Claims (7)

  1. Drive rod gear (1) for locking a leaf (26) of a window or a door, consisting of movable drive rod (32) and a device or means for converting a rotary movement of an operating lever or similar into a translatory movement of the drive rod (32), wherein the device or means consists of a pivotable adapter (4) and a slotted guide and follower connection (11), and a gear wheel (13) is provided which is mounted rotatably in a housing (2) of the drive rod gear (1), and the pivot axes (17, 40) of the adapter (4) and gear wheel (13) lie offset to each other, characterised in that

  6. Drive rod gear according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the pivot axis (20) of the adapter (4) lies in front of the pivot axis (21) of the gear wheel (13) in the direction of the rebate surface (26).
  7. Drive rod gear according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the gear wheel (13) is in a drive connection with at least one intermediate gear (23 or 24) which cooperates with the drive rod (32).
