- the cover In order to position the cover frame by means of fasteners in a desired position exactly on the pool wall and on the overflow body, it is advantageous if the cover has at least two fastener passage openings for the passage of a respective fastening means.
- a symmetrical clamping of the cover frame by means of the fastening means can be achieved in particular that the fastening means are arranged symmetrically to a transverse center plane and / or symmetrically to a longitudinal center plane of the cover off-center on the cover, so that the central region of the water inlet opening The cover must not be covered by a web with a fastener passage opening.
- Tolerance compensation during assembly of the cover frame to the overflow body can be achieved particularly effective in that at least one fastener passage opening of the cover is opened by a channel to an outer edge of the cover.
- This outer edge of the cover frame can, in particular, overlie the water inlet opening of the cover frame.
- the edge of the opening through the channel to the outer edge of the cover towards the fastener passage opening may yield slightly during assembly of the cover to the overflow body, which allows the desired tolerance compensation during assembly of the cover to the overflow body.
- the basin according to the invention can in principle be used in any desired manner, for example as a basin of a washbasin or as a shower tray or bathtub.
- the overflow assembly according to the invention is particularly suitable for use on a basin which forms part of a sink.
- the cover frame of the overflow assembly according to the invention may be provided with frame-side holding elements in the form of flanged retaining lugs, which serve as spring elements and have a resilient action to produce a clamping of the cover on the cover frame.
- the upper edge of the retaining lugs formed on the frame-side holding elements can serve at the same time as a spacer for the cover.

- the cover element 136 is thereby releasably secured to the cover frame 120 of the overflow assembly 130, that it is pushed with the element-side support members 218 ahead of the frame-side support members 198 of the cover 120, wherein the frame-side support members 198 and / or the element-side support members 218 deform resiliently, until, in a covering position of the cover element 136 on the cover frame 120, the frame-side retaining elements 198 engage in each case with one of the element-side retaining elements 218, as shown in FIG Fig. 11 is shown.
- the positioning regions 228 of the element-side holding elements 228 move along the lateral edges of the frame-side holding elements 198 facing the vertical transverse center plane 196 of the cover frame 120, thereby preventing tilting of the covering element 136 relative to the covering frame 120 when the covering element 136 is pushed onto the covering frame 120 ,
- the distance between the outer surfaces of the positioning areas 228 of the upper element-side holding elements 218a, 218b and the lower element-side holding elements 218c, 218d in the longitudinal direction 232 of the cover element 136 is substantially the same as the distance between the mutually facing lateral edges of the upper frame-side Holding elements 198a, 198b and the lower frame-side support members 198c, 198d in the longitudinal direction 206 of the cover 120, so that the cover 136 by the respectively arranged between two frame-side support members 198 positioning portions 228 of the element-side support members 218 against displacement relative to the cover 120 in whose longitudinal direction 206 is secured.
- the cover member 136 Since in the covering position of the cover member 136 on the cover frame 120, the left frame-side support members 198a and 198c are disposed between the left-side support members 218a and 218c and the right-side support members 198b and 198d are disposed between the right-side support members 218b and 218d, the cover member 136 is also secured against displacement relative to the cover frame 120 in its transverse direction 208.
- the cover element 136 is thereby rotated about an axis of rotation running essentially vertically through the two frame-side holding elements 198a, 198b arranged above one another, without this rotational movement being hindered by the positioning regions 228 of the element-side holding elements 218 located between the frame-side holding elements 198.
- the operator's hand can engage the second lateral end region 238b of the cover element 136, which protrudes into the interior 106 of the basin 100 and the first lateral end region 238a, in order completely to remove the cover element 136 from the cover frame 120 subtract.
- an annular circumferential gap 242 can enter through the water from the interior 106 of the basin 100 through the water inlet opening 138 of the cover 120 in the water inlet chamber 168 of the overflow body 132, from where the water can then flow through the drainage channel 210 down into the drain pipe.
- the overflow body 132 is moved from the outside of the basin 100 against the outside 144 of the pool wall 104 so that the contact area 140 of the overflow body 132 via the sealing element 150 on the outside 144th the pool wall 104 abuts and surrounds the overflow opening 112 of the pool wall 104.
- the cover frame 120 is positioned on the pool wall 104 such that the fastener passage openings 184 on the retaining tabs 186 of the cover frame 120 coaxial with the through holes 166 on the end walls 164 of the receiving body 160 and disposed coaxially with the nuts 182 in the receiving spaces 162 of the overflow body 132 and are aligned.
- the fastening means 134 are guided in the form of screws 170 from the interior 106 of the basin 100 forth through the fastener passage openings 184 of the cover 120 and through the through holes 166 in the end walls 164 of the receiving body 160 and into the internal thread of the nuts 182 in the receiving spaces 162nd of the overflow body 132 until the screw heads 172 abut the retaining tabs 186, whereby the abutment flange 188 of the cover 120 against the main surface 108 of the pool wall 104 and at the same time the overflow body 132 against the outside 144 of the pool wall 104 is pressed.
- cover member 136 is positioned in the manner already described above by sliding the element-side support members 218 on the frame-side support members 198 of the cover 120 on the cover 120 and held by the elastic clamping force between the frame-side support members 198 and the element-side support members 218 in this position.
- FIG. 14 illustrated second embodiment of a cover 120 differs from that in the Fig. 8 and 9 illustrated embodiment only in that the fastener passage openings 184 are formed on the retaining tabs 186 is not circularly closed, but instead opened by a respective channel 244 to an edge 246 of the respectively associated retaining tab 186, which bounds the water inlet opening 138 of the cover 120 are.
- the opened fastener passage openings 184 of this second embodiment of the cover 120 allow a tolerance compensation in the mounting of the cover 120 to the overflow body 132, as provided with the channel 244 retaining tab 186 can give something.
- the abutment flange 188, the jacket region 192 and the frame region 194 of the cover frame 120 remain as stable in deformation as in the first embodiment of the cover frame 120.
- the second embodiment of the cover frame 120 and the overflow assembly 130 embodying the same correspond in structure to those in FIG Fig. 8 and 9 illustrated in the first embodiment, reference is made to the above description in this regard.
