Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a container from a plurality of individual packages, which contain a mineral wool product, in particular in the form of a plate stack or a roll and are provided with a sheath, comprising the steps of: providing the plurality of individual packages, counting a predetermined number of individual packages Collecting the same by means of a collecting device, introducing the counted individual packets into a compression device by means of a gravitational force, compressing the individual packets in the compression device and wrapping them to produce the container. The invention further relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 3.

It is known that insulating materials in the form of mineral wool products occupy a very large volume with limited mass. Therefore, the logistical effort for their storage and transport is large, so that this is particularly in comparison to the actual value of such mineral wool products a high cost to be borne.

In practice, therefore, one has begun to package mineral wool products in such a way that they are present in a compressed state within a sheath. As wrapping serves here mostly a plastic film, but also paper or the like can be used. Such a sheath will in practice reliably ensure that the mineral wool product will maintain its compressed state until it is unpacked at the site of use.

However, there are limits to the degree of compression of mineral wool products. It should be noted in particular that can break through the deformations occurring during the compression of fibers or joints between fibers, which adversely affects the performance of the product. The compression should therefore be controlled in such a way that after unpacking the product can essentially return to its original volume.

In order to take these problems into account, compression is often performed in several stages, as for example from the EP 0 220 980 A1 is known. According to this document, a present in roll form or as a stack of plates mineral wool product is compressed and provided with a sheath. A plurality of individual packages formed in this way are then moved to a stacking device, wherein each individual package is held by pivotable arms, which pivot apart above the stacking device and allow the individual package to be introduced under the action of gravity on the bottom of the stacking device or on a single package already present therein. The stacking device is designed here as a vertically aligned shaft and in this way receives a predetermined number of individual packages. In this case, a counter is also provided, which determines whether the desired number of individual packages is present in the stacking device.

When this condition is met, lower support arms of the stacker pivot away to the side and all of the individual packages contained in the stacker fall together in unison due to the action of gravity on a wrapping film stretched under the stacker. Due to the weight of the collected individual packages, the wrapping film is removed from both sides arranged supply roles and the lot of individual packages slides together with the envelope in a arranged underneath, vertically aligned compression device.

As soon as the stack of parcels rests on the bottom of the compression device, upper stops close and a bottom part of the compression device moves upward to compact the mineral wool material. The released lots in the wrapping film are automatically pulled back onto the supply rolls. Subsequently, the envelope at the upper end is closed by laterally arranged welding rods are moved toward each other, perform a welding of the two film parts at the upper end of the container and a separating cut is carried out in the weld area. The individual packages are thus in compressed state within the envelope and thus form the container. The withdrawn from the supply rolls film parts are at the same time welded again at their free ends, so that they are suitable for receiving the next stack of packages from the stacking device. The thus formed container is then transported further and can also be stacked and connected with other containers to larger transport units in order to facilitate further transport.

The EP 0 220 980 A1 also addresses a modified embodiment, according to which the stacking device can not be arranged vertically, in which case conventional feeding means such as pistons driven by cylinders can be provided. However, the operation of the arrangement should be substantially the same as the previously explained.

This procedure for the production of a container as well as the corresponding device have been in practical use for many years and have proven to be quite useful. However, the corresponding system requires a relatively large installation space in a production hall and can be used in particular only in very high halls, since the positioning of the upright stacking device on the also upright compression device requires a considerable height. Such a system can therefore not be realized at any location.

Another disadvantage of the known system is that due to the already achieved large height of the system only a limited number of individual packages stacked and can be connected to a container. If one wanted to increase the container height, for example, by one meter, then in the conventional device, both the compression device and the stacking device would have to be increased by this meter, which is in existing factories in usually not possible. On the other hand, such enlargement of packages is often desired to facilitate subsequent transport.

Furthermore, it is increasingly being used to densify mineral wool products to a greater extent, so that even without dimensional change of the finished container, a larger number of individual packages could in principle be interconnected. However, the existing stacking and compression devices are limited in their receiving height and thus not designed for this purpose. Furthermore, they are not suitable for the reasons mentioned expandable.

Another disadvantage of the previous system is its susceptibility to interference. As considerations have emerged in the course of the present invention, this is due in particular to the fact that the entire stack of individual packages falls in one go onto the compression device, first encounters the wrapping film and then enters the compression device in the decelerated state. Due to the elastic properties of compressed mineral wool products, unpredictable effects have occasionally resulted here, which have led to singling and, in particular for products with plate stacks, to tilting of individual packages in the compression device. Then a manual intervention in the system might be necessary.

The invention is therefore based on the object, a method and apparatus for producing a container from a plurality of individual packages in such a way that the process with greater process reliability can be performed as in the prior art and also in existing manufacturing facilities, a larger number of individual packages can be bound as conventional to a container.

This object is procedurally achieved by the features of claim 1.

The invention thus takes a departure from the conventional vertical collection of the individual packages in a stacking device and now makes them available side by side on a collecting conveyor belt. Thus, the overall height of the arrangement can be significantly reduced over the prior art, so that the compression device for receiving a larger number of individual packages than in conventional systems can be made higher in existing production halls. In addition, this also reduces the complexity of the system, which has an advantageous effect on the provisioning, production and maintenance costs.

Another advantage in this case is that the counted individual packages of a lot are not introduced according to the invention in one go as a unit in the compression device, but individually fed one after the other in this. Thus, the individual packages can fall undisturbed into each other in the compression device, so that a mutual influence of individual packages and thus uncontrollable behaviors can be much better avoided. In particular, the Einbringvorgang each individual package can be controlled much more precisely than in the prior art, so that here a drastic increase in process reliability can be achieved by the invention.

The inventive method is thus significantly less susceptible to interference, requires a lower overall height than the prior art and can also be realized with very little procedural and design effort. Furthermore, this can be achieved with a greater performance of the system.

Furthermore, it is provided that the individual packages introduced into the compression device are lowered stepwise in accordance with the supply cycle of further individual packages. Thus, the fall distance of each individual package is generally limited and also designed so that it is the same size for each package. This in turn has an advantageous effect on the process reliability. In particular, the risk of tilting mineral wool products in the form of a plate stack is substantially reduced.

Furthermore, it has proven to be advantageous that the individual packages are introduced into a funnel on the compression device. Such a funnel supports the targeted introduction of a single package in the compression device and exercises for this purpose a steering action. Thus, the process reliability can be further increased. At the same time, this improvement is achieved with surprisingly little design effort.

Eine vorteilhafte Weiterbildung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist Gegenstand des abhängigen Anspruchs 2.In the individual packages with mineral wool products in the form of a stack of plates, it has proven to be advantageous that the individual packages are collected in an upright manner, ie resting with a narrow side surface, on the collecting conveyor. In this way, in particular the introduction process of the individual packages in the compression device can be controlled particularly well, especially if this introduction process is associated with a Abkippbewegung by about 90 °, at which the individual packages then come to rest on a large area. Several such stacked with their large surfaces individual packages form the desired stack for the production of the container. The method can thus be designed by such a measure particularly reliable and with little effort. An advantageous development of the method according to the invention is the subject of the dependent claim 2.

It is advantageous if the counting of a predetermined number of individual packages is carried out by means of a turnstile. Such a turnstile provides a reliable means of arranging the individual packages in a suitable manner on the collecting conveyor belt, while at the same time allowing a reliable determination of the number of individual packages deposited on the collecting conveyor belt. Thus, the method according to the invention can be controlled particularly well.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a device having the features of claim 3.

With this device, the advantages explained above with reference to the method are achieved analogously. In addition, can be realized by the dependent claims 4 or 5, the corresponding developments, which are also associated with the stated advantages.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 a device 1 on a turnstile 11, by means of which individual packages 2 are applied to a collecting conveyor belt 12. The turnstile 11 is in this case designed so that it is the incoming from the side of individual packages 2 (see Fig. 4 ) picks up and on the collecting conveyor 12 tilts. The number of moving individual packages 2 at the turnstile 11 is numerically detected. The individual packages 2 have in the present embodiment, a stack of mineral wool plates, which is enclosed by a wrapping film.

The collecting conveyor 12 is formed in two parts in the present embodiment, each sub-band 12 a and 12 b in the Fig. 4 apparent manner consists of a plurality of mutually parallel conveyor belts, which move in the same direction. Laterally thereof, an aligner 12c is also provided, which allows a sufficient axial positioning of the individual packages 2 on the collecting conveyor belt 12.

In the region of the collecting conveyor belt 12 also front baffle elements 13 and rear baffle elements 14 are arranged, which are formed like a pin and the Subdivision of arranged on the collecting conveyor belt 12 individual packages 2 serve in packaging lots, and avoid unwanted premature tilting of the individual packages 2 in a hopper 15 to a compression device 16. The front baffle elements 13 serve to control the individual packages 2 directly at the funnel 15, while the rear baffle elements 14, if necessary, avoid the subsequent movement of the individual packages 2 to the counted parcel lot.

In the region of the upper end of the compression device 16 and below the hopper 15, the supply of a sheath 3, which is withdrawn in a known manner from two lateral, not shown supply roles. The lower end of these two film parts is welded together, so that the introduced into the compression device 16 individual packages 2 are encompassed by the enclosure 3 during the feeding of further individual packages 2 from three sides.

Fig. 1 shows a first process stage, in which eight individual packages are enumerated on the collecting conveyor belt 12. In the hopper 15 is further indicated by dashed lines, as a single package 2 tilts in this course of the process on the front end of the collection conveyor belt 12 into the hopper 15, thereby turns around by about 90 degrees and strikes the underneath wrapped enclosure 3.

In Fig. 2 the state is shown in which eight individual packages 2 have already been introduced into the compression device 16, while a further eight individual packages 2 are still present on the collecting conveyor belt 12.

Like from the Fig. 2 and 3 can also be seen, a counter-holder 17 is arranged at the upper end of the compression device 16, which serves as a counter-stop for a height-adjustable compression table 18 at the lower end of the compression device 16. How out Fig. 3 can be seen, this Kompressiönstisch 18 is moved to compress the individual packages 2 upwards, as soon as the predetermined number of individual packages 2 is present in the compression device 16. Free Future wrapping film is withdrawn upwardly in a conventional manner to the supply rolls.

Subsequently, the open ends of the envelope 3 are combined in a conventional manner by a welding device 19 and welded together. The two welding rods 19a and 19b of the welding device 19 are in the Fig. 1 to 3 shown. After welding the envelope, a separating cut is further carried out in the region of the welding point with a cutting device (not shown here) integrated in the welding device 19, so that a bundle 4 independent of the film feed results, as is shown in FIG Fig. 5 is shown. The free ends of the two film parts are then also welded together and are above the compression device 16 ready for receiving further individual packages 2. The container 4 is then discharged by lowering the compression table 18 to the subsequent band and possibly fed to a palletizing.

The device 1 is designed such that the enclosure 3 is tracked only as far as it is required by the height of a single package 2. Each tipped from the collecting conveyor belt 12 single packet 2 thus falls by the same fall distance through the hopper 15 in the compression device 16 and comes either directly to the enclosure 3, if it is the first single package 2, or to lie on a previous single package 2. Due to the dead weight of each individual package 2 while another piece of the envelope 3 is deducted from the supply roles, so that the already brought into the compression device 16 individual packages 2 sag gradually downward in the direction of compression table 18.

In Fig. 5 By way of example, such a container 4 is shown, which can either be stored or delivered in the present form or can also be combined with other such containers 4 into even larger transport units in a manner known per se.

Die Erfindung läßt neben der aufgezeigten Ausführungsform weitere Gestaltungsansätze zu.In addition to the embodiment shown, the invention allows for further design approaches.

Thus, the device 1 can be used without structural change directly for roller-shaped mineral wool products.

In this respect, it is also not necessary that the introduction of the counted individual packages in the compression device 16 takes place by a Abkippbewegung. This method step may, for example, also be based on a rolling movement.

On the other hand, this process can also be initiated so that the counter-holder 17 initially supports the stretched casing and pivots out of the falling region only after the impact of the first individual packet 2, thus allowing the individual packet 2 to sink into the compression device 16.

Furthermore, it is also possible to determine the predetermined number of individual packets by other counting means than by the turnstile 11. For example. For this purpose, light barriers or the like can be used.

In the embodiment shown, eight individual packages 2 are further stacked on top of each other, which compared to conventional devices of this type an extension of the stack volume by two packets, ie 25 percent results. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the number of combined with the device according to the invention into a package 4 individual packages 2 may vary depending on the type of mineral wool product and its dimensions. Thus, significantly less or even more all eight individual packages 2 are summarized into a container.
