Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for adjusting a hearing device.
- one or more parameters of the hearing device are automatically adapted.
- the present invention relates to a corresponding hearing device.
- hearing device is understood to mean any sound-emitting device that can be worn in / on the ear or on the head, in particular a hearing device, a headset, headphones and the like.
- Hearing aids are portable hearing aids that are used to care for the hearing impaired.
- different types of hearing aids such as behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTE), hearing aid with external receiver (RIC: receiver in the canal) and in-the-ear hearing aids (IDO), e.g. Concha hearing aids or canal hearing aids (ITE, CIC).
- BTE behind-the-ear hearing aids
- RIC hearing aid with external receiver
- IDO in-the-ear hearing aids
- ITE canal hearing aids
- the hearing aids listed by way of example are worn on the outer ear or in the ear canal.
- bone conduction hearing aids, implantable or vibrotactile hearing aids are also available on the market. The stimulation of the damaged hearing takes place either mechanically or electrically.
- Hearing aids have in principle as essential components an input transducer, an amplifier and an output transducer.
- the input transducer is usually a sound receiver, z. As a microphone, and / or an electromagnetic receiver, for. B. an induction coil.
- the output transducer is usually used as an electroacoustic transducer, z. As miniature speaker, or as an electromechanical transducer, z. B. bone conduction, realized.
- the amplifier is usually integrated in a signal processing unit. This basic structure is in FIG. 1 shown using the example of a behind-the-ear hearing aid. In a hearing aid housing 1 for Carrying behind the ear, one or more microphones 2 are installed for recording the sound from the environment.
- a signal processing unit 3 which is also integrated in the hearing aid housing 1, processes the microphone signals and amplifies them.
- the output signal of the signal processing unit 3 is transmitted to a loudspeaker or earpiece 4, which outputs an acoustic signal.
- the sound is optionally transmitted via a sound tube, which is fixed with an earmold in the ear canal, to the eardrum of the device carrier.
- the power supply of the hearing device and in particular the signal processing unit 3 is effected by a likewise integrated into the hearing aid housing 1 battery. 5
- Modern digital hearing aids such as the one just described, learn from their user preferred settings in terms of volume and sound. Learning takes place depending on the input signal.
- time constants are usually determined. These time constants are then defined for a platform and derived in the different products. Problems often arise when the user uses not only a hearing program, but several hearing programs. In this case, the learning time is reduced under the assumption that the duration of wear per day is constant, but distributed approximately equally over the different programs. However, this assumption does not necessarily correspond to individual usage, so the device either learns too fast or too slowly in individual programs.
- time constants are generally predefined and configured based on the number of programs or their fictitious service life (e.g., telephoning).
- the object of the present invention is therefore to better adapt a hearing device and in particular a hearing device to the individual use of a wearer of the hearing device.
- this object is achieved by a method for adapting a hearing device, recording data relating to at least one setting of the hearing device together with direct or indirect time information, automatically determining a time period in which the at least one setting was / is activated, and automatically adapting at least a parameter of the hearing device as a function of the determined time duration and the at least one setting.
- a hearing device comprising a data logging device for recording data relating to at least one setting of the hearing device together with direct or indirect time information, an evaluation device for automatically determining a time period in which the at least one setting was activated, and an adaptation device for automatically adapting at least one parameter of the hearing device as a function of the determined duration and the at least one setting.
- the learning of programs that are on average very little used can be done relatively quickly, while more time is spent on learning in longer-term programs.
- the learning time for frequently used programs can be set at 60 hours, whereas the learning time for a less used program should be only 1 hour.
- a long learning time is e.g. unfavorable if a hearing aid wearer always makes short phone calls. Therefore, in this case the telephone program should be adapted as quickly as possible or the respective parameters should be learned as quickly as possible.
- rapid learning is accompanied by a loss of quality, this does not matter, since the program is used only little anyway.
- the setting of the method according to the invention preferably corresponds to an activation of a hearing program. This means that datalogging records how long a listening program is used. Consequently, as mentioned above, the adaptation can take place as a function of the useful life of a program, so that programs which have been used for a long time can be adapted very finely.
- the setting of the hearing device can also affect the volume or the sound. This can also adapt individual parameters are individually controlled depending on use.
- the parameter to be adapted may be a time constant or a determination time.
- filter algorithms e.g., noise algorithms
- filter algorithms can be finer or coarser adapted depending on the individual usage time.
- the parameter to be adapted is changed continuously. As a result, the hearing aid wearer or the user adaptation was less.
- a method according to the invention for adapting a hearing device thus begins by recording data in the hearing aid in accordance with step S1.
- This is a data logging, ie data is recorded together with time information.
- This time information can be explicitly recorded or the time information is implicitly included in the data so that it can be reconstructed.
- a corresponding hearing aid thus has a data logging unit that can record data.
- the recorded data is raw data r, which can be reproduced as needed.
- step S2 the raw data r is evaluated in time.
- the temporal evaluation takes place here in dependence on n programs.
- the temporal evaluation results in the useful lives T n of the individual programs.
- the temporal evaluation frequencies f n can be determined, which indicate how frequently each program has been changed.
- This time data (here duration of use and frequency of change per program) are fed to a further evaluation according to step S3.
- the useful lives T n and changing frequencies f n are used to determine the learning time t 1n .
- This means that learning times are determined for the individual usage behavior for each program. These learning times are used for learning according to step S4.
- step S1 performed in a recording and storage device.
- the temporal evaluations according to the steps S2 and S3 can be carried out in a correspondingly designed computer unit.
- the adaptation according to step S4 takes place in an adaptation device which uses the results of the calculation or evaluation device.
- a time constant or an averaging time can be adapted according to the individual use of the different programs.
- the necessary information about the useful life of the individual programs is known to the device from the Datalogging.
- the determined service life per program is used to adaptively and possibly continuously derive a suitable time constant for the learning function.

Abstract
Description
FIG 1 am Beispiel eines Hinter-dem-Ohr-Hörgeräts dargestellt.
- FIG 1
