Claims (17)

  1. Method for dismantling the straightening assemblies (1, 1') of a machine for straightening a flat object, comprising:
    - means for controlling the feeding of the product (M) following a longitudinal axis (0), along a feed plane (P),
    - a fixed support frame (3) with two pillars (31, 31') separated on each side of the longitudinal axis,
    - two straightening assemblies, being respectively a lower assembly (1') resting on a fixed beam (32) and an upper assembly (1) resting on a pressure frame (34), each straightening assembly forming a cartridge (1, 1') comprising a plurality of discretely spaced rolls (11, 11'), mounted so as to rotate on a chassis (10, 10') about axes perpendicular to the longitudinal feed axis (0),
    - means (2) for detachable fixing of the chassis (10) of the upper assembly (1) on the pressure frame (34),
    - means (30) for vertical movement of the pressure frame (34) for regulating an interlocking of the rolls of the two assemblies (1, 1'),
    - means (35) for driving the rolls to rotate, placed on one side of the frame (3) and connected to at least some of the rolls (11, 11') by an extension bar (36, 36') with a first end driven to rotate and a second end equipped with a detachable coupling mechanism (14, 14') with an end (13, 13') for driving the roll (11, 11'), said extension bars (36, 36') being arranged on two levels, being respectively a lower level (1') of coupling with the rolls (11') of the lower assembly (1') and an upper level of coupling with the rolls (11) of the upper assembly (1),
    - means (16) for dismantling each of the two straightening assemblies in the form of cartridges (1, 1') by movement perpendicular to the feed axis (0), between a working position inside the frame (3) and a withdrawn position separated laterally on a side of the frame (3) opposite to the driving side,
    characterised in that the two straightening assemblies (1, 1') are removed from the frame separately as follows:
    - locking the coupling ends (14') of the whole group of lower extension bars (36') at a first level (H1) of dismantling of the lower assembly (1'),
    - withdrawing the lower cartridge (1') by sliding on the same level, perpendicular to the feed axis (0), up to a withdrawal platform (4) placed on a side of the frame (3) opposite to the driving side,
    - conveying the lower cartridge (1') to a maintenance position,
    - depositing a dismantling carriage (5) on the withdrawal platform (4),
    - introducing the dismantling carriage (5) into the frame (3) by sliding on the same level, perpendicular to the feed axis (O),
    - depositing the upper cartridge (1) on the dismantling carriage (5) by lowering of the pressure frame (34),
    - locking the coupling ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36) at a second level (H2) of dismantling of the upper cartridge (1),
    - opening the detachable means (2) for fixing the upper cartridge (1) on the pressure frame (34),
    - raising the pressure frame (34),
    - withdrawing the upper carriage (1) by sliding from the dismantling carriage (5) on the same level, perpendicular to the feed axis (0), up to the withdrawal platform (4),
    - positioning the upper cartridge (1) in a maintenance position.
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that, following maintenance or replacement, the straightening assemblies are positioned in the frame (3) in the following manner:
    - depositing a new upper cartridge (1a) on the dismantling carriage (5) placed on the withdrawal platform (4),
    - introducing the upper cartridge into the frame (3) by transverse sliding, on the same level, from the dismantling carriage (5), with engagement of the driving ends (13a) of the upper rolls (11) in the coupling mechanisms (14) of the upper extension bars (36) locked at the second level of dismantling (H2),
    - closing the detachable means (2) for fixing the upper cartridge (1a) on the pressure frame (34),
    - unlocking the upper extension bars,
    - raising the pressure frame (34) with the upper cartridge (1a) and the upper extension bars (36),
    - withdrawing the dismantling carriage (5) by transverse sliding up to the withdrawal platform (4),
    - removing the dismantling carriage (5) from the withdrawal platform (4),
    - depositing a new lower cartridge (1'a) on the withdrawal platform (4),
    - introducing the lower cartridge (1'a) into the frame (3), by transverse sliding on the same level, with engagement of the driving ends (13'a) of the lower rolls (11'a) in the coupling mechanisms (14') of the lower extension bars (36') locked at the first level of dismantling (H1).
  3. Method according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the beam (32) and the withdrawal platform (4) are equipped with aligned guide rails (41', 41), which are orthogonal to the feed axis (0), for sliding, on the same level, the lower cartridge (1') and the dismantling carriage (5) respectively.
  4. Method according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the locking of the extension bars, upper (36) and lower (36') respectively, for dismantling the straightening assemblies (1, 1') is carried out in the following manner:
    - raising a lower plate (6') up to the point of contact with the whole group of lower extension bars (36') to take up the latter,
    - positioning an intermediate plate (7) above the lower extension bars (36'),
    - clamping the coupling ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') between the lower plate (6') and the intermediate plate (7) to lock said lower extension bars (36') at a first level of dismantling (H1),
    - lowering the upper assembly (1) onto the dismantling carriage (5),
    - bringing the intermediate plate (7) into contact with the coupling ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36),
    - lowering an upper plate (6) down to the point of contact with the coupling ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36),
    - clamping said upper coupling ends (14) between the intermediate plate (7) and the upper plate (6) to lock the upper extension bars (36) at a second level of dismantling (H2).
  5. Method according to claim 4, characterised in that following the bringing of the lower plate (6') into contact with the ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36'), at a first level of dismantling (H1) of the lower cartridge (1'), the position of the lower plate (6') corresponding to this first level (H1) is recorded, the whole group of the lower plate (6') together with the ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') and the intermediate plate (7) is raised up to the point of contact of the intermediate plate (7) with the ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36), at a second level of dismantling (H2) of the upper cartridge (1) lying on the dismantling carriage (5) and, following reassembly of the upper cartridge (1a) with engagement of the upper coupling mechanisms (14) at this second level of dismantling (H2), the whole group of the lower plate (6') together with the ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') and the intermediate plate (7) is returned by moving the lower plate (6') to the first level of dismantling (H1) recorded previously to reassemble the lower cartridge (1'a) on the beam with engagement of the lower coupling ends (14').
  6. Machine for straightening a flat object, comprising a device for dismantling the straightening assemblies (1, 1'), having:
    - means for controlling the feeding of the product (M) following a longitudinal axis (0), along a feed plane (P),
    - a fixed support frame (3) with two pillars (31, 31') separated on each side of the longitudinal axis (0),
    - two straightening assemblies, being respectively a lower assembly (1') resting on a fixed beam and an upper assembly (1) resting on a pressure frame (34), each straightening assembly forming a cartridge comprising a plurality of discretely spaced rolls (11, 11'), mounted so as to rotate on a chassis (10, 10') about axes perpendicular to the longitudinal feed axis (O),
    - means (2', 2) for detachable fixing of the chassis (10) of the upper assembly (1) on the pressure frame (34),
    - means (30) for vertical movement of the pressure frame (34) for regulating an interlocking of the rolls of the two assemblies (1, 1'),
    - means (35) for driving the rolls (11, 11') to rotate, placed on one side of the frame (3) and connected to at least some of the rolls (11, 11') by an extension bar (36, 36') with a first end driven to rotate and a second end equipped with a detachable coupling mechanism (14, 14') with an end (13, 13') for driving the roll (11, 11'), said extension bars (36, 36') being arranged on two levels, being respectively a lower level (H1) of coupling with the rolls (11') of the lower assembly (1') and an upper level (H2) of coupling with the rolls (11) of the upper assembly (1),
    - means (16) for dismantling the straightening assemblies by movement of each cartridge (1, 1') perpendicular to the feed axis (0), between a working position inside the frame (3) and a withdrawn position separated laterally on a side of the frame (3) opposite to the driving side, characterised in that it comprises:
    - a withdrawal platform (4) arranged on the side of the frame (3) opposite to the driving side and on which is embodied a first guideway (41) aligned with a second guideway (41') embodied on the beam (32), said first (41) and second (41') guideways being orthogonal to the feed axis (0),
    - a dismantling carriage (5) suitable for being set down on the withdrawal platform (4) in place of the lower cartridge (1') and capable of being moved by sliding on the same level on the first (41) and then the second (41') aligned guideway, so as to engage on the beam (32) inside the frame (3), said carriage (5) taking up the upper cartridge (1) following opening of the detachable means (2) for fixing the latter on the pressure frame (34),
    - means (6', 7) for locking the coupling ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') at a first level (H1) of dismantling of the lower cartridge (1'),
    - means (7, 6) for locking the coupling ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36) at a second level (H2) of dismantling of the upper cartridge (1) resting on the dismantling carriage (5) .
  7. Dismantling device according to claim 6, characterised in that the means for locking the coupling ends of the lower and upper extension bars comprise two plates, a lower (6') and an upper (6) respectively, extending transversely to the axes of the rolls (11, 11') below and above the feed plane (P) of the product (M) respectively and mounted so as to slide vertically on the driving side of the support frame (3), and an intermediate plate (7) placed roughly at the level of the feed plane (P) of the product and capable of being moved between a locking position at which said intermediate plate (7) extends transversely to the axes of the rolls and a position separated laterally, means (62, 62') for vertical movement of the lower plate (6') and the intermediate plate (7) for taking up and clamping the coupling ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') between said lower plate (6') and the intermediate plate (7), and means (82) for vertical movement of the upper plate (6) for taking up and clamping the coupling ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36) between said upper plate (6) and the intermediate plate (7).
  8. Dismantling device according to claim 7, characterised in that the means for vertical movement of the lower plate (6') are jacks (62) resting on the beam (32).
  9. Dismantling device according to claim 8, characterised in that the jacks (62) for vertical movement of the lower plate (6') are mechanical jacks.
  10. Dismantling device according to one of claims 7, 8 or 9, characterised in that the intermediate plate (7) comprises two parts (7a, 7b) mounted so as to pivot, respectively, on two support elements (81) placed on each side of the feed axis (0) of the product (M) and each having means (85) for controlling the pivoting of the two parts (7a, 7b) respectively between a separated position and a locking position at which the two parts (7a, 7b) of the intermediate plate (7) are aligned transversely to the axes of the rolls and rest one on top of the other so as to form a single plate (7).
  11. Dismantling device according to one of claims 7 to 10, characterised in that the means for vertical movement of the upper plate (6) and the intermediate plate (7) comprise two pairs of hydraulic jacks (82, 82') placed respectively on each side of the feed axis (0) of the product (M) and each comprising two jacks extending in opposite directions, being respectively a lower jack (82'), with a body fixed on a support element (81) of the intermediate plate (7) and a spindle resting on one end of the lower plate (6'), and an upper jack (82), with a body fixed on the support element (81) of the intermediate plate (7) and a spindle resting on one end of the upper plate (6), the lower jacks (82') being used to clamp the ends (14') of the lower extension bars (36') between the intermediate plate (7) and the lower plate (6') and the upper jacks (82) being used to clamp the upper plate (6) onto the ends (14) of the upper extension bars (36) while resting on the intermediate plate (7) and the lower plate (6').
  12. Device according to claim 11, characterised in that the upper plate (6) is mounted so as to slide vertically on two slideways (83a, 83b) embodied respectively on the driving side of the frame (3) on each side of the feed axis (0).
  13. Device according to claim 11, characterised in that the two support elements (81) of the intermediate plate (7) are mounted so as to slide on two slideways (84) embodied respectively on the driving side of the frame (3) on each side of the feed axis (0).
  14. Dismantling device according to one of claims 6 to 13, characterised in that it comprises a single means (16) of movement transverse to the feed axis capable of being fixed so as to be detachable, either on the lower cartridge (1') or on the dismantling carriage (5).
  15. Dismantling device according to one of claims 6 to 14, characterised in that the means (2) for detachable fixing of the chassis of the upper assembly (1) on the pressure frame (34) comprise at least two hooks (21) mounted so as to rotate on the pressure frame (34), each about a horizontal axis of pivoting (211), between a separated position for positioning the upper assembly (1) below the pressure frame (34) and a hooking position at which each hook (21) is placed below a hooking block (10) of the chassis (10) of the upper assembly (1) and means (22) for controlling the pivoting of the hooks (21) from the separated position to the hooking position, said pivoting means (22) bringing about, at the end of the pivoting process, a slight raising of the horizontal axis of pivoting (211) and of the end (210) of the hook (21) for the purpose of clamping the chassis (10) against the lower face of the pressure frame (34).
  16. Dismantling device according to claim 15, characterised in that each hook (21) pivots about an upper axis (211) mounted so as to slide vertically on the pressure frame (34) and that the means (22) for controlling the pivoting of each hook (21) comprise a jack (23) with a first element resting on the pressure frame (34) and a second element resting on an end of an angled lever (223) mounted so as to rotate, at its other end, about a fixed lower axis (224) on the pressure frame (34) and articulated about a central axis (213) on the hook (21) so as to bring about, by rotation of the angled lever (223), the pivoting of the hook (21) together with raising of the upper axis of pivoting (211) up to a hooking position at which the upper axis (211), the central axis (213), and the lower axis (224) are roughly aligned with a buttressing effect following a line passing via the hooking block (101) after passing, below the latter, the end (210) of the hook (21).
  17. Dismantling device according to one of claims 15 and 16, characterised in that the end (210) of the hook (21) forms an elastic contact mechanism comprising a support element (214) mounted so as to slide following an axis directed toward the upper axis (211) of articulation of the hook (21) and a compression spring (215) inserted between the end (210) of the hook (21) and an enlarged head of the support element (214).
