Abstract

Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Induktionskochfeld mit wenigstens einem Induktionsheizelement (10) und wenigstens einem Temperatursensor (12) zum Bestimmen einer Sensortemperatur (14), sowie mit einer Steuereinheit (16) zum Identifizieren eines Kochgeschirrelements (18) mittels wenigstens einer elektrischen Kenngröße (R, L, RF) des Kochgeschirrelements (18), wobei die Steuereinheit (16) zum Bestimmen einer Kochgeschirrtemperatur (20) des Kochgeschirrelements (18) eine Funktion (26) nutzt, die wenigstens von der Sensortemperatur (14) und von wenigstens einem für das Kochgeschirrelement (18) spezifischen thermischen Parameter (Tpot, TGlass) abhängt.
Um eine sichere Bestimmung der Kochgeschirrtemperatur (20) auch für Kochgeschirrelemente (18) mit unbekannten thermischen Eigenschaften ohne aufwändige Sensorik zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Steuereinheit (16) zum Ausführen eines zumindest teilautomatisierten Kalibrierungsprogramms (22) zum Bestimmen des thermischen Parameters (Tpot, TGlass) und zum Zuordnen des thermischen Parameters (Tpot, TGlass) zu der elektrischen Kenngröße (R, L, RF) ausgelegt ist.
