Claims (22)

  1. Pressure roll (12) for forming a winding nip (16) with a spool (14) in a winding machine (10) for winding up a material web (17), in particular a paper or board web,
    characterized in that
    the roll or belt surface (20) adjoining the winding nip (16) has at least single-start grooves (18) running spirally, which each have a depth (t) in the range from about 0.4 mm to about 1.5 mm and each have a width (b), preferably a maximum width (b), in the range from about 35 to about 60 mm, and
    in that the number of turns is coordinated with the pitch in such a way that a land (22) in the range between about 100 mm and about 400 mm and preferably in the region of 200 mm remains.
  2. Pressure roll according to Claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the grooves (18) each have a depth (t) in the region of 0.8 mm.
  3. Pressure roll according to Claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    the grooves (18) each have a width (b), preferably a maximum width (b), in the region of 40 mm.
  4. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the spiral grooves (18), as viewed in the direction of the roll axis or transversely with respect to the belt running direction, run outwards, starting from a central roll or belt region.
  5. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the grooving is at least partly implemented with a single start.
  6. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the grooving is at least partly implemented with multiple starts.

    the grooves (18) at least partly have a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape.
  16. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,

    the groove pitch (rs) lies at least partly in the range from about 300 mm to about 1500 mm and preferably in the range of 600 mm.
  17. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    in the region of the centre of the roll, a land (22) in the range from 0 mm to about 200 mm remains.
  18. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that the pressure roll (12) has a diameter > 700 mm and preferably > 1000 mm.
  19. Pressure roll according to one of the preceding claims,
