Definitions
- the invention relates to a floor cleaning device having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Floor cleaning devices having a housing, on the underside of which at least one rotary or oscillating drivable floor cleaning tool is arranged, wherein the floor cleaning device for cleaning a floor surface by the user by hand in a working direction along the bottom surface can be used, for example, for scrubbing or polishing a floor surface used.
- the floor cleaning device for cleaning a floor surface by the user by hand in a working direction along the bottom surface
- the floor cleaning device for cleaning a floor surface by the user by hand in a working direction along the bottom surface can be used, for example, for scrubbing or polishing a floor surface used.
- To clean the floor surface they are guided by the user in a working direction along the floor surface. If the floor cleaning equipment to be transported from a first location to a second site, they must be worn by the user or they must be placed on a transport device.
- a floor cleaning device in the form of a vacuum cleaner in which a housing is used, are mounted on the front wheels and rear wheels.
- the rear wheels are each held by means of a coupling device releasably attached to an axle, which in turn is rotatably connected via bearings with the housing.
- floor cleaning devices are in DE 10 2005 037 952 A1 .
- Object of the present invention is to provide a floor cleaning device of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be easily transported and deposited the transport wheels when not in use can be easily available to the user when needed.
- the floor cleaning device has transport wheels, which can be rotatably and at any time releasably fixed by the user on the housing arranged on the wheel bearings, preferably without tools, and then he can move the cleaning device by means of transport wheels on a floor surface along. If the floor cleaning device is used to clean a floor surface, the user can remove the transport wheels not required for cleaning from the wheel bearings and store them on or in a storage device of the floor cleaning device.
- the transport wheels are used when the device is to be transported.
- the at least one storage device is used to store the transport wheels when they are not needed.
- the storage device may be configured for example in the form of a storage compartment, a recess or a bag.
- transport wheels optionally positionable on a wheel bearing or a storage device has the advantage that the floor cleaning device can be given a high degree of mobility without the need for elaborate mounting mechanisms for the transport wheels.
- the storage of the transport wheels can be done very space-saving.
- the user can attach the transport wheels in a simple manner - preferably without tools - at the desired location, namely on a wheel bearing or a storage device.
- the at least one storage device is designed as a wheel mount, by means of which a transport wheel can be held immovably on the floor cleaning device.
- the transport wheels are preferably designed such that the floor cleaning device can be transported by means of the transport wheels via steps or stairs.
- the floor cleaning device from a working position, which occupies the device for cleaning the bottom surface, transferred to a transport position in which the floor cleaning device can be transported, wherein the fixed to the wheel bearings transport wheels arranged in the working position of the harrow at a distance from the bottom surface are and contact the floor surface in the transport position of the floor cleaning device.
- the floor cleaning device can be moved back and forth between a working position and a transport position. The working position is taken by the floor cleaning device for cleaning the floor surface. In the working position, the at least one floor cleaning tool contacts the floor surface.
- the floor cleaning device If the floor cleaning device is to be transported, then it can be transferred into a transport position in which the transport wheels fixed to the wheel bearings contact the floor surface, so that the floor cleaning device can be moved by means of the transport wheels. If the floor cleaning device assumes its working position, then the wheel bearings are arranged at such a distance from the floor surface that the transport wheels fixed to the wheel bearings do not contact the floor surface. This has the advantage that the transport wheels can be easily adjusted by the user in the working position of the floor cleaning device to the user Wheel bearings can be fixed without the floor cleaning device must be raised. The installation of the transport wheels on the wheel bearings is thus very easy and can be performed by the user within a short time, preferably without tools.
- the floor cleaning device has two transport wheels, which are rotatable about a common axis of rotation on opposite sides of the housing for transporting the device, and the floor cleaning device is pivotable for transport about the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels.
- the floor cleaning device can be moved in the manner of a sack truck by means of the two transport wheels.
- the floor cleaning device is pivotable about the common axis of rotation of the two transport wheels and can be converted starting from a working position by a pivoting movement in a transport position.
- the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels is aligned parallel to the working direction of the device.
- the floor cleaning device can be moved forward and backward in the working direction. If it is to be subsequently transported, then it can be pivoted to the side about the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels, so that it can subsequently be moved transversely to the working direction.
- the transport wheels can be arranged on a front side and a rear side of the housing, wherein they are each arranged offset relative to a central axis of the floor cleaning device.
- the wheel bearings each bearing a transport wheel can be arranged, for example, in a lateral end region of the front side and the rear side of the housing.
- the positioning of the transport wheels at an end region of the front and rear side of the housing, in which the transport wheels are arranged adjacent to a first longitudinal side, has the advantage that the second longitudinal side of the housing opposite the first longitudinal side is separated from the transport wheels unimpaired. This in turn makes it possible to position the second longitudinal side at a small distance from a wall when an edge area of a floor surface is to be cleaned.
- the floor cleaning device is thus characterized by a good Randwagkeit, that is, it can be arranged at a very small distance to a wall defining the bottom surface to clean the adjacent wall edge portion of the bottom surface.
- the at least one floor cleaning tool is arranged offset in the direction of the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels away from the central axis of the device. Relative to the central axis of the floor cleaning appliance, the at least one floor cleaning tool is thus positioned asymmetrically by having a smaller distance from the longitudinal side of the housing facing away from the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels than to the longitudinal side directly adjacent to the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels. This has a particularly good Randfitkeit the floor cleaning tool result, since the distance of the floor cleaning device to a longitudinal side can be kept very low.
- impact protection elements are arranged on the side of the housing remote from the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels, for example deflection rollers, preferably with a rubber-elastic covering.
- Such impact protection elements in particular about a vertical axis of rotation freely rotatable deflecting rollers have the advantage that the risk of damage to a wall or the floor cleaning device can be kept very low when the floor cleaning device in the smallest possible distance is guided along the wall to clean a peripheral portion of a floor surface.
- a pivotable push bar is provided in an advantageous embodiment. It is advantageous if the floor cleaning device has a locking member, wherein the push handle for transporting the floor cleaning device by means of the locking member can be locked in a vertical position. A locking of the push bar in the vertical position is particularly advantageous if the floor cleaning device can be transported by means of transport wheels in the manner of a sack truck, because this can be used to steer the floor cleaning device during transport of the push bar. In addition, it can be provided that the floor cleaning device is pivotable about the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels by means of the push bar.
- the locking member is preferably movable between a locking position and a release position to and fro.
- the locking member may be associated with an actuator, in particular a foot pedal that can be operated by the user to lock the push handle.
- the locking member is arranged above the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels.
- the locking member may for example be arranged immediately adjacent to a longitudinal side of the housing, wherein the transport wheels at a small distance to this longitudinal side at the front and the back of the housing can be fixed.
- the floor cleaning device can then be easily pivoted about the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels, after previously the push bar was locked in a vertical position by means of the locking member.
- the locking member is in this case easily accessible by the common axis of rotation of the transport wheels adjacent longitudinal side for the user.
- a fixing device is arranged on each of the wheel bearings for fixing the transport wheels.
- the transport wheels each carry a stub axle and the wheel bearings each comprise a stub axle receiving bushing
- the stub axle are axially immovable by means of the fixing in the bearing bush.
- the respective stub axle can be inserted into a bearing bush, and by means of the fixing device, the stub axle are then held immovably on the bearing bush.
- the bearing bushes are preferably formed in a central holding part of the floor cleaning device, wherein the central holding part drive components of at least one floor cleaning tool, in particular its drive motor and its storage, and power transmission elements holds.
- the stable central holding part which is preferably made of metal, in particular of an aluminum material, also ensures stable storage of the transport wheels. This is especially beneficial if you also want to overcome steps by means of the transport wheels.
- the fixing devices may for example comprise at least one clamping element for locking a stub axle in the bearing bush.
- the clamping element can be configured for example in the form of a clamping spring, in particular in the form of a wire clip.
- axle stubs each have an annular groove in which a clamping element engages automatically when inserting the stub axle in a bearing bush.
- This allows a particularly simple fixation of the transport wheels on the wheel bearings.
- the user only has to insert the stub axles of the transport wheels into the associated bearing bush, then the stub axles in the bearing bush are automatically locked. For fixing the transport wheels on the side of the housing thus no tool is required.
- the fixing device comprises an actuating element for releasing the locking of the axle stub.
- the actuating element can be configured, for example, in the form of a pushbutton, by the actuation of which the clamping element can be transferred from a clamping position into a release position.
- the clamping element can be designed, for example, in the form of a wire clip, which clamps or locks the stub axle in the bearing bush.
- the push button By means of the push button, the wire bow can be guided along a sliding surface be, wherein it goes into a release position, so that the stub axle can be removed without hindrance from the bushing.
- the storage devices are arranged at a distance from the housing, preferably on a push handle of the floor cleaning device. This makes it possible to design the housing very flat, so that the working height of the floor cleaning device can be kept low.
- a particularly space-saving design of the floor cleaning appliance is characterized in that the floor cleaning device has two storage devices facing away from each other. These can abut one another directly and be positioned, for example, on a front side and a rear side of a push bar.
- the push bar forms a user-engageable handle and the two storage devices are located immediately below the handle on the push handle.
- the storage devices are preferably designed shell-like. It is advantageous if two cup-like storage facilities are used, which are screwed together, and they conveniently take the push bar of the floor cleaning device between them.
- the transport wheels each carry a stub axle. It is advantageous if the storage devices are designed as wheel mounts, each having a receptacle into which a stub axle is inserted.
- the stub axle can be clamped in the recordings.
- the recordings may have a plurality of jaws which receive a stub axle between them.
- the jaws may be made of an elastically deformable material, in particular of a plastic material. It is particularly advantageous if the clamping jaws are integrally connected to a wheel holder made of plastic in the form of a holding shell.
- the holding shells can each form a support surface on which a transport wheel can be supported in the vertical direction. This allows a reliable storage of the transport wheels during the cleaning operation of the floor cleaning device.
- At least one floor cleaning tool is preferably designed as a rotary brush rotatably mounted about a rotation axis.
- the floor cleaning device preferably has two roller brushes.
- an additional floor cleaning tool is designed as a suction device.
- a floor cleaning tool is designed as a spraying device with the aid of which a floor surface to be cleaned can be sprayed with a cleaning liquid.
- the floor cleaning device is formed in a preferred embodiment as scrubber-drier. This may comprise two parallel brush rolls and a cleaning liquid tank and a dirty liquid tank, wherein from the cleaning liquid tank cleaning liquid applied to the floor surface to be cleaned and dirty cleaning liquid can be transferred from the bottom surface into the dirty liquid tank.
- the floor cleaning device has support elements, for example support rollers or support wheels, which are held in an adjustable manner in the vertical direction on the housing. This makes it possible to adjust the contact pressure which the floor cleaning tool exerts on the floor surface to be cleaned by adjusting the position of the support elements. If the support elements occupy a position which is maximally spaced apart from the floor surface to be cleaned, then the at least one floor cleaning tool can be loaded with the entire weight force of the floor cleaning device and thus exert a large contact pressure on the floor surface to be cleaned. If, instead, the support elements are displaced in the direction of the bottom surface, they can absorb at least part of the weight force of the floor cleaning device during the cleaning of the floor surface and thereby reduce the contact pressure of the floor cleaning tool.
- support elements for example support rollers or support wheels
- the support elements are displaceable downwards out of the housing by pivoting a push bar of the floor cleaning appliance into its vertical position. This gives above all the opportunity to relieve the at least one floor cleaning tool during storage of the floor cleaning device by the entire weight the floor cleaning device is carried in the extended position of the support elements of this.
- a floor cleaning device in the form of a scrubber 10 is shown schematically with a chassis forming housing 12, on the underside 13, a first floor cleaning tool in the form of a front roller brush 14 and a second floor cleaning tool in the form of a rear roller brush 15 are rotatably mounted.
- a push bar 17 is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis 20 aligned perpendicular to a working direction 19.
- support rollers 22 are held displaceable in the vertical direction.
- the support rollers are coupled via a known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing supporting mechanism with the push handle 17 such that they take their extended position shown in the drawing automatically when the push bar 17 is vertically aligned. If the push bar 17 is swung out of the vertical, the support rollers 22 assume a retracted position, in which the two roller brushes 14 and 15 make contact with a floor surface to be cleaned.
- the push bar 17 forms at its upper end portion a user-engageable handle 24, so that it can be taken to guide the scrubber 10 along a floor surface to be cleaned in a simple manner.
- a waste water tank 26 is arranged with a pivotable handle 27, and on the waste water tank 26, a fresh water tank 29 is placed.
- the fresh water tank 29 can be filled with water be filled, to which a cleaning chemical can be added to increase the cleaning effect.
- the fresh water tank 29 is in the usual way via a fresh water line, which is not shown in the drawing to achieve a better overview, with a not apparent from the drawing, known per se spray device in flow communication, which is arranged on the underside of the housing 12, so that fresh water can be sprayed on a floor surface to be cleaned.
- the waste water tank 26 is in the usual manner via a in the drawing to achieve a better overview also not shown dirty water pipe with a bottom side of the housing 12 arranged suction bar in flow communication and can be acted upon by means of a suction unit of the scrubber 10 with negative pressure. This gives the possibility of receiving dirty water from the floor surface to be cleaned and to transfer it into the dirty water tank 26.
- the suction bar and the suction unit are known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing.
- the housing 12 is substantially cuboid-shaped and has a first longitudinal side 31 and a second longitudinal side 32, which are connected to one another via a front side 33 and a rear side 34.
- the housing 12 On the upper side, the housing 12 has a recess 36 into which the dirty water tank 26 is inserted. Adjacent to the recess 36, the housing 12 of the first and second longitudinal side 31, 32 adjacent each have an upper side first and second edge portion 37 and 38, respectively.
- the scrubber 10 can be guided by the user on the floor surface in the direction of work 19 along.
- the scrubber 10 has two transport wheels 40, 41, which can be stored during the cleaning operation of the scrubbing machine 10 each in a storage device.
- the storage devices are designed for immovable mounting of the transport wheels 40, 41 in each case as a wheel holder in the form of a first holding cup 43 and a second holding cup 44.
- the two holding cups 43, 44 are arranged directly below the handle 24 on the push bar 17.
- the holding shells 43, 44 are remote from each other and screwed together by means of connecting screws 46, 47, wherein the push bar 17 between the holding shells 43, 44 extends.
- the holding shells 43, 44 each have a receptacle 49 and 50, which are each defined by three cooperating jaws 52 and 53, respectively.
- the jaws 52 and 53 are integrally connected to the respective holding shell 43 and 44 and like the holding shells themselves made of an elastically deformable plastic material.
- the two transport wheels 40 and 41 each carry a stub axle 55 and 56, which can be clamped under elastic deformation of the jaws 52 and 53 in a receptacle 49 and 50 respectively. In this position, the respective transport wheel 40 and 41 is supported by a support surface 58 and 59 of the holding shells 43, 44 in the vertical direction.
- a first wheel bearing 61 is at the front 33 of the Housing 12 disposed immediately adjacent below the second edge portion 38 of the second longitudinal side 32, and a second wheel bearing 62 is disposed on the rear side 34 below the second edge portion 38 of the second longitudinal side 32 immediately adjacent.
- the two wheel bearings 61, 62 are configured identically. They each have a bearing bush 64 into which a stub axle 55 or 56 can be inserted. This is especially true FIG. 7 clear.
- the bearing bushes 64 are formed in a central holding part 65 for the drive components of the scrubber 10, in particular for the drive motor of the roller brushes 14, 15 and for power transmission elements.
- the stability of the made of an aluminum material holding part 65 is also used for the stable storage of the transport wheels 40, 41. This makes it possible to overcome steps by means of the transport wheels 40, 41 themselves. The considerable weight of the scrubber 10 is thus reliably absorbed by the transport wheels 40, 41.
- the fixed to the wheel bearings 61, 62 transport wheels 40, 41 are freely rotatably mounted on the housing 12 about a common axis of rotation 67.
- the common axis of rotation 67 is aligned parallel to the working direction 19.
- the push bar 17 can be locked in its vertical position.
- the wire bracket 69 engages with a U-shaped locking portion 71 a lower end portion 72 of the push bar 17 and thereby holds this firmly in its vertical position.
- the two wheel bearings 61 and 62 are arranged on the second longitudinal side 32 facing end portion of the front 33 and the back 34, that is, they are positioned offset to the central axis 74 of the scrubber 10 in the direction of the second longitudinal side 32.
- the two roller brushes 14 and 15 to the first longitudinal side 31 offset from the central axis 74 are arranged. This is especially true FIG. 1 and from FIG. 4 clear. They therefore have a very small distance to the first longitudinal side 31, so that when guiding the scrubber 10 along a wall, the roller brushes 14 and 15 occupy only a very small distance to this wall.
- the scrubber 10 is therefore characterized by a good Randloomkeit.
- impact elements in the form of deflecting rollers 76 are arranged relative to the working direction 19 at the level of the front side 33 and at the level of the rear side, which are preferably made of a rubber-elastic material and constitute impact protection for the scrubber-drier 10.
- the wheel bearings 61 and 62 each have a fixing device 78 with a clamping element in the form of a wire bracket 79, a substantially U-shaped clamping portion 80 with a first clamping leg 81 and a second clamping leg 82 and a guide portion 84 having a first guide leg 85 and a second guide leg 86 includes.
- the first guide leg 85 adjoins the free end of the first clamping leg 81, and the second guide leg 86 connects to the free end of the second clamping leg 82.
- the two guide legs 85, 86 are aligned obliquely to each other and are each on a device-fixed sliding surface 88 and 89 at.
- the two clamping legs 81, 82 are integrally connected to each other via a web 91 which rests against a push button 92.
- the push button 92 forms an actuating element of the fixing device 78.
- the stub axles 55 and 56 of the transport wheels 40 and 41 each have an annular groove 94 and 95, respectively. If the stub axles 55, 56 are each inserted into a bearing bush 64, the wire bow 79 with the two clamping legs 81, 82 automatically snaps into the respective annular groove 94, 95, so that the respective transport wheel 40, 41 in the axial direction of the stub axle 55 or 56 is held immovably in the bearing bush 64.
- the user merely has to actuate the pushbutton 92 so that the wire bracket 69 engages the respective axle stub 55 and 56 releases and the user can remove the stub axle 55, 56 from the bearing bush 64 without the aid of tools. Subsequently, the respective transport wheel 40 or 41 can be positioned for storage on the holding shell 43 or 44.
- the two wheel bearings 61 and 62 are positioned in the vertical direction such that the transport wheels 40, 41 are arranged on the wheel bearings 61 and 62 above the lower edge 97 of the roller brushes 14 and 15, respectively, when the scrubber 10 is in its working position in particular FIG. 4 clear.
