Dadurch wird die Hitzebeständigkeit des Kennzeichnungsschilds erhöht, während es gleichzeitig durch seinen Grundkörper aus Kunststoff eine hinreichende Elastizität aufweist. Wenn sich der Kunststoff in seiner Farbe deutlich von der Farbe des Überzugs unterscheidet, ist mittels eines Graviergeräts durch stellenweise Ablösung des Überzugs ein Farbkontrast erzielbar, der eine gute Identifizierung der Kennzeichnung ermöglicht. Des Weiteren können die erfindungsgemäßen Kennzeichnungsschilder an einem oder mehreren Trägerelementen einstückig angeformt sein, so dass sie einen Kennzeichnungsschildersatz bilden, dessen Kennzeichnungsschilder in einer Aufspannung im Beschriftungsgerät beschriftbar sind. Zweckmäßig wird zunächst mittels eines Spritzguß- oder Extrusionsverfahrens ein Grundelement des Trägerelements aus Kunststoff mit einstückig angeformten Grundkörpern der Kennzeichnungsschilder hergestellt.
