  1. Roller shutter for shutting off an opening (100), comprising:

    - a protective casing (2) which is able to contain the curtain (1) and comprises a longitudinal passage slot (3) configured to successively let through the said longitudinal slats (L) during the movement (D) of the curtain (1), the casing generally forming the upper edge of the opening (100),
    - a winding shaft (4) housed in the protective casing (2) and around which the curtain (1) can be wound,
    - driving means for rotationally driving the winding shaft (4) so as to manoeuvre the curtain (1) between a wound position in which it is wound around the winding shaft (4) and in which the end slat (L') of the curtain (1) is in the vicinity of the longitudinal passage slot (3), along the upper edge of the opening (100), and a deployed position in which the curtain (1) shuts off the opening (100) and in which the end slat (L') of the curtain (1) is on the opposite side from the protective casing (2) in the opening, along the lower edge of the opening (100),
    - the end slat (L') and the longitudinal passage slot (3) of the protective casing (2) are configured in such a way that the end slat (L') shuts off the longitudinal passage slot (3) of the protective casing (2) when the curtain (1) is in the wound position,
    - the end slat (L') is in one piece, and
    - the end slat (L') comprises a shut-off portion of which the thickness (E) is greater than the width (L1) of the longitudinal passage slot (3) and of which two opposite faces (F1, F2) butt against the respective lips (3a, 3b) of the longitudinal passage slot (3) when the curtain (1) is in the wound position,
    characterised in that:
    - the shut-off portion comprises two transverse shut-off facets (5c, 5d) which are respectively arranged on the one and the other of the opposite faces (F1, F2) of the end slat (L') and which bear against the lips (3a, 3b) of the longitudinal passage slot (3) when the curtain (1) is in the wound position,
    - the transverse shut-off facets (5c, 5d) are substantially coplanar and perpendicular to the mid-plane (A-A) of the curtain (1).
  2. Roller shutter according to claim 1, characterised in that a seal (6) is interposed between each of the opposite faces (F1, F2) of the end slat (L') and the corresponding lips (3a, 3b) of the longitudinal passage slot (3).
  3. Roller shutter according to claim 2, characterised in that the seals (6) are borne by the end slat (L').
  4. Roller shutter according to claim 2, characterised in that the seals (6) are on the lips (3a, 3b) of the longitudinal passage slot (3).
  5. Roller shutter according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the seals (6) are profiled elements in the form of a hollow half-cylinder made of elastomer.
  6. Roller shutter according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that a ventilation passage (7) is provided as a bypass of the protective casing (2).
  7. Roller shutter according to claim 6, characterised in that the ventilation passage (7) comprises a structure in the form of baffles (8a, 8b, 8c) in order to counter phonic transmission.
  8. Roller shutter according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the end slat (L') is made of aluminium.
