  • the sleeve has on its inside a groove groove for receiving a sealing against the ball surface O-ring, and in the Near their end facing the end of a grooved groove for receiving a snap ring. At the other end a sliding ring is pressed into the bush.
  • the inner diameter of the untensioned snap ring is slightly smaller than the ball diameter, which is why the snap ring remains when pressing the ball socket on the ball with the latter in a constant adhesion, which eventually leads to an axial distortion of the seal ring with the ball.
  • the inventive solution to this problem is in the ball joint of the type mentioned in particular that the sleeve interior of the support member is designed as a non-circular in the cross-section tool engagement surface.
  • the ball joint according to the invention has two hingedly connected joint parts, of which a first joint part is pivotally held with its spherically configured Stirnend Scheme between a form-fitting socket on the second joint part on the one hand and a joint head on a provided in the inner cavity of the first joint part holding member. Since the first hinge part is thus held securely and firmly between the second hinge part and the holding element and since the first hinge part is not merely secured with a sealing ring, the ball joint according to the invention has a comparatively high functionality, as the holding and sealing functions are separate from each other and can be optimized individually.
