Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the distance between one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the toggle articulation (53) of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46), and one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the articulated connection (56) between the first limb (54) of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) and the housing or some other stationary part of the production and/or packaging installation (10), is identical or virtually identical to the distance between this toggle-lever axis of rotation of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) and one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the articulated connection (57) between the second limb (55) of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) and the second toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (47).
  3. Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the distance between one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the toggle articulation (48) of the second toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (47), and one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the articulated connection (52) to the limb (50), assigned to the conveying part (28), of the second toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (47), is identical or virtually identical to the distance between one or the toggle-articulation axis of rotation of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) and one or the axis of rotation, which is defined by the articulated connection (57) between the second limb (55) of the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) and the second toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (47).
  4. Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the actuator (59) is a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder (60) having a piston (61) which is movable back and forth in the cylinder, wherein the piston (61) is connected to the first limb (54) of the first toggle lever (46) in order to move the latter in a controllable manner between the blocking position and the releasing position.
  5. Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gear-mechanism device (24), in particular the two toggle lever-like gear-mechanism parts (46, 47) and the individual articulated connections, is formed such that a pressure of an appropriate magnitude exerted on the conveying part (28) can cause at least the first toggle lever-like gear-mechanism part (46) to fold in about its toggle articulation (53), this folding-in being directly or indirectly detectable by a sensor (69), preferably by a sensor (69) which is assigned to the cylinder and by way of which a change in position and/or movement of the piston (61) within the cylinder (60), said change in position and/or movement being brought about by the folding-in, is detectable.
  6. Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the spatial position of the movable gear-mechanism member (54) is settable in the releasing position of the gear-mechanism device (24), preferably by adjustment of the basic position of the piston (61) retracted within the cylinder (60) from a first position to a second position, wherein different travels or lengths of travel of the conveying part (28), in particular of the lifting means (28), are settable by a change in the spatial position of the movable gear-mechanism member (54) in the releasing position.
  7. Apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gear-mechanism device (24) drives at least two conveying parts (28), wherein the gear-mechanism device (24) has at least two gear-mechanism members (54) which are movable back and forth in a controllable manner, independently of one another, in each case by a controllable actuator (59), assigned to the respective conveying part (28), between a first position, in which the gear-mechanism device (24) prevents the conveying movement of the respective conveying part (28) when the drive shaft (27) of the drive unit is rotating, in particular transmits no movement to the conveying part - blocking position - and a second position, in which the gear-mechanism device (24) allows the conveying movement of the respective conveying part (28) when the drive shaft is rotating, in particular transmits a movement to the conveying part - releasing position.
  8. Production and/or packaging installation for producing and/or packaging cigarettes or other smokable articles, having an apparatus (19) for conveying products, preferably cigarette packs (11), according to one or more of the preceding claims.
  9. Production and/or packaging installation according to Claim 8, characterized in that the cigarette packs (11) are conveyable cyclically to a lifting means (28) of the apparatus (19) along an in particular horizontal conveying path (16), wherein the cigarette packs (11) are feedable to in each case at least one pocket (20) of a transfer turret (19) by means of the lifting means (28).
