Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical switch according to the preamble of claim 1.
- buttons in the form of buttons, as used for example in input systems in the so-called film technology in membrane keypads, serve to trigger electrical switching pulses.
- a printed circuit board is provided as the base element, on which a switching film is located at a parallel distance.
- This switching foil consists of a flexibly compressible plastic material.
- On the facing surfaces are located both on the circuit board as well as on the switching film areally arranged, electrically conductive coatings. Upon actuation of the switching film, this bulges downward, so that the mutually corresponding electrically conductive coatings reach each other in electrical contact.
- the US 5,847,639 A shows a so-called touch screen of the type specified above, by means of which the position of the pressure point can be determined.
- two mutually opposite, electrically conductive layers are each arranged on a carrier. So that these electrically conductive layers do not come into electrical contact with each other in the non-actuated initial state, hump-like spacers are provided therebetween.
- the WO 99/27550 A1 shows in the embodiment according to Fig. 2 a similar principle as in the aforementioned document. On two substrates electrically conductive coatings are applied. In between are flexible hump-like spacers.
- the GB 2 107 933 A shows in the embodiments of FIGS. 1b and 3, a button in which there are hump-like spacers between a circuit board and a cover.
- the invention has for its object to provide a keyboard consisting of several electrical buttons, in which on the one hand, the switching pulses of the electrical switch can be triggered with a low triggering force and which, on the other hand, the risk of false triggering in adjacent buttons is not given.
- an electrical membrane key is created in which the risk of electrical false triggering is not present and in which the switching pulse can be triggered with a low triggering force.
- additional insulation points in the form of spacers are provided between the circuit board and the switching foil. These are so dimensioned and arranged that the two mutually corresponding electrically conductive coatings do not come into electrical contact with each other in the resting state of the probe. Because these isolation points always ensure a small distance between the electrically conductive coatings. However, this also means that due to these isolation points, the distance between the circuit board and the switching foil can be made very small, so that the switching pulse can be triggered with a very small amount of force.
- a total of the electrically conductive coatings are separated from each other by a special arrangement of the spacers in the resting phase, so that a short circuit is excluded when not in operation. Furthermore, only small actuation forces are required in the data entry.
- buttons define a keyboard.
- This keyboard thus consists of a plurality of input points, according to the number and the arrangement of the electrical buttons. This is called a so-called membrane keyboard, where the switching foil covers the entire keyboard in a homogeneous surface.
- the requirement of equal operating forces of the individual buttons of the membrane keyboard is met. Between adjacent buttons of the keyboard, one or more spacers are arranged. These thus define the separation area between adjacent buttons.
- the spacers in the area of the electrically conductive coatings and in the area between adjacent keys of the keyboard define a matrix-like network.
- the mesh defining the matrix points may be rectangular, square, diamond-shaped or the like.
- the network can be regular or irregular.
- the basic idea here too is to coat the surface of the membrane keyboard with a relatively close-meshed, two-dimensional network of spacers. Since thus the spacers are closely meshed, the free distance between the circuit board and the switching foil can be made very small, without the switching foil can cause false triggering, for example by sagging or by light touch.
- the spacer is preferably rounded convex.
- These spacers may be ball sections.
- the development according to claim 3 proposes that the spacer is arranged on the circuit board and / or on the electrically conductive coating of the circuit board.
- the spacers together with the circuit board form a solid unit.
- the switching film is in the manner described above on the spacers as insulation points, without coming into this resting phase in electrically conductive contact with the coating of the circuit board.
- the switching foil is actuated, it bulges between the spacers in the direction of the printed circuit board and closes the electrical contact between the mutually corresponding electrically conductive coatings.
- the electrically conductive coatings are printed.
- the circuit board and the switching film made of polyester film with printed switching points in Silberleit and graphite technology.
- an intermediate distance is provided between the top of the spacer and the opposite electrically conductive coating. This means that at a slight actuation of the switching film, this initially rests on the spacers.
- the prerequisite is that the arrangement of the spacers in the resting phase ensures that the two films are absolutely safe separated from each other and no switching pulse is triggered by the electrically conductive coatings.
- it must be able to bend between the spacers in the direction of the printed circuit board in such a way that an electrical contacting takes place.
- the spacers are arranged according to the embodiment in claim 8 in a matrix form.
- the mesh defining the matrix points may be rectangular, square, diamond-shaped or the like.
- the network can be regular or irregular.
- the free distance between the circuit board and the switching foil can be made very small, without the switching foil can cause false triggering, for example by sagging or by light touch.
- the surface of the probe can be arbitrarily large.
- buttons of a total of a plurality of in particular arranged like a matrix in a field buttons
- these buttons consist of several layers. These are “zoomed” in the direction perpendicular to the keyboard plane for better illustration. In fact, if scaled up, the layers would be much thinner. They are in the illustrated embodiment in the order of magnitude of 0.1 mm per layer.
- the button consists of a printed circuit board 1.
- a printed circuit board 1 can be a polyester film.
- This printed circuit board 1 has electrically conductive coatings 2 in the form of printed switching points in silver-conducting and graphite technology.
- hump-shaped spacers 3 are printed on the surface of the circuit board 1 to create insulating dots by screen printing. These spacers 3 are arranged in the form of a two-dimensional matrix (relative to the keyboard).
- the printed circuit board 1 is provided with an adhesive film 4 for bonding the assembly on a support.
- a switching film 6 is arranged in the form of a polyester film parallel to the printed circuit board 1 by far.
- This switching film 6 has to create an electrically conductive coating 7 printed switching points in silver conductive and graphite technology.
- the topmost is a front sheet 8 with back-printed colors provided by screen printing.
- a double-sided adhesive front adhesive 9 is provided in the form of an adhesive film for bonding the front sheet 8 with the switching film 6.
- Fig. 1 shows the idle state of the button. Due to the spacers 3, the switching foil 6 maintains a well-defined distance from the printed circuit board 1 without the risk that the two electrically conductive coatings 2, 7 come into contact with one another and trigger a switching pulse. Thus, the switching film 6 is on the spacers 3, even if they should sag something.
- the switching film 6 After completion of the actuating force, the switching film 6 returns due to their elastic flexibility back to the starting position parallel to the printed circuit board 1, in which it is held by the spacers 3 again at a distance from the circuit board 1.
- spacers 3 are also provided between the individual buttons. These are sort of the separation between the two buttons. If a pressure is exerted exactly on this parting line between the two buttons, the switching foil 6 lies exactly on the spacer 3 and does not trigger a switching pulse. If, on the other hand, the pressure exerted with respect to this spacer 3 is displaced slightly to the left or to the right, then the corresponding button is actuated in the manner described above, while the adjacent button is not actuated.

Description
In diesen zeigt:
- Fig. 1
- einen Schnitt durch die Tastatur in der Ruhephase;
- Fig. 2
- eine Darstellung entsprechend der in
Fig. 1 , jedoch beim Betätigen der Schaltfolie.
-
Fig. 1 zeigt den Ruhezustand des Tasters.
