Description

The invention relates to a drain fitting for showers or bathtubs, with an odor trap forming or having drain body and a transition piece for connection to a sewer line, wherein at least one connecting piece for connecting a drain pipe is formed on the drain body and the transition piece.

By modern shower systems, for example in the form of so-called shower temple or rain showerheads, a shower bath or shower tray is sometimes fed more water than can be discharged today available conventional drain fittings. There is therefore a desire for Duschwannenabläufe with higher drainage performance.

Furthermore, bathtubs with doors are known as entry and exit aids, the opening of the bathtub door is only possible if the bath water is completely expired. Also in this respect, there is a desire for drain fittings with increased drainage performance, so that the user of such a bathtub can leave this much faster.

Especially in hospitals and nursing homes there is a desire for high-flow fittings Drainage performance to allow the fastest possible bathing of patients or caregivers.

The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a waste set with the highest possible drainage capacity for showers or baths, but without increasing the height and width of the drain set and without the height of the outlet nozzle on the drain body against the located under the shower or bath raw floor to reduce. The usual flow cross section of the bath or shower tray should not be increased, but rather minimized.

This object is achieved by a pop-up waste with the features of claim 1. Preferred and advantageous embodiments of the invention are set forth in the dependent claims.

Essentially, the drain assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the drain body is connected via a drain pipe or more drain pipes with the transition piece, wherein the free cross section of the single drain pipe or the free overall cross section of the drain pipes is greater than the free cross section of a conventional single drain pipe with a circular cross-section is.

The inventive solution a waste set with increased drainage capacity for showers and bathtubs is provided. The height and width of the drain set does not have to be increased compared to conventional drain fittings. The The inventive solution makes it possible in particular to arrange the outlet spigot on the drainage body relative to the underfloor or underfloor floor relatively high, so that there is a good gradient situation in the transition piece leading to the transition piece, which counteracts a deposition of dirt and / or hair in the drainage pipe.

An advantageous embodiment of the drain fitting according to the invention is that the drain body is connected via at least two drain pipes with the transition piece, wherein the drain body and the transition piece each have at least two connecting pieces for connecting the drain pipes. This configuration allows for a relatively compact size and at the same time high drainage performance, the realization of a pipe joint connection, which can facilitate the connection or the position adjustment of the drain set in relation to a sewer line (downpipe). The at least two drain pipes preferably have the same circular cross-section and are substantially parallel to each other.

Another advantageous embodiment of the drain fitting according to the invention is that the at least one drain pipe has a substantially oval or substantially rectangular cross-section with a substantially horizontally extending inner diameter major axis and a comparatively shorter, perpendicular to the inner diameter main axis extending inner diameter transverse axis.

This configuration allows for a given height of the outlet nozzle of the drain body relative to the unfinished floor and for a given width and height of the drain set the formation of a drain pipe between drain body and transition piece with the largest possible free cross-section. In other words, with this embodiment, a predetermined mounting space can be used optimally to maximize the drainage capacity without reducing the height of the outlet nozzle of the drain body relative to the unfinished floor and thus the incline of the drainage pipe.

The in the FIGS. 1 to 3 illustrated drain assembly comprises a drain body 1, which has a smell trap or forms such. The container-like drain body 1 has on its upper side an inlet opening 2, which is surrounded by a sealing ring 3, which rests sealingly on the underside in the region of the drain during assembly of the drain fitting to, for example, a shower tray 4. The bottom 5 of the drain body 1 forms a substantially planar running surface, with which the drain body 1 can be arranged on a raw floor 6.

On the drain body 1, two connecting pieces 7, 8 are formed for connecting two drain pipes 9, 10, via which the drain body 1 with a transition piece 11 is detachably connected, which is finally connected to a downpipe 12 or another sewer line. The free total cross section of the drain pipes 9, 10 is considerably larger than the free cross section of a conventional drain pipe with a circular cross section.

The connecting pieces 7, 8 are aligned with each other so that the drain pipes connected thereto 9, 10 are substantially parallel to each other. Furthermore, it can be seen that the connecting pieces 7, 8 each have a pipe joint 13, 14. The pipe joints 13, 14 are designed in the manner of a ball joint and arranged so that they pivot the connecting pieces 7, 8 and the attached drain pipes 9, 10 allow for a common pivot axis.

The drain pipes 9, 10 have a circular cross-section, wherein they have at their the connecting piece 7, 8 of the drain body 1 associated ends sleeve-like connecting portions 15, 16. Corresponding sleeve-like connecting portions 17, 18 are formed on connecting pieces 19, 20 of the transition piece 11.

Die Anschlussstutzen 19, 20 münden über bogenförmige Abschnitte 23, 24 in den zylindrischen Rohrabschnitt 21.The transition piece 11 has a substantially cylindrical pipe section 21 with a bell-shaped end 22, to which the connecting pieces 19, 20 are integrally formed. The connecting pieces 19, 20 open via arcuate portions 23, 24 in the cylindrical pipe section 21st

In Fig. 2 it can be seen that the through the connecting pieces 7, 8; 19, 20 and drain pipes 9, 10 defined width not greater than the width of the drain body 1 is. Furthermore, in Fig. 1 to recognize that the integrally formed on the drain body 1 connecting pieces 7, 8 are arranged so that the bottom 25 is at a higher level than the bottom 26 of the drain body 1. The vertical distance H between the bottom 25 of the connecting piece 7, 8 and the bottom 26 of the drain body 1 is at least 20 mm, preferably at least 30 mm.

In the FIGS. 4 to 6 is a further embodiment of the inventive waste set shown. The drain fitting again comprises a Odor trap having or forming drain body 1 and a transition piece 11 for connection to a sewer line 12. In contrast to the embodiment according to the FIGS. 1 to 3 Here is the drain body 1 via only a single drain pipe 27 connected to the transition piece 11. However, the drain pipe 27 has a substantially oval cross-section. The free cross section of the drain pipe 27 is thus considerably larger than the free cross section of a conventional drain pipe with a circular cross section.

The integrally formed on the drain body 1 and the transition piece 11 connecting piece 28, 29 are formed corresponding to the drain pipe 27 oval. The oval discharge pipe 27 has at its the connecting piece 28 of the drain body 1 associated end of a likewise oval running sleeve-like, connecting portion 30. A corresponding socket-like connecting portion 31 is formed on the connecting piece 29 of the transition piece 11.

The connecting pieces 28, 29 are aligned so that the inner diameter main axis 32 of the oval drainage pipe 27 extends substantially horizontally, while the shorter inner diameter transverse axis 33 is at right angles to the inner diameter major axis 32.

The integrally formed on the drain body 1 connecting piece 28 is arranged so that its underside 34 is at a higher level than the bottom 26 of the drain body 1. The vertical distance H between the bottom 34 of the connecting piece 28 and the bottom 26 of the Drain body 1 is also at least 20 mm, preferably at least 30 mm. Furthermore, it can be seen that the connecting piece 28 is slightly inclined on the drain body 1 with respect to the plane of the bottom 26 of the drain body 1, so that the substantially rectilinear drain pipe 27 extends with a slope in the direction of transition piece 11.

In Fig. 6 It can clearly be seen that the width defined by the oval connecting pieces 28, 29 and the oval discharge pipe 27 is not greater than the width of the drain body 1. Incidentally, the equivalent in the FIGS. 4 and 6 Shut-off body 1 shown the drain body 1 according to the FIGS. 1 to 3 ,

The execution of the drain assembly according to the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. Rather, a variety of variants are possible, which make use of the inventive concept given in the claims even with fundamentally different execution. For example, the drain body 1 of the drain fitting may also be connected to the transition piece 11 via more than two drain pipes.

The waste set according to the invention can be used not only in flat shower trays, shower trays and bathtubs. Their advantages can also be used in particular for floor drains, for example floor-level, tiled showers.
