- A method for operating a sheet-fed printing press, namely for ejecting print sheets from the sheet-fed printing press following the occurrence of an emergency stop, wherein the sheet-fed printing press comprises multiple printing couples (10, 11, 12, 13), at least one main drive (19) and multiple additional drives (20) which can be synchronised with the or each main drive (19), wherein each printing couple (10, 11, 12, 13) comprises a forme cylinder (17), a transfer cylinder (15) rolling on the forme cylinder (17), an impression cylinder (18) rolling on the transfer cylinder (15), an inking couple (16) and preferentially a dampening unit, wherein for printing at least the impression cylinders (18) and the transfer cylinders (15) of the printing couples (10, 11, 12, 13) are driven by the or each main drive (19) and other cylinders or rollers of the printing couples (10, 11, 12, 13) by an additional drive (20) each assigned to the respective cylinder or the roller with its own motor, wherein the additional drive (20) can be decoupled from a connection to the main drive (19) by means of a clutch (21), wherein furthermore each inking couple (16) can be coupled to or decoupled from the main drive (19) by means of a further clutch (22), wherein following the occurrence of an emergency stop of the feeders decoupling is carried out,
