In order to better comply with this requirements, most of the information is moved outside the homes and as services within the associated company of the present system. Such a move provides other advantages, such as better security of data through regular backups, less dependency on the Internet operators, and possible disturbances in the Internet connections, centralised access and storage to data, etc.
  • the remote control and the home system implement one function at a time only. Switching from one function to the other will automatically interrupt the previous function.
  • Incoming calls from unknown remote users can either be completely ignored, or be answered via the remote control or the bracelet.
  • Incoming calls from pre-authorized senders may be initiated automatically without pressing a button. This is very useful when monitoring people.
  • the system settings are hosted within the centralised repository; they are automatically propagated (and copied) to all the devices composing the home system via the network (Internet). This means that authorized people can configure the home system without having to be physically present. Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système d'appel vidéo/audio destiné à permettre une communication entre un premier et un second utilisateur. La communication comprend : un flux de données comprenant des signaux de commande, ainsi que des données vidéo et audio. Le système se compose d'un premier et d'un second système de communication séparés géographiquement, dans lequel le premier utilisateur commande les deux systèmes de communication, et où chaque système de communication est doté d'une caméra vidéo, d'un micro et d'une connexion de réseau permettant de connecter le système de communication au réseau. La connexion de réseau est utilisée pour envoyer un flux de données initiant un appel à partir du premier système de communication vers le second système de communication, et pour transmettre le flux de données entre le premier et le second système de communication une fois que l'appel est initié.
