Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain fitting with odor trap, comprising a housing having a drain, which forms a housing chamber, and with a extending into the housing chamber immersion tube, which is spaced from the housing base and the housing limits a reservoir volume in the form of an annular space, wherein of the Reservoir volume a nozzle for connection to a piping system, wherein in the housing, the reservoir volume is connected to the interior of the nozzle connecting port portion is provided, and wherein the odor trap is effected by means provided in the dip tube and in the reservoir volume sealing water, wherein a structural element is provided which enlarges the flow cross-section of a flow channel leading from the interior of the dip tube to the nozzle connection section and is thus designed such that it causes a change in the flow behavior in the flow channel.
- a drain fitting is from the US Pat. No. 3,651,826 known.
- a comparable drain fitting is also in the DE 20 2005 017 965 U1 and the DE 10 2006 053 751 A1 disclosed.
- Drain fittings with odor trap are already known in the art.
- the patent application EP 0 634 530 A1 discloses an odor trap which has a ball floatable in the sealing water. Does that fall Locked water level at a level ensuring the odor trap, for example, because a large part of the sealing water has been sucked by a negative pressure in the drain system connected to the drain, the ball settles in a arranged on the dip tube ball seat and thus mechanically prevents the ingress of gases from the sewer system the drainage room.
- the present invention is based on the object to provide a drain fitting with odor trap, which optimizes the flow conditions of draining water.
- the construction element is formed by a partial, thus only over a certain portion of the circumference of the housing (4) extending, relative to the annular space (14) radially outwardly recess (20) in the nozzle connection portion (16a).
- part of the sealing water remains in the reservoir volume and can ensure the odor trap. If the level of the sealing water has reached approximately the height of the end face of the immersion tube facing the housing base due to the pressure conditions, there is a risk that the sealing water will be drawn off to such an extent by the passage of air through the immersion tube and the reservoir volume into the connection or the conduit system the odor trap after the end of the pressure disturbance can not be reliably restored.
- the drain fitting according to the present invention With the configuration of the drain fitting according to the present invention, it becomes possible to hold the amount of sealing water necessary for the odor trap in the reservoir volume even when air is sucked into the piping system through the drain, the dip tube and the reservoir volume.
- the flow cross-section of the flow channel leading from the interior of the dip tube to the nozzle connection section-that is, substantially in the reservoir volume- is modified in such a way that an air channel forms in the sealing water located in the flow channel, through which air sucked in via the outlet can enter the line system.
- drain fittings can be designed with flatter and thus space-saving design. As a result, in particular the installation of such a drain fitting is simplified.
- the provision of the sealing water in the reservoir volume ensures the restoration of the odor trap by means of sealing water even with repeated pressure disturbances.
- the appropriately designed drain fitting is thus particularly suitable for connection to piping systems in which pressure fluctuations occur more frequently.
- the dip tube widens inwards towards the housing base. In this way, the flow conditions of running water in the dip tube and in the surrounding reservoir volume, thus in the flow channel to be optimized.
- the dip tube has a concave curvature, the volume of the reservoir volume in relation to the volume of the dip tube can be increased, so that the reservoir volume provides more space for holding of sealing water.
- the partial depression causes in particular a cross-sectional widening of the flow channel and thus a pressure reduction in the water, which flows through the flow channel at a pressure prevailing in the line system negative pressure.
- the pressure reduction leads, in particular, to the fact that-as soon as air is drawn in-a stable air channel is formed by the interface between air and water, for example in the dip tube, as far as the nozzle connection section.
- the reservoir volume can advantageously hold a quantity of sealing water necessary for the restoration of the odor trap.
- the partial recess is formed in the nozzle connection portion so that it is immediately upstream of the nozzle in the flow direction. As a result, the formation of an air duct can be specifically promoted in the event of a pressure disturbance.
- a retaining barrier retaining the sealing water in the reservoir volume is arranged, and the vertical distance between the housing base and the nozzle barrier is preferably between 30 mm and 50 mm. In this way, a particularly flat and therefore easy to install design of the drain fitting can be ensured.
- the partial depression may extend approximately to the height of the nozzle barrier. In this way, the formation of the air duct in the case of a negative pressure can be influenced up to the level of the maximum possible in the reservoir volume Sperrwasserpegels.
- the reservoir volume approximately at the level of the nozzle barrier and / or the recess on a radially outwardly extended portion.
- the extended section for receiving in particular from the dip tube Withschogenem barrier water, and thus as a kind of additional barrier water receiving volume, act.
- an increased amount of sealing water can be kept available, which helps to restore after the decay of the pressure disturbance a reliable function of the odor trap ensuring sealing water level in the reservoir volume and in the dip tube.
- the nozzle connection portion preferably connects the extended portion to the interior of the nozzle.
- the barrier water stored in the above-mentioned additional barrier water receiving volume can thus flow back into the lower part of the reservoir volume or into the dip tube by the action of gravity.
- the construction element is preferably designed such that a complete suction of the sealing water from the reservoir volume caused by pressure fluctuations in a line system connected to the drain fitting is prevented.
- the design of the construction element for example the depth and / or the shape of a partial recess at the nozzle connection section, is preferably in coordination with individual specific parameters or any combination of these specific parameters of the drain fitting, for example, the volumes of the dip tube and the reservoir volume, the intervals between sequence and housing base or housing base and nozzle barrier, and, where appropriate, taking into account the usually occurring in piping pressure fluctuations.
- a mandrel in the dip tube preferably only in the expanded portion of the dip tube, that is not beyond, extend.
- a formation of depressions on the housing base which can affect the flow conditions, be prevented.
- the risk of deposits in the storage space of running water in the middle of the housing base is reduced.
- the flow cross-section between the end face of the immersion tube facing the housing base and the housing base and / or between the end face of the immersion tube facing the housing base and the housing wall radially outwardly limiting the reservoir volume is the smallest and increases immediately thereafter.
- the flow cross section is smaller than at any other point of the flow channel.
- the flow cross-section is greatest in the region of the partial depression. The largest flow cross-section can be widened by more than 10%, in particular by more than 20%, compared to the smallest flow cross-section.
- such an embodiment has an advantageous effect on the formation of an air channel for "short-circuiting" the drainage space with the line system in the case of a pressure difference, which not only stops for a short time.
- the reservoir volume can be designed, for example, as an annular space, in particular a torus. But there are also other fulfilling the same function, geometric shapes of the reservoir volume possible.
- Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the drain fitting 2 with odor trap according to the present invention.
- a circular in this example 6 is incorporated.
- a edge-supported screen or a edge-supported filter (not shown) can be placed in order to prevent the penetration of solids into the housing chamber 4a.
- a dip tube 8 is fixed to the housing 4, which extends into the housing chamber 4a until shortly before the housing base 10 and is thus spaced therefrom.
- the dip tube 8 has a concave curvature in this example, whereby the flow behavior of a running through the drain fitting 2 fluid, such as water, favorably influenced and the volume of the dip tube 8 can be reduced.
- an approximately conical mandrel 12 is arranged, which extends over the plane of the lower end face of the dip tube 8 in the direction of the drain 6 in the dip tube. 8 extends.
- the mandrel 12 advantageously prevents the formation of depressions on the housing base 10, which adversely affect the flow behavior and in which deposits can settle.
- annular space 14 has at one point a nozzle connection portion 16a and a nozzle 16 for the connection of the drain fitting 2 to a line system (not shown), for example, a Radiowasser- or gray water pipe system on.
- a line system for example, a Radiowasser- or gray water pipe system on.
- the annular space 14 has a radially outwardly widened section 21 arranged just below the nozzle barrier 18 in order to create an additional volume in the annular space 14 for receiving sealing water (not shown).
- the nozzle connection portion 16a is slightly below the barrier height in this example partial, radially outward recess 20, which acts as a structural element.
- the partial depression 20 modifies the flow cross-section of the flow channel leading from the interior of the dip tube 8 to the nozzle connection section 16a. Due to the partial depression 20, it is possible, in the case of a negative pressure in the connected line system, to channel the flow of the air sucked in at the drain 6 so that a large part of the sealing water (not shown) is not sucked away in the annular space 14. Much more a part of the sealing water during the pressure disturbance in the annular space 14 can be kept. After the release of the pressure disturbance, the so-held barrier water can flow back into the dip tube 8 and restore the required for the odor trap sealing water level.
- Fig. 2a shows in a schematic cross-sectional view of the drain fitting 2 from Fig. 1 ,
- the immersion tube 8 and the annular space 14, as far as possible are filled with sealing water (hatched area) up to the maximum height 22 of the nozzle barrier 18 at the nozzle connection section 16a.
- sealing water hatchched area
- In the in Fig. 2a shown normal state prevail both in the discharge space above the drain 6 and in the pipe system to which the drain fitting 2 is connected via the nozzle 16, equal pressures p 1 and p 2 .
- the sealing water thus reliably prevents the ingress of gases from the conduit system into the drainage space.
- Fig. 2c It is shown how a complete suction of the sealing water from the annular space 14 is prevented via the nozzle barrier 18 in the conduit system according to the present invention. Due to the partial recess 20 in the nozzle connection portion 16a on the annular space 14, the flow behavior of the sucked from the drain 6 air (dashed arrows 30) is channeled so that only a small portion of the reproached in the annular space 14 sealing water is lost. The sucked air is supplied to the conduit system via the nozzle 16 to form an air channel 32 in the sealing water.
- the flow conditions shown here are to be understood as schematic or by way of example and, depending on the design of the construction element which modifies the flow cross section of the flow channel leading from the interior of the dip tube 8 to the nozzle connection section 16a, assume a different shape. As long as the pressure difference p 2 > p 1 persists, despite the air channel 32, the odor trap of the drain fitting 2 is ensured, because the flow direction of the air prevents gases from entering the drainage system through the drain fitting 2 in the drainage chamber.
- Fig. 2d finally shows the state of the drain fitting 2 after the balance of the pressures p 2 and p 1 .
- the in the annular space 14th - Especially advantageously in the radially outward widened portion 21 as additional sealing water receiving volume - held barrier water can now flow back into the dip tube 8 (solid arrow 34) until the sealing water level in the dip tube 8 and in the annulus 14 are approximately at the same height 36.
- the volumes of the dip tube 8 - by the formation of a concave curvature - and the annulus 14 - taking into account the partial recess 20 and the radially outwardly widened portion 21 - are adapted in this example to each other so that the sealing water level in the annulus 14 of the level 22 of the nozzle barrier 18 drops to the next lower level shown 36.
- the next lower level 36 from the housing base 10 in the vertical direction 38 by about 30 mm, in particular 32 mm, spaced. In this way, a drain fitting 2 can be implemented with reliable odor trap even with low height.

Description
US 3,651,826 A bekannt.
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2a-d

- In
