance and the capacitance of the short circuit are lower than is the case in conventional applications, this smaller circuit has a significantly lower rate of rise.
- the plate spacing can also be chosen to be smaller than conventional plates, since several are arranged one behind the other. This also contributes to an earlier influence on the tip of the shaped charge beam. Another not insignificant advantage is the fact that the central capacitor is no longer required, since it no longer needs its own space in the vehicle.
- the protection module can be constructed from several protection module parts. This has the advantage that the less important areas that need to be protected can have fewer plates, making the entire protection module lighter. Another advantage that can be realized with sub-modules is the interchangeability of defective sub-modules.
- the protective part modules can be connected to one another in such a way that the capacitors in the bombardment area can be supplied with an additional voltage in the event of a detected attack, in order to increase the rate of increase. It can remain open whether the capacities outside the detected impact point of the shaped charge projectile release their voltage or whether a central source takes over this task.
- Fig. 1 shows the basic structure of an electrical protection module 1, consisting of several successively attached plates P 1 , P 2 , to P n to form several capacitances C 1 to C n .
- Dielectric ceramics 3 are preferably integrated between the plates P 1-n .
- Each of the capacitances C1 to C n is charged to a charging voltage U 0 .
- the shaped charge beam H strikes the first plate P 1 , it short-circuits the first capacitor C 1 (P 1 and P 2 ). With each further penetration of the capacitances C 2-n through the shaped charge beam H, these are successively short-circuited, the shaped charge beam H is weakened and the main mass is rendered ineffective.
- Fig. 2 shows the division of the protection module 1, here on a sketched object 20, into different or divided protection areas 10 or protection part modules. It is possible to make them symmetrical, which makes them easy to replace in the event of a defect, or to allow asymmetry.
- the structure of the sub-modules 10 ' can be constructed thicker in the most important areas to be protected on an object 20 than in other areas.
- the protective part modules 10 can be connected to one another in such a way that, when an attack is detected, the capacitors C 1-n in the bombardment area 11 can be supplied with an additional voltage U, in order thus to increase the current amplitude at these capacitors between the plates.
- a further distribution of the capacitance to C 1 (-n) which is (are) integrated in the protective module 1 / protective part module 10 and a central capacitor, is also conceivable.
- the individual capacitor C 1 (-n) determines the current rise rate at the beginning and is then supplied with the main current by the central capacitor. It goes without saying that combinations of this and the variant already described are also possible.

Description
Fig. 1 ).
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
