Definitions
- the invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such lamps are in particular high-pressure discharge lamps with a ceramic discharge vessel or quartz glass vessel for general lighting.
- the US Pat. No. 4,992,700 discloses a high pressure discharge lamp using a metal halide fill.
- the high-pressure discharge lamp is used to generate green radiation and contains bromide or iodide of thallium as the metal halide.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure discharge lamp with metal halide filling, which achieves the best possible maintenance.
- Colored lamps are gaining increasing market significance as an effect light in architectural lighting.
- the invention relates to green emitting metal halide lamps. Besides the good maintenance there are basically even more goals: 1. high radiation power in the countryside. 2. High color saturation.
- TlJ The fillings used to date for green emission usually use TlJ.
- TlBr was also investigated but never used.
- the use of a mixture has never been seriously considered, as it promised no additional benefits, but is more expensive to produce since the mixture must be controlled and adjusted.
- a filling of a mixture TlBr + TlJ shows a better maintenance than the previous filling of TlJ on the one hand and pure TlBr and a mixture of TlJ + TlBr + TlCl on the other hand.
- the maintenance ie the constancy of the power radiated in the green spectral range is thereby improved, without deteriorating the other important variable, the color saturation.
- the proportion of TlJ is at least 25 wt .-% and at most 75 wt .-%.
- the filling amount of the total Tl halide is between 0.1 and 1 mg per ml discharge volume. Particularly preferred is a value between 0.2 and 1.0 mg / ml for lamps in the power range from 35 to 150W and a value between 0.1 and 0.6 mg / ml for lamps from 175 to 1000W.
- the inventive concept is particularly suitable for small and medium power lamps in the range 15 to 1000 W.
- FIG. 1a schematically shows a metal halide lamp 1. It consists of a discharge vessel 2 made of quartz glass, in which two electrodes 3 are inserted. The discharge vessel has a central part 5 and two ends 4. At the ends sit two bruises. 6
- the discharge vessel 2 is surrounded by an outer bulb 7.
- the discharge vessel 2 is supported in the outer bulb by means of a rack including a short and long power supply 11a and 11b.
- the discharge vessel contains a filling which typically comprises Hg (3 to 30 mg / cm 3 ) and 0.1 to 1 mg / cm 3 halide of thallium.
- a filling typically comprises Hg (3 to 30 mg / cm 3 ) and 0.1 to 1 mg / cm 3 halide of thallium.
- argon is used under a pressure of 30 to 300 hPa cold. As a result, a green-emitting metal halide lamp is realized.
- FIG. 1b shows a second embodiment with a discharge vessel 2 made of quartz glass, on which an integrated outer bulb 10 is attached without a frame is needed.
- the filling is similar to the embodiment of the FIG. 1a ,
- FIG. 2 shows a diagram in which the maintenance of different fillings of Tl-halide for a 250 W lamp were compared. It shows that pure TlBr (curve b) and pure TlJ (curve a) show by far the worst behavior.
- the radiation power in the green spectral range decreases from the reference point after 100 hours up to 6000 hours to a maximum of 80% when using mixtures.
- mixtures of TlJ and TlBr show significantly better values if the proportion of TlJ lies between 25 (curve d) and 75% by weight (curve c).
- Outstanding values are achieved when the proportion of TII is in the range of 40 to 60% by weight. Shown is the behavior for 60% by weight (curve e) and 50% by weight (curve f).
- FIG. 3 shows a diagram for 400 W lamps, in which the maintenance of a mixture 55 wt .-% TlJ with 45 wt .-% TlBr (curve a) is compared with pure TlJ (curve b) and TlBr (curve c) on the one hand, and on the other hand, with a triple mixture (curve d) of proportions of TlJ (70 wt .-%), TlBr (20 wt .-%) and TlCl (10 wt .-%).
- TlJ 70 wt .-%
- TlBr 20 wt .-%
- TlCl 10 wt .-%

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- eine Hochdruckentladungslampe mit Entladungsgefäß mit separatem Außenkolben (a) und integriertem Außenkolben (b);
- Fig. 2
- ein Diagramm, das die Maintenance für verschiedene Füllungen zeigt bei 250 W-Lampen;
