- Safety device against incorrect operation for an espagnolette fitting of a casement, pivotable against a frame, of a window, a French window or the like, comprising a locking member which is to be fastened on a drive rod of the espagnolette fitting and comprising a catch which is to be mounted so as to be pivotable adjacent to the drive rod and can be displaced relative to the frame depending on the position of the casement, the catch producing a positive fit with the locking member in a first position and releasing the movement of the locking member in a second position, characterised in that a bearing block (14), for mounting the catch (15), and the locking member (19) are connected via a mounting support (21) before being mounted on the window, and in that the mounting support (21) comprises a target point of break (32, 33) which can be destroyed by the exertion of a small force.
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to claim 1, characterised in that the locking member (19) comprises a foot (24), and in that the foot (24) comprises an interference fit or catch fit with a recess (25) in the drive rod (6).
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the mounting support (21) comprises at least one pin (30, 31), in that the target point of break (32, 33) is arranged in the centre of the pin (30, 31), and in that one end of each pin (30, 31) is pressed into the bearing block (14) and the locking member (19).
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to either claim 2 or claim 3, characterised in that the locking member (19) comprises a base body (22) having a contact surface (23) provided for positioning on the drive rod (6), in that the foot (24) projects beyond the contact surface (23) to penetrate into the recess (25) in the drive rod (6), and in that at least one recess (27) for receiving a hook (26), which can be pivoted in, of the catch (15) is arranged on the side of the base body (22) remote from the foot (24).
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the bearing block (14) overlaps the drive rod (6) in the manner of a bridge, and fastening members (17), for fastening the bearing block (14) in components of the window which are adjacent to the drive rod (6), are in each case arranged in a corner region.
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to either claim 4 or claim 5, characterised in that the end of the catch (15) remote from the hook (26) has a sensing means (16) which projects beyond the bearing block (14) and which can be displaced against the frame (1) when the casement (2) moves.
- Safety device against incorrect operation according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the catch (15) is configured in an angular shape and has the sensing means (16) on one leg (28) and the hook (26) on the other leg (29), and in that a bearing axis (18) intersects the catch (15) in the region where the legs (28, 29) meet.
