Das Filterelement der Dunstabzugsvorrichtung kann in oder hinter der Absaugƶffnung vorgesehen sein. Das Filterelement kann beispielsweise eine Filterkassette aus Streckgitter beziehungsweise Streckmetall sein. Als Ansaugbereich wird der Teil der FlƤche der Absaugƶffnung bezeichnet, der der Projektion des Wrasenleitblechs, das sich in einer Betriebsstellung befindet, auf diese FlƤche entspricht. Ein Absaugbereich wird im Sinne der Erfindung einem Wrasenleitblech als zugeordnet angesehen, wenn dieses den Absaugbereich in der Ruheposition verschlieĆt. Unter VerschlieĆen wird im Sinne der Erfindung ein Abdecken des jeweiligen Bereiches der Absaugƶffnung verstanden, durch das ein Eintreten von DĆ¼nsten und Wrasen in die Dunstabzugsvorrichtung verhindert wird. ZusƤtzlich wird durch das VerschlieĆen ein Austreten von GerĆ¼chen und Luft aus der Dunstabzugsvorrichtung verhindert. Letzteres ist insbesondere bei so genannten Ablufthauben von Bedeutung, da bei diesen Dunstabzugsvorrichtungen das Innere der Dunstabzugsvorrichtung mit der Umgebung verbunden ist und somit Luft von auĆen in den Raum eintreten kann, in dem die Dunstabzugsvorrichtung betrieben wird.
