Description
The invention relates to an air conditioning system, in particular for a motor vehicle, according to the preamble of
Air conditioners are used in motor vehicles to bring the vehicle interior to a comfortable for the vehicle occupant temperature or to keep them. According to the respective requirements, the automotive air conditioning system can act to heat and / or cool the air in the vehicle interior.
In order to avoid that the fresh air stream to be introduced into the vehicle interior contains moisture or also to protect certain components of the air conditioning system from moisture, water separation devices are necessary. Since in today's common vehicles usually a vehicle-side water separation is dispensed with the air conditioning, separated water must be returned as soon as possible from the air conditioning. Known from the prior art devices have this only a breakthrough in the shell, so that water from different parts of the housing must be merged within the plant.
Since the filter area of the air conditioning system usually sits lower than the evaporator, the separated water must be passed through a separate channel or a bypass in the direction of a condensate drain. This is structurally complex or requires space.
Simple merging of two or more water flows across housing partitions is therefore desirable.

The configuration according to the invention makes it possible to combine two or more water flows over housing separations, whereby an effective and structurally simple water separation is realized. Moreover, there is no need for a continuous gradient between an air inlet of the water-carrying air into the air conditioning system and the condensation outlet, which configuration is very space-consuming, so that according to the invention, a better space utilization is achieved.
