Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain pan for installation in a building floor, with an at least partially circumferential collar and a collar disposed on this side flange, which can be applied to a building wall and with this tightly connected.
- Drainage tubs of this type have long been known. They are embedded in a floor, for example, a finished floor and can be flush, for example, bordered with tiles.
- the collar is on the upper side substantially flush with the top of the floor and has a drain grate for introducing the water to be discharged.
- a drain pan has become known in which a waterproof membrane is arranged on the inside of the lateral flange, which is pulled up during assembly along the building wall and finally covered with tiles.
- the invention has for its object to provide a drain pan of the type mentioned, which can be sealed even easier and more effective against structure-borne sound transmission can be insulated.
- the lateral flange extends from an upper side of the drain pan down.
- the contact area between the drain pan and the building wall is much smaller than in an upwardly extending flange.
- this flange does not extend beyond the tiles, which simplifies the installation of tiles.
- a significant advantage of the drainage trough according to the invention is also seen in the fact that it can also be mounted free-standing, thus does not necessarily have to be applied to a building wall.
- the side flange extends down into the building floor and is therefore not visible.
- the downwardly extending flange allows for easier insulation against structure-borne sound transmission. Sufficient is here, for example, a strip-shaped Randdämmelement which is disposed between the building wall and the side flange and which extends up to the collar.
- a sealing film is provided, which is attached to the outside of the lateral flange or can be connected to the flange.
- This sealing film extends upward beyond the top of the collar along the building wall.
- This sealing film is glued to the building wall, for example, and then covered with tiles. Since, as mentioned, the lateral flange does not extend beyond the tiles, structure-borne sound transmission is not to be expected in the area of the tiles.
- the drain pan can thus be isolated or sealed with relatively little effort against the building wall against sound transmission and against ingress of water.
- a Randdämmelement is provided, which is substantially equal to or longer than the lateral flange and which is mountable for sound insulation between the side flange and the building wall.
- the drain pan has leveling elements with which it can be lowered and leveled onto a rough floor. This allows an exact leveling of the drain pan, which is also essential with regard to the exact position with respect to the building wall.
- the invention also relates to a method for mounting such a drain pan. It is provided that the drain pan is placed on a bare floor, wherein the side flange is disposed along the building wall and connected to the side flange sealing foil is applied up to the building wall.
- the sealing foil can be preassembled on the lateral flange.
- the sealing film can, however, in principle also be fastened to the lateral flange during assembly, for example adhered thereto.
- Essential is a full-surface tight connection of the sealing film with the side flange.
- the sealing film is glued flat with its back on the building wall. The projecting over the top of the drain pan area of the sealing film is covered, for example, with tiles or other trim parts.
- the lateral flange is created with the interposition of a Randdämmijnisses to the building wall.
- the sealing film preferably extends below the upper side of the collar between the lateral flange and the outer side of the edge insulation element. Above the edge insulation element, the sealing film is bent outwards and applied to the building wall.
- the tiles or other trim parts preferably have approximately the same thickness as the edge insulation element and at the top form a continuation of this edge insulation element.
- the inventive drain pan thus also allows a simpler and precise tiling.
- the drain pan 1 has a circumferential collar 15 and within this a recess 3, in which openings 4 are arranged, through which water in drain pots 5 and finally in a drain line 6 can be derived.
- the collar 15, which may also be only partially circumferential, has an upper side 7, which in the assembled state according to FIG. 3 for example, covered by tiles 35. Starting from this top 7 extends on the collar 15, a side flange 28 downwardly extending over the entire length of the collar 15. This flange 28 is a turn of the collar 15 by 90 °. In the assembled state, this flange 28 thus extends vertically downwards and horizontally.
- the flange 28 has according to FIG. 3 a flat outer side 36 to which a film 29 is attached, which forms a flexible sealing film. This is in particular waterproof on the outside 36 connected to the flange 28, for example, glued. But here is another solid and tight connection possible.
- the film 29 has according to FIG. 2 a lower portion 29 a, in which the film 29 is connected to the flange 28 and a projecting over the top 7 portion 29 b, in the assembled state according to FIG. 3 with a back 33 is applied to a building wall 37.
- the film is glued to the back of the building wall 37, for example.
- This area 29 c is thus in the assembled state between an upper edge 34 a of Randdämmimplantations 34 and a lower edge 14a of the tiles 14.
- the space between the Randdämmelement 34 and the tiles 14 may be filled for example with a silicone adhesive.
- the edge insulating element 34 isolates the collar 15 with respect to the building wall 37 in terms of a structure-borne sound transmission and in particular impact sound transmission.
- the film 29 ensures a watertight connection of the collar 15 with the building wall 37.
- leveling elements 8 are provided, which are each arranged on the underside of the collar 15. These leveling elements 8 each have a foot 17 which can be fastened with a fastening screw 16 on the blank bottom 9 and a sleeve 26 which is inserted into a bore 19 of an insulating body 18. At the sleeves 26 each have a nut 27 is disposed with an internal thread 30 at an upper end. For leveling screws are provided 22 which have a thread 23 and which are respectively screwed from above into a nut 27 and which have at a lower end a groove 25 which are latched to locking tongues 20.
- the drain pan 1 can be leveled and thus the top 7 are aligned.
- the top 7 can be aligned horizontally or, if desired, also inclined.
- the edge insulation element 34 is attached to the building wall 37, for example, glued with a suitable adhesive.
- the edge insulation element 34 extends from the upper side 10 of the green floor 9 to the upper side of a provided underlay floor 13.
- the drain pan 1 is now placed on the green floor 9, with the flange 28 being applied to the edge insulation element 34.
- the film 29 is pre-assembled in this case.
- the drain pan 1 is now aligned with the leveling elements 8 as explained above. Now, insulation is applied to the green floor 9 with insulating layers 11 and 12. This isolation is in particular a sound insulation. But this can also be a thermal insulation. Now it will the underlay 13 applied.
- an adhesive (not shown here) is applied over the edge insulation element 34 for fastening the film 29.
- the film 29 is now attached to the building wall 37 in the region 29b.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a drain pan for installation in a building floor, with an at least partially circumferential collar and a collar disposed on this side flange, which can be applied to a building wall and with this tightly connected.
Drainage tubs of this type have long been known. They are embedded in a floor, for example, a finished floor and can be flush, for example, bordered with tiles. The collar is on the upper side substantially flush with the top of the floor and has a drain grate for introducing the water to be discharged.
Essential aspects of such a drain pan is the seal against the building floor and the building wall and the reduction of a structure-borne sound transmission from the drain pan to the building. Nevertheless, the installation should be simple and safe.
The invention has for its object to provide a drain pan of the type mentioned, which can be sealed even easier and more effective against structure-borne sound transmission can be insulated.
The object is achieved in a generic drain pan in that the lateral flange extends from an upper side of the drain pan down. In the inventive drain pan, the contact area between the drain pan and the building wall is much smaller than in an upwardly extending flange. In addition, this flange does not extend beyond the tiles, which simplifies the installation of tiles. A significant advantage of the drainage trough according to the invention is also seen in the fact that it can also be mounted free-standing, thus does not necessarily have to be applied to a building wall. In a freestanding version, the side flange extends down into the building floor and is therefore not visible. The downwardly extending flange allows for easier insulation against structure-borne sound transmission. Sufficient is here, for example, a strip-shaped Randdämmelement which is disposed between the building wall and the side flange and which extends up to the collar.
According to a development of the invention, it is provided that a sealing film is provided, which is attached to the outside of the lateral flange or can be connected to the flange. This sealing film extends upward beyond the top of the collar along the building wall. This sealing film is glued to the building wall, for example, and then covered with tiles. Since, as mentioned, the lateral flange does not extend beyond the tiles, structure-borne sound transmission is not to be expected in the area of the tiles. The drain pan can thus be isolated or sealed with relatively little effort against the building wall against sound transmission and against ingress of water.
According to a development of the invention it is provided that a Randdämmelement is provided, which is substantially equal to or longer than the lateral flange and which is mountable for sound insulation between the side flange and the building wall.
According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the drain pan has leveling elements with which it can be lowered and leveled onto a rough floor. This allows an exact leveling of the drain pan, which is also essential with regard to the exact position with respect to the building wall.
The invention also relates to a method for mounting such a drain pan. It is provided that the drain pan is placed on a bare floor, wherein the side flange is disposed along the building wall and connected to the side flange sealing foil is applied up to the building wall. The sealing foil can be preassembled on the lateral flange. The sealing film can, however, in principle also be fastened to the lateral flange during assembly, for example adhered thereto. Essential is a full-surface tight connection of the sealing film with the side flange. The sealing film is glued flat with its back on the building wall. The projecting over the top of the drain pan area of the sealing film is covered, for example, with tiles or other trim parts.
According to a development of the invention, the lateral flange is created with the interposition of a Randdämmelementes to the building wall. In this case, the sealing film preferably extends below the upper side of the collar between the lateral flange and the outer side of the edge insulation element. Above the edge insulation element, the sealing film is bent outwards and applied to the building wall. The tiles or other trim parts preferably have approximately the same thickness as the edge insulation element and at the top form a continuation of this edge insulation element. The inventive drain pan thus also allows a simpler and precise tiling.

The assembly of the inventive drain pan 1 will be explained in more detail.
In a first step, the
